As the product was delayed time after time after time Danny wasn't responsive I would have to track him down and had to call repeatedly to get in contact with him. He provided a quote much higher than the estimate and when I question about it he got defensive and denied the original estimate. But I decided to use him anyway because I only needed to replace 2 doors so I didn't want to waste time going back and forth. Then, about a month ago, Eddie replaced my blue high-gloss kitchen door with a different door that does not match the rest of my kitchen doors. While the color is the same, the new door does not have the same thermofoil finish as the original. Instead, it appears to have simply been painted with blue high-gloss paint. There are also several other issues with the replacement door: -The inside of the original door was black, but the new door is white. -The original door had three hinges, but he installed only two. -The new door is loose and does not appear to be properly secured. I have asked Eddie to come back and fix the loose door, but he continues to make excuses, saying that he is not in the building. At this point, I am very disappointed with both the quality of the replacement door and the lack of follow-up service.

After we met IK, heard their ideas and shared some of our dream items for our family home, we decided to re-design our ENTIRE apartment using IK as our design team for architectural services and selections across 2300 interior square feet. This included redesigning our apartment layout, tripling the size of our kitchen and gutting 3 full bathrooms and enhancing one other bathroom. We could not have done it without Lauren, Olga, Adriana and the entire IK team of designers and project managers. IK is on top of it all. We had weekly design and logistics meetings that included our budget tracking and our selection tracking. They were able to show us what our apartment was going to look like through amazing renderings that were so life-like, it was the first time I was able to truly see what I was putting together. They worked with us on finishing selections, coordination with the contracting team over 6 months with multiple weekly visits, the architect and expeditors, the ancillary services and resources for glass, marble, cabinetry and more. IK was able to deliver us the home of our dreams in NYC. Although it was a complicated and nearly year long project, we felt ready to take it all on because of IK and their team and their contacts. They were there for us every step of the way, kept us on budget and were able to meet with varying providers when we weren't, acting like our own right hand. I would recommend IK to anyone looking to do a bathroom or a kitchen or a complete and total renovation just like ours. Matter of fact, I have already referred several friends and neighbors to them. We had a couple of false starts on the first appointment, bur from that point on, John was incredibly responsive, professional and clear in communications with us. We must have had him develop and tweak the drawings 8+ times before we arrived at the final drawings. He personally came to the site to measure a few times. GKD only supplies stock cabinetry - nothing custom. Their warehouse is in New Jersey. As a result, the cabinets were delivered to us 7 days after we approved the final drawings; as promised and in good condition. One back panel was in the wrong material; the correct panel was delivered the next day. We also needed to modify and order other panels, and John was very accommodating and helpful in arranging that immediately. Other cabinet suppliers we talked to seemed to specialize in expensive custom cabinetry, which we felt was unnecessary for our needs, and the timeframe for delivery was 6 to 8 weeks (from Europe). Heaven knows what would happened if one piece was damaged or incorrect - it could protract the cabinet work by months. Speaking of costs, GKD was very affordable - again, a consideration that mattered greatly to us. The quality of the cabinets was very good, including the soft close features of the drawer and doors. The range of cabinet designs and materials was also very good. We felt we got excellent value for our money, but more than anything else, we got wonderful, personalized service from John.
