I had a pretty simple job; I wanted to attach to an existing flood lamp and go around a corner to add a second one over my BBQ pits. When John came out to install the extension, my only request was to obscure the conduit under the eaves. We were initially planning to install rigid conduit, but John explained that the bends would be too sharp for rigid conduit. He decided that flexible conduit would do a much better job at giving me what I wanted. The end result was exactly what i had hoped for. Oh my goodness there aren't enough stars for the level of service we got from John. My mother in law just closed on her home in Sun City. Long story short my husband turned off the main thinking it's like normal panels to remove a light fixture. Well apparently in Sun City you can't just be flipping your main breaker off. After having another electrician come by telling us we need permits, replace panel or breaker (if the breaker was even available) we could be $2000-$4000. Yesterday I discovered my GFCI outlet in my garage had tripped. It is the outlet that I use for my refrigerator and deep freezer. The predicted temperature for yesterday was 100+. I put on my best electrician's hat, went to Ace, picked out the closest GFCI outlet to match the one that has stopped working and then spent the next 20 minutes replacing it. When I turned the power back on, green light appeared on the outlet... but nothing I plugged in would receive power...I had just exhausted my electrician skills. I called (I wish I would have caught the guy's name), but a gentlemen answered, listened to my story, and then said "I know exactly what's wrong..." He then spent the next 5 minutes of his time, explaining how I could fix the issue. He finished by saying, "if that doesn't work, call me back and I'll come take a look." When I called him he told me he "forgot about me a blew me off because his mother and sister are in town".
