I went online to do some research and found that Dr. N performed what was then new, minimally invasive surgery. Fast forward 7 years and my left (non surgery foot) has been giving me trouble. Went to see him and they went through the normal X-ray procedure. But here's the difference. The X-ray technician was the funniest guy I've ever met. Even though he does this many times per day, it was very personal (and funny). Dr. Neufeld is good at what he does too, he got a test authorization from my insurance company when he said they normally don't. I trust this Dr and this practice. You should too.

Alternatively, I would have taken my chances with the 30% of tendon left and managed the occasional flare-ups in lieu of surgery.

Her name is Ligia (pronounced Leah) and she proceeded to provide maximum relaxation via a deep tissue/Swedish combo massage. Listen, I actually went to sleep and had to be awakened! I was not ready to go! The best way to describe her hands, was like a body facial application! Her hands were buttery soft but woah the pressure was spot on!! It felt like I was floating hence I went to sleep! Towards the end, face up was time spent on my scalp, face and Decollete...who knew I needed that soooo bad! It was heavenly!! Take the stairs up to get to the entrance of the Urgent Care Center. The other way to find a place is to park in the garage and then walk around on the outside of the garage to find the stairs that lead to the entrance of the Urgent Care center. There are signs on the walls that will indicate the Urgent Care Center. Cons: First, they give you forms that are copied from an original that was obviously highlighted so you can't see some of the words. I don't understand why they can't get a clean copy of the forms. Second, the forms are outdated and do not have a lot of room for you to write your medical history, medications, etc. Third, the medical assistant needs more tact in communication. She opened the door and pointed in my direction, but I was sitting around a group of people, so it wasn't clear who she was pointing to. She should have announced the last name of the person. It's rude to point fingers at people. I tried to clarify if she was asking for me to come up, and then, she says yes you. She has very poor communication skills. She does not greet you at all. She doesn't explain the process or what to do after the visit is over. I have managed medical clinics, so I know what I am talking about. Pros: The receptionist seemed proficient. The place is clean and seems organized. The wait is usually not that long, but you can always call ahead to see how long the wait is. The physician assistant seemed proficient and was friendly. As with any medical visit, always call ahead to confirm if they take your insurance and bring your ID and insurance card(s), a list of your current medications, medical conditions/history, and other names of your other doctors to make it easier. I would visit them again to give them another chance if I ever needed Urgent Care again. I hope they use this feedback to improve.

This is key for me since family commitments make it difficult to find the time. I had a one hour massage with Christina after a quick 10-15 minute introduction session. As a runner I made it clear I wanted deep muscle therapy and wanted help with general flexibility. She was awesome. She had a great intuition for just how much pressure to apply. She also knew when to provide additional attention to any problem area. It really is the best massage I've had in this area. After our one hour session, she spent a little bit of extra time helping me out with some stretches and provided some great ideas for how to stretch while sitting at a desk all day. Nothing worked. I had never tried deep tissue massage before so I thought, why not? After hearing about my problem, Christina immediately zeroed in on the root cause. After working on my back with impressive endurance for an hour, my back felt looser than ever. The stiffness was significantly reduced. In fact, I had not felt so close to normal in so long that I almost thought something was wrong. I will definitely be back to the Art of Massage to get rid of this problem for good.
