we've used this groomer regularly in the past 3-4 years however have been disappointed by the groomers' lackadaisical attitude in returning calls, most recently waiting three days to respond and then asking me to wait a fourth day before she would get back to me. on the other hand, the groomer has contacted us the past to ask that we honor reschedule requests she has made for both business and personal reasons. waiting four days to return a call is ridiculous and shows that they place little value on the work they do and in retaining clientele. due to lax customer service and poor responsiveness we sought another service provider. read more

Highly recommend Dog Gone Crazy! The salon is spacious, clean, and even has couches to sit on if you need to wait. We've taken several dogs to see Jaceen for baths or nail trims and she always gets them finished quickly, usually in an hour or less. They also worked with us if a dog needed a more quiet time to go in for grooming. Their prices are competitive and their patience and understanding is highly appreciated. I have got a lot of Rescue Pets. Cats, we have 4 in each flavor, orange or black. One long haired gray, one calico, one a stunning gunmetal blue tabby, those are the inside cats only. I also have three parrots an Indian ring neck and two amazons, a red crowned and a lilac crowned amazon. All of these animals are rescues. Oh we have dogs too. But today I would like to mention a great experience I had at Dog Gone Crazy. I'm a new customer, never been there until yesterday to look the place over and book an appointment for my Siberian Husky for nail trimming. So my appointment was at 3pm today. I arrived about 15 minutes early to allow my dog Lego, to calm down a little after the ride. I was greeted by the other groomers when I arrived and they went to get my assigned groomer. She came out into the waiting area, sat down on the floor beside my dog and her and I just began talking. Click, off came the first nail. Lego didn't know what had even happened. My dog wasn't a great customer but in a few moments and a dog treat or two, he was done. That was an efficient, caring groomer. My dogs feelings were always her top concern. When he was nervous she paused at times to settle the stress level my dog was feeling and me, I got the "old friend treatment" for sure. The prices were really reasonable. I debated this review for a while, but I feel like it should be said for others to be aware of. My dog, Zola, 9 year old rescue went it for her first grooming in January 2019. She's a king charles spaniel/pekingese mix. She looked so perfect and smelled amazing. Her groomer did amazing. I thought, "why not take her again?" I truly wanted her to trust one groomer for the rest of her life. I took her again in May 2019 and she just looked so miserable when I came in for her. 1. She didn't even smell like they gave her a bath and 2. Apparently they shaved so close to her stomach that she had a rash, which she scratched at for days. Luckily, I got my money back for the grooming, I only thought it was only fair. I understand my dog can be a little all over the place. She was abused a lot before I rescued her and she's not a fan of new people and places. I waited a while for her next grooming. A few weeks ago I texted her old groomer, heard nothing from her. I began looking through yelp and found someone else who happened to be at this same salon (I didn't notice until I took my dog). I took in Zola & left for some errands. An hour later, I get a call that Zola was biting and wouldn't calm down. Apparently all they could do in the one hour she was there was a bath... never in the two occasions I took Zola there did they say anything about biting. Mostly that she just shakes and gets nervous. She has never bit me, friends/family, or other dogs in public. So I was just so baffled over the phone and went to go pick up Zola. She was basically wet when I got her and they still had the nerve to charge $25 for services. No nail trim or nothing. A bath for $25 is ridiculous but I didn't want any issues so I paid. Long story short, I think there was more to why Zola possibly bit the groomer. That same day I took her to another grooming salon and they said she did just fine. read more

This is the third time I've taken my Labradoodle to Sabrina. I was extremely happy the first two times however because it took me forever to get in to see her the third time, I had to groom my dog at home. I wash and brush him regularly. He is a big boy and quite hyper and can be quite the handful. Today was NO exception. Sabrina told me when I picked him up that he Did NOT want to be groomed and was kind of wild. I wish she would have just called me to pick him up instead of shaving him completely as I was very specific when I told her that is not what I wanted. I was referred by a friend after I told her I couldn't get callbacks from many other groomers. Left vm and got a text reply not long after to arrange the appointment a couple weeks later. My dog is medium size (50 lbs) but has specific hair issues due to breed. Jaceen told me it would be about an hour to groom him. I didn't really believe it, others take four hours but evidently that's actually a lot of time in kennels just waiting. Not at DGC. After the last place groomed him he was definitely in some kind of weird trauma state and they told me he was extremely difficult which was the first time I'd ever been told that and it's not his personality but I told her he has issues with his feet and may need a muzzle (to go by the last place it seemed he was a junkyard dog, yeah I didn't buy that either.) So I wanted her to know ahead of time. She had no issues but said he's sensitive his feet having the hair trimmed but no big deal. The finished product was a good fall/winter field cut and he had no weirdness after like the other bozo. Reasonable price, easy to do given the short turnaround (you could have lunch or a shake at Woolworth's a few doors down and voila doggo is ready) and the cut is spot on.
