To be honest, I was very skeptical at starting this journey. I have been following Mike Flores for a couple years now on Facebook. I always see his posts about these people changing their lives. I contacted him a couple years ago just casually, and that alone I was not sure about because I have dealt with trainers in the past that where pushy and rude in a sense. I did not get any bad vibes from him and he did not try to push training sessions on me. However, I was not ready to embark on this new life style then. About a month ago I contacted Mike again. He was super pleasant and professional. I had gotten to the point where I did not want to get out of bed, I was always tired and insecure of how my body looked in the mirror. I weighted more than I have ever had and 40 percent body fat?! When I met Mike in person I was super nervous walking into Self Made, he did not make me feel uncomfortable, he was very friendly and honest. From day one he motivated me to push myself. I look forward to every session even though by then end of that hour I want to quit. I am very greatful I decided to step into this and have Mike help me. During my sessions, Mike is encouraging me to push myself, even though when it gets hard I want to give up he is right there saying "Come on a couple more! You can do it!" Because of him I am starting to feel more comfortable with my body, I have more energy, and I am getting stronger as I continue. I no longer have to see a physical therapist for my lower back. I recomend anyone and everyone to go see Mike Flores, if you want to see results and change your life! read more

Lets see where do i begin. Well for starters as many of you already know these are franchised facilities. First and foremost I don't want to take anything away from the individuals who have worked so hard towards a reputable Facility within the industry in OC, IE, SD, but let me tell you whoever they have managing this place in orange needs to really be reconsidered as an owner or as a employee representing the brand and facility. I sent my wife into this place to look at what they had to offer and in a nutshell the guy that was assisting her said it was $250.00 per month or $90.00 a session mind you while he was telling her the price he was on his phone texting which if you ask me that isn't to professional buddy considering you guys are new to the area and we are from villa park where a lot of your high end customers would be coming from. I also want to point out that he also indirectly said that this is probably something she couldn't afford. Excuse me, but for you to say that to someone you don't know is very unprofessional considering what you make in a whole month of work i probably make in one day! Again lack of experience and cheap labor or unexperienced ownership will give you this kind of service and to be honest if your training is anything like your customer service i am glad we will not be attending your gym. I will definately be spreading the word to our community here in villa park and orange. Lets just hope you guys take this review seriously cause with that kind of personnel on hand you will be lucky to stay afloat for more than a year. read more

I have worked out at lots of gyms with gym rat mentality...but don't let the fact that they don't have cardio machines all over the place fool you... This place has a very FAMILY feel everyone welcome air...The first time I walked in to meet my trainer Dave I was intimidated...but the people that work there - minus this one little kid Diego who seems like he more than likely is a punk to his own mother- are very friendly welcoming and helpful! The Trainer Dave: He is amazing and in 3 short months I have lost 30 plus pounds under him...and he has taught me for the first time how to have a healthy relationship with food...(and not healthy food and not shakes and nothing diet) I eat regular food and whatever I want really...I spent an entire day eating a family sized bag of doritos and made my trainer Dave laugh because he could see that even though I had ate the entire bag I had actually LEARNED how the system works...and how to still lose weight eating the things I want! I would highly recommend this gym and any of the trainers there they all seems really great...are super friendly and helpful...but if you are a fat kid like me choose Dave because he knows the secret to eating and can get the weight off of you quickly...I still have 60 plus pounds to lose but I guarantee it will come off with my trainer Dave there for the journey the entire way! read more

DAVE , Man o man what can I say about this guy that would give him justice as to how awesome of a trainer he is ! I discovered self made training facility through Google decided to go to an initial appointment with Dave. When I arrived not only Did I already feel like family but Dave personally was the first one to welcome me to the gym. After that Dave straight up just asked me what is your goal I gave him a short term goal of 30 days to prepare for my 30th birthday trip to Las Vegas where I was going to attend pool parties. Goes without saying the goal was very aggressive but Dave listened to what exactly I wanted and after that he executed a game plan with evidence of how we were going to get there. Not only did Dave deliver on his promises to get me to my goal but was available every single day I needed anything or had a question. You honestly do get what you pay for and Dave is worth every single last dollar that he charges. Top of the line training, awesome gym and equipment, and an undeniable attention to detail from trainer Dave. If you're not training with Dave you're doing yourself a disservice. read more

