Some how I did something to my left wrist and thumb on Saturday…read more By Monday I was in serious pain and could not use my left hand cor much of anything. I called NOSC and while I was on hold while they checked my insurance, I heard that they had a "Fast Track Clinic". When the lady came back on the phone she told me that it would be about 10 days before I could see a doctor. I asked her about the FastTrack option and she told me that they accepted walkin's for emergency patient. I thanked her and told her that I would try that because I couldn't take the pain for another 10 days. I made it to the office when they first opened. I was given forms to fill out and once they were filled out I was called into the office. I explained my problem with my wrist and the nurse sent me upstairs for x-rays. Then I came back to the office and the PA-C Paul Morgan came in to see me. I explained where the pain was, he checked the x-rays and asked how I hurt it. I told him I had no idea, it just out of nowhere started hurting and got worse for two days. He felt my wrist and asked me about where and how the pain was. He marked a couple of spots on the side of my wrist and went to get some medicine. He gave me a shot in one of the spots and massaged the medicine in. Mr. Morgan asked if that had helped. I told him it had helped but there was still pain and I showed him where. He got more medicine and gave me another shot about 1/2 an inch from the first shot. Again he massaged the medicine in and the pain was much better. Mr.Morgan told me that I should wear a brace for two weeks and come back to see him in three weeks. I went to an another office on that floor and they fitted me with a brace. I was on my way home with 99% of the pain gone. The next day I was back to normal but I continued to ear the brace as Mr. Morgan said. I saw Mr. Morgan three weeks later and told him he was a miracle worker. I was in so much pain and had no idea where to turn to. I am so glad I found the Fast Track Clinic and Mr.Morgan. Their office opens at 10 AM and I was home before Noon that same day. Thanks everyone at NOSC and the Fast Track office.

I had an accident over a…read moremonth ago and decided I didn't need to go to the doctor at the time that it happened, but I am still experiencing pain in my hand. I called to make an appointment and they had to check with Dr. Golshani to see if he could see me because it was an accident. He has declined to see me and wanted to send me clear across town to start with a new doctor. This is very poor patient care, and not acceptable. Also, their phone system to call-in is absolutely horrible. The people that answer the phone are very nice but getting to them takes a really long time and it is not a good system. In another note, when I initially started seeing him, it was for issues in my hands and joints. He basically told me to quit my job to stop the pain from happening.

After my initial evaluation, the physical Therapist, Alyssa Garrison, PT, DPT designed a six-session physical therapy program which allowed for modified exercises when required to assure noticeable improvements. There will be times when you're not looking forward to your workout. However, if you can shift your perspective to the intended outcome - return to daily activities with minimal pain and limitations - you will benefit by showing up and being coachable by the team - a physical therapist, assistants, and / or technicians. And by all means, don't let the mode of transportation derail your progress, just give it your all. I am forever grateful to ATI and Alyssa Garrison for strengthening not only my body but my spirit as well. Someone even filled out a lot of the paperwork for me. At first, Dr. Chan said I could go back to being a School Crossing Guard the next day with a fractured hip. Really? His idea of a treatment plan was whatever I wanted. Instead of answering my questions directly, Dr. Chan would reply "What do you think?" or "It's up to you." When I asked about physical therapy to get me back to work ASAP, Dr. Chan pulled out 'A+ Home Health Systems' brochure with the sweet old lady on the cover even though my studio apartment has no physical therapy equipment. Dr. Chan said he uses them for all his patients requiring physical therapy. Follow-up appointment would've been with his assistant. Fortunately, I got a second opinion elsewhere, and found out that Dr. Chan had MISDIAGNOSED ME! TROCHANTERIC BURSITIS LEFT HIP WAS THE CORRECT DIAGNOSIS rather than a fracture, and I got successfully treated elsewhere.

My concern is not with the care I received, but with the communication of the office policy. If arriving 30 minutes early is required regardless of whether paperwork has been completed, that should be clearly communicated to patients in appointment reminders and confirmations. I have been getting injections regularly when the pain flairs up. I was told when I asked for an appointment that they would have to take xrays because it has been a year since the last xrays. I showed up 12 minutes early for my appointment and was told I should have been there 30 minutes early to fill out the "annual" paperwork. So, they refused to see me despite me telling them I was in serious pain, and rescheduled me for two weeks from now. So much for compassionate care!!!!! You are in pain? Well tough it out and show up 30 minutes early for your appointment if you want to see the Dr. See you in two weeks. PS I was never told on the phone when I made the appointment to show up thirty minutes early, nor was I informed in the email and texts they sent to me.

Pain, such a simple word but yet for some this simple word can be catastrophic, so much so that pain literally drives individuals over the edge; Spencer, my Physical Therapist (and I say "My" with great pride), and his team of caring, nurturing, knowledgeable individuals such as Stephanie at Optimal Physical Therapy, literally grabbed me by my hands as I stood on that edge, and looked me in my eyes and promised me the deliverance of their full attention in regards to my personal care and not to mention a hands-on attempt to relieve my chronic pains that I have endured for the greater part of 25 years and pulled me back to sanity. I say sanity in due part of the professionalism that is delivered from Spencer and his team; one can have all the knowledge in the world but without empathy that is associated with professionalism and knowledge, a goal cannot be achieved. My goal was simple, to salvage a life that was discarded by capitalism and it's better interest; you see, I was one of millions of Americans that was subjected to what I consider a butchering by the hands of the medical community via "back-surgery" in 1993; this practice of promising individuals a relief from spinal injuries through back surgeries was common place from the year 1980 through the year 2000. This dileberate exercise in greed rather than compassion from the medical community has now resulted in an epidemic in our great nation called The Opiad Crisis. I, as many Americans throughout the years could not obtain proper medical coverage in the form of insurance due to a pre-existing condition, and because of this I could never find or receive proper medical care; basically said, a single lumbar disc issue from 25 years ago has resulted in advanced cervical disease as well as advanced lumbar disease, and the multitude of problematic issues associated with. To make an incredibly long and sad story short I say this, if in anyone in whom sees and reads my words, and is indeed in pain, in agony, and/or suffering as I once was, by all means give Spencer, Stephanie, and everyone at Optimal Physical Therapy a try, a chance; with their hands-on idealism and techniques, and without question a true belief in people, OPT provides for all of the necessary tools for anyone to become better health wise, and to live with less pain. My son, who has cerebral palsy and is on the autism spectrum, recently underwent major surgery on both of his legs. The team at Optimal Physical Therapy has been nothing short of amazing in supporting his recovery. From the moment we started, Nicole, his physical therapist, along with Jacob, the PTA, and Madison, the technician, have gone above and beyond in working with him. They've kept him motivated, which can be challenging at times, and made sure he stays engaged with his exercises, despite the difficulties he faces. What stands out the most is how they've consistently addressed all my concerns, no matter how big or small, without ever making me feel inadequate for not knowing something. They take the time to explain everything, ensuring we both understand what's happening and why it's important. It's clear that they care deeply about my son's progress, and their positive, encouraging approach has made a significant difference. These guys are awesome. I injured my lower back and was in extreme pain, barely could walk with walker. I called another physical therapy chain and they said they can see me in 3 weeks ! Called Optimal and they told them my situation, they took me in right away. very nice office and my therapist Spencer is a great guy. Very knowledgeable. After first treatment, at least I can walk without the walker. read more
