I went on the 2nd of April. The ask you go come a half hour early. Why? I came and waited. Then it was the real appointment time and the therapist was late a half hour. No apology and she spoke and gave me a 2 minute demonstration and sent me home to work on it. I left at the time I would have left if she had been on time and given me the amount of time to demonstrate and serve me. I did a no show the next appointment time. They told me that I would have to pay $50.00 because I did not come. The original agreement was $35.oo if you were there and had been served. First I think they owe me an apology for being a half hour late and wasting my time to come and sit 30 minutes early. Therefore, my no show should be a wash. I have been going to this establishment for approximately 9 months, They should be accountable for the clients or customers time. I thought this was not professional or quality. read more

I was referred to Mike by my podiatrist for what he diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. I was skeptical about the diagnosis but knew I needed some help if I was going to run the race for which I'd been training. Mike is a genius... a master of his craft and a wealth of information. I valued his input as a runner, and appreciated his knowledge and experience as a PT. However, I only saw him a couple of times after the first consult. He did blow the PF diagnosis out of the water, for which I was grateful, and explained in detail what was actually ailing me. On two occasions I had long waits prior to being called back. I worked a couple times with a PT in training who was nice, albeit not as knowledgeable, and I really wanted to call in the big guns to nip this problem in the bud. It's why I asked my podiatrist specifically for someone who can look at this problem from a runner's perspective. On another visit, I didn't realize the appointment was only to tape my foot, and I saw another PT who really didn't seem to give me the time of day. It literally was a 15 minute appointment. For that, I could have watched a YouTube video and saved myself the time and trouble of going in. When Mike spent time doing soft tissue work on my calf, it's the ONLY time the runs felt good in the following following days. And with consistent adherence to my plan of care, I still really had no lasting relief. On my last visit Mike worked with me and informed me he'd be out the following week, the week of my race. We didn't schedule another appointment and I really hadn't felt like I had a good plan in place to keep my discomfort at bay. I got through my race (with a PR!) with minimal discomfort, but here I am again, on to the next training session and struggling with the same issue. I continue to do the exercises I learned here, but I didn't"graduate" my physical therapy program with a sense that I have the tools and knowledge to do what I love doing with minimal pain. read more

Just wanted to take the time to praise the staff here. I have been experiencing severe shoulder pain for over 7 months and finally after a few treatments from Spencer and Calvin, I'm feeling some relief. I have 5 small tears in my shoulder and I'm trying to avoid surgery, if at all possible. Dry needling, paired with exercises and heat, electrical nerve stimulation, taping of my shoulder and my personal favorite, the shoulder blade massage (By Calvin), made a huge difference. I was in a boatload of pain. When I first went to Optimal Physical Therapy, I was in such bad shape I had to lay down constantly because of my back. Riding in the car (someone else had to drive!) was very painful. I wasn't thrilled about having to do Physical therapy, but the pills didn't really work. I was certain that surgery was my only real option. I couldn't have been more wrong. Spencer and his team at Optimal dramatically changed the course of my pain treatment. He and the staff constantly worked closely with me to make sure I was doing OK. In the beginning, I had to rest my back 10 minutes between exercises. It was awful. The staff never rushed me, pushed me to do more than I should. When my pain was at my worst, they were at their best! There were constantly kind, helpful and caring. Step by step, day by day, I began to get better. Today I no longer need physical therapy, and I have crossed back surgery off my to-do list. I can run errands, cook, go to work, hang out with friends... I can enjoy my life again. I couldn't recommend them any higher. They are awesome! read more

I saw Mike at the Horizon Ridge location and can't say enough good things about him and his staff! I came to the office after an incredibly painful back injury and Mike came up with a great treatment plan for me that had me feeling far better than I expected to just a couple of weeks later. Keeping up with the exercises at home along with the traction and treatment I received in the office now have me feeling great. Dessa and the office staff are fantastic, too, very sweet and helpful. We got the absolute run around from ATI and taken advantage of there when they could not deliver actual services so getting a 2nd opinion here with Courtney was an absolute miracle. Very disappointed in my visit here. I made an appointment to see Jason (the clinic director) a couple of weeks in advance. When I arrived, after waiting for nearly 45 minutes, I was instead seen by someone more junior without explanation. Brent Yamashita and the staff at the Windmill location is great. I've had lingering shoulder mobility issues and pain since arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum about 10 years ago. I had pretty much given up on it, and was considering another surgery but after a conversation with Brent I decided to give PT another try. In just 3 weeks I've gained back about 50% of the mobility in my shoulder, and have been able to do shoulder exercises I've avoided for 10 years. Been going for physical therapy for over 6 months. The last place I went said it was my sciatic nerve causing me the pain and despite all the exercises and treatment never got better. Mike really listened to me and diagnosed me correctly. He uses dry needling and different exercises. I am finally seeing an end to the pain after two years. I had shoulder surgery in September and been working with them on that. Already have full movement and little pain thanks to Mike, Tevan and Taylor.
