What a breath of fresh air he is, someone who's pleasant, honest and knows what he's doing. That doesn't seem like a lot to ask for, but it's really hard to find in a contractor. So far he's changed out all my outlets and light switches, installed a couple of bathroom fans, changed my old 70's florescent kitchen light box to track lighting and rearranged the lighting in my master bathroom. Our pool electrician had finished wiring our pool equipment, left, and afterwards we found that we could not set one of the breakers. We called him and he said he would come out to fix it the next time he was in the area. That was over a week ago. We called Bryan and he set an appointment for the next day. He called before arriving to let me know that he would be there earlier if I would like, and of course I said yes. When he arrived, he took one look at the work, saw what was wrong, and immediately fixed our spa heater issue. The other electrician had put in a $100 breaker that would not work, and Bryan replaced it with a $9 breaker that did work. I was able to return the breaker, get a refund, pay Bryan, and had enough left to take the family to dinner. I've used Bryan for 4 separate projects since 2015 for our townhouse/condo. He's replaced our breaker box, installed new ceiling fans in all our rooms and installed recessed lights in our living room. Haven't had an issue with his work. Haven't had to call him back for a second fix or any issues. As far as pricing I can only share that back in 2015 our breaker box was making a popping noise. Called 3 companies and was quoted 1000$, 1500$ and Bryan came out and charged me 500$. And it's worked perfectly since. Never called another electrician or shopped around since. When I started to hesitate, they told me exactly what they would do if they came out and said to try that. If it still doesn't work, then call them back and they would be happy to diagnose my issue. Well, about 5 minutes of work fixed my issue and I never had to call them back. The best service and the best work at very reasonable prices! I did an entire tear-out and remodel, and Bryan Selberg was the best sub contractor of the bunch. He has a fantastic attitude. He showed up on time and did all the work for the exact price he bid the job for before he started working. Bryan ran overhead lights in 3 rooms, installed GFI switches and did a lot of other small electrical stuff. His cuts were clean and everything worked well when he was done. And Bryan went more than the extra mile. He let me borrow his 10 foot ladder so I could do patch work and paint. Nice guy. But never got back to me with a quote. He said give him 24 hours to put a quote together, i gave him 4 days, when i didn't hear back i called him. He asked for my email and said he would email me a quote by the end of the day, he didn't. I thought, maybe he heard me wrong, so i text him my info. No response back and never got a quote. When he was at my house trying to diagnose the issue he was completely off base from the problem. I told him i had arching on top of my roof were the electrical line was leading from the power box to my pool equipment. He never even went on the roof to look, he immediately said it was my pool equipment. When a real electrician came out to my house, they went to where i told them the arching was happening and sure as shit, the wires ended up being exposed to some rain and shorted out. Pool equipment had nothing to do with it. In short, happy he never emailed/called/text me back. Saved me a ton of time,money and frustration. Use him at your own risk. Like i said in the beginning, very friendly and nice. Sooo be sure to get a 2nd opinion if you decide to use him to check his work. read more

On 3/15, I had George Brazil come out to take a look at a faulty 3-way switch. They took the switches and outlet off to test the wiring, and after putting everything back, handed me a $1500 estimate to fix the short in the wiring. Said the wiring would need to be redone, which included going into the walls. Oh, and that estimate did not include the drywall repair that would be necessary to fix the holes in the walls they would need to make. That did not sound right, so I called Selberg Electric, who laughed when they heard what they said. He told me he still thinks it's something simple, and probably less than $300. On 3/24, Selberg Electric came out to look at that same 3-way switch. They also took everything off to test the wiring, and quickly determined that I didn't take the tab off the outlet when I replaced it months ago, causing the outlet to always stay on. Then one of the 2 switches was also bad. They replaced both switches, and was done in under 45 minutes. Final price: $160. If I (or anyone I know) ever need electrical work again, Selberg Electric will be the ONLY people I call. I cannot explain the amount of relief (and anger) that a potential $1500-$2000 repair was done for $160. read more
