I went to the clinic, and spoke with the staff. They were very friendly, and showed me around the clinic. They told me about the treatment option, and said the could fit me in right away. I gave them my referral from my Orthopedic doctor, and they scheduled my appointments for the week. The the 1st appointment after waiting about 15 minutes, my therapist said he was just doing an assessment of my range of motion. I only took about 30 minutes. He massaged my shoulder, did some slight movement of my arm, and instructed me to do some rotation and sliding exercises. He put a heating pad on my shoulder, and that was it. The 2nd appointment I had to wait 15 minutes before similar treatment. The 3rd appointment, I had to wait 20 minute before being called to a massage table. My assigned therapist was working on another patient. I was given a table just a few feet away from where he was. I was agreed to a heat pad on my shoulder while I waited for my therapist. I sat with the pad for another 20 minutes. At this point I was annoyed. Why schedule an appointment when you clearly are not available. Another therapist named JC came to my table and took the pad off my shoulder. He tried to change the position of the table, but he did not know how to operate it. He went over to another therapist to ask for assistance. That is when I realized that he was new, and obviously inexperienced! He massaged my shoulder for about 5 minutes. I was visibly in pain, and he was scared to treat me. He said it was unusual for a patient to be in that much pain even though I had surgery less than 3 weeks ago. He told me that I needed to call my doctor. I was shocked and mortified that Align clinic would assign such an experienced therapist who didn't know how to treat me. I waited 40 minutes for about 10 minutes worth of treatment. I called my doctor's office immediately after I left, and was advised not to return to Align clinic. I then called Align clinic, and told them that my doctor and I decided that I was not a good fit for this clinic and I would not be returning. In my opinion this clinic is more like a gym than a therapeutic clinic. The staff is pleasant, and the clinic is clean, however I think the clinic is not organized, as I didn't see anyone writing notes or looking at records of their patients. The clinic was very crowded and it seems the priority is on getting the most business instead of making sure each patient gets the best treatment.

It was the wrong choice as this was a horrible experience for my mom. The workers here are extremely rude. The way they questioned my mom about why she was here was so insensitive. They made her feel like she was lazy and this was all due to her aging. She could walk perfectly fine a few weeks ago and had no injuries or accidents, but they kept insinuating she was simply not trying hard enough. My mom was very active before this so this made her very upset. The care here is abysmal. They don't try at all. They will point at a machine or exercise equipment and say, "do this 10 times" and not even be next to the patient as they do the exercise. Which is extremely dangerous and neglectful. They sit on their phones across the rooms and ignore their patients. My mom and other patients would have to wave their arms like they were drowning to get the attendants attention. It honestly doesn't feel like these are actual physical therapists but random people they found off the street to sit there and monitor patients. If your doctor recommends this place, request another company. This is a joke of a facility and you will not get the care or help you need. I have been a professional photographer for many decades. In retirement, I still pursue nature photography. Those heavy film and digital cameras and even heavier telephoto lenses do take a toll on the body. I keep relatively active hiking and doing cleanups on our public lands. I needed some guidance on maintaining my active lifestyle with some core exercises to add to my Yoga. The staff at ATI were very helpful in giving me some exercises to work with. The place is very busy most of the time. The staff rotate from one client to another. The staff are very kind and respectful. Most often I would finish with my routines and wait for the physical therapist to finish with another client so they could attend to me with the next exercise. I did not work with one main physical therapist. I did like some of the equipment, but unless I join a gym, most of this equipment is out of reach for me. However, I do the floor exercises on my Yoga mat almost daily. I feel better now! I can engage in most of my activities! Diet, exercise, and staying active are most important as one ages!