First day at Self Made.. and I really can't say enough. My expectations were beyond superseded. I was treated with the upmost care and professionalism I ever have stepping into a gym. Aside from that my trainer was on point and never left my side the entire time. He was honest and straightforward he didn't go easy on me and best of all he was willing to work on payment structures that worked best for me. I came in as a drop in and left a member and I owe it all to the man Quentin Simmons. Very respectful intelligent person and most of all you can tell this guy cares about his clients. Highly recommend scheduling a consultation with him if you need that little push he's the perfect person to turn to which by the way I've done his previous group boot camps and that's what got me to follow him to his location in orange. I'm so thankful for this orange location. Can't wait for this new journey oh and by the way my legs are noodles can barely walk right when I thought the work out was over Q hands me some bands and I had realized it had only just begun! Updates to follow xoxo read more

I've been training with Mike Flores/Hulk Fit Co at the Self Made Training Facility for about 6 weeks, and love the fact that this private facility has everything a large gym would but in a smaller, more personalized setting. Nothing worse or more overwhelming than waiting in line for equipment at bigger facilities but that's not the case here. Just trainers and their clients use this space, and while I had no idea this sort of facility/concept existed before I started training with Mike/Hulk Fit Co., I don't think I could workout at a public gym after my small gym experience here. Only feedback I would have is that it would be great if some of the other trainers could have the same courtesy as Mike by keeping their clients to time limits on the cardio equipment. Some of the other trainers plant their people on the treadmill forever and there should be time maximums so all can equally enjoy these machines given there are few of them - and only one treadmill. Overall, totally recommend Mike with Hulk Fit Co and this facility. read more

The facility rates five stars because it is always clean and weights are always in the right place and in order. Since everyone there is working out with a trainer (or is a trainer working out), there are no goof-offs or people just hogging a piece of equipment while looking at their phone. All the equipment is less than a year old, and I never see any broken equipment. In short, the place is very well maintained and a great place for a workout. As for my trainer? I train with Mike Flores of HulkFitCo, and he would rate ten stars in my book. I've been training with Mike for just over three years now and I've made so much progress in that time. He really knows his business and pushes me to excel - but he also manages to make the workouts fun too. (I don't know HOW he does that, considering how hard I work!) I would definitely recommend both Mike and Self Made Training Facility - and I have referred several people to him because I'm so happy with my training. read more

Mike is an excellent trainer. From the first time we met I knew he would help me obtain my goals. Mike took time to understand my home habits and workout capabilities and then designed a custom program for me. He works with me as a teammate as opposed to an instructor, which keeps me looking forward to each session. Over the past two months that I have been with Mike I have lost over 10lbs overall body weight, I have gained over 6lbs of muscle and decreased my body fat significantly. Mike is thorough, patient, and has an easy going personality but don't let that fool you. He will have you working hard and you will feel great about it. He has met and exceeded all of my trainer expectations. The Self Made Training Facility has state of the art training equipment that exceed my expectations. People are friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for an experienced trainer, Mike is the man! I hit the trainer jackpot when I found him. read more

No doubt, 5 stars. I absolutely love this place. I have never worked out previous to this but that was no problem for my trainer Q. He has eased me in to the process and reminded me constantly that my fitness goals are possible. With only about a month and a half of training I have noticed change! My pants fit looser and family and friends have taken notice of what I've been doing without me needing to tell them. In retrospect, I would have never been able to see myself to the point where I am now. I'm just getting started and a full change has happened inside of me as well. Working out is no longer a drag but something I look forward to doing because it makes me feel good. Q has also taught me the importance of eating and has suggested vegan meal ideas for me which are very helpful. Thank you Quentin for believing in me and pushing me towards my goals I can honestly say I would not be able to do this without your help. read more

I LOVE THIS GYM !!! The trainers are professional and knowledgeable, the gym is well kept and there are sanitizing sprays in every area of the gym. The owner Jamil is attentive and cares about his clients. This establishment is clean, professional, and has helped give me the tools to gain my confidence back, work on my health, and not to mention, I feel safe . I've been coming here for over 2 years and have NEVER had issues. If there were any concerns Jamil addressed them immediately. We deserve to have essential businesses like this open in our area. there are temperature screenings and health professionals overlooking clients and the trainers . This is a SAFE establishment, a clean one, and a comfortable place to train in. read more

Let me just begin by saying that Mike is an amazing trainer. He really takes his time to understand what it is that is important to his clients and what your ultimate goal is that you want to achieve. He is very knowledgeable about kinesiology and nutrition. He is unlike a lot of trainers you will come across. Mike is dedicated to get you those results and expects you to put 100% into your goals, because he will give you the same in return. He gives me the encouragement and motivation when I think "I can't" finish a set or when I want to give up. I'm really so happy that I came across Mike, because he pushes me to want to be stronger, fit and most definitely healthy. read more

GREAT AND EFFICIENT TRAINERS. I began personal training a few months ago and my experience has by far exceeded expectation. At first, the intimate gym setting was intimidating because of the numerous skilled trainers present showcasing their knowledge with budding clients. However, everyone was friendly. Definitely a no-judgment zone. Personally, my trainer, Raed Naser, has been essential in the transformation of my body, through tailored routines and targeted exercises. Muscle mass increased in just a couple weeks. Likewise, my flexibility and agility are on an all-time high. I recommend his services specially those whom are just beginning their fitness journey. read more

What a great environment this gym was. I had the pleasure of working here for 6 months as a personal trainer and I had never been in such an amazing work environment. The entire team here takes pride in how clean the place is, every single trainer here is passionate about their work, and the energy here is unlike any gym. Weights were always reracked, there was never any trash in the facility, the equipment is the BEST out of any gym in OC. Do yourself a favor and ditch the corporate gyms and come train with trainer here. They only bring on the best trainers in the OC area and anyone on the team is a great choice if you want long-term sustainable results! read more

I just wanna say I'm so thankful for finding this gym and even more thankful to my trainer Nate he is honestly SO AMAZING! He has taught me so well these last few months I've have had experiences were I was told what to do by a trainer but never really taught and never saw results and never really learned what I love about my training now is I'm taught not told! Which is the BEST THING! I've come so far in my training and all thanks to Nate's knowledge and love for helping people like me that no NOTHING ABOUT FITNESS! Lol the facility it's self is not intimidating like other gyms all friendly faces and great energy period! read more

Chelsea is seriously the best trainer!! She has completely changed my mindset when it comes to what to eat/drink, macro counting, weight lifting and my overall confidence. She is so encouraging but without being overbearing. She has made me feel so much more confident in myself and I am so happy that I made the decision to start training with her. If you are not sure about personal training or uncomfortable with any aspect of it, I highly suggest Chelsea. She will walk you through it step by step and is here for you to help you meet your goals. read more

The best fitness option in North Orange County! Love the concept of 1:1 Training with a full gym experience. There is a roster of so many trainers that there is a trainer for EVERYONE, no matter your age or fitness goals. Super clean, friendly, and supportive environment. You don't have to deal with arrogant trainers or show off gym-goers. Training with QUENTIN SIMMONS has been a game changer for me. The owner is there every single day so this is clearly a place where everyone is engaged and committed! read more

This facility is fantastic. The equipment provided here is great. Although I don't train here anymore, the time I was here was a good experience. The mornings and evenings were pretty packed unfortunately but theres nothing anyone can do about that. In terms of equipment variety, there were so many and it made each program I was on more fun. My trainer was fantastic. Only giving a 4 star due to the crowdedness read more

I trained here for a period of time and ultimately decided to move on because the environment didn't align with my standards. In my experience, issues around cleanliness, communication, and overall professionalism made it hard for me to do my best work. That may work for others, but it wasn't the right fit for me. I'm sharing this so people can make an informed decision based on what they value. read more
