I can't say enuf about the See Center. I have been a customer since 2009!! Yes ! I have 99% See frames. I travel for a living and they will always send me my frames when done ! Kate here has received a pair of frames that I had done in San Jose actually. They sent them to Seattle where I live by mistake! Oopsie dummies..lol. So Seattle sent them here asap for me. Kate was so good to me today. We had come in just as she was opening up. I had 4 pair to adjust since I had my new lenses put in ( new prescription ). They are all See frames except one. I am normally a one-pair-of-glasses-to-wear-at-night, contacts-all-the-time kind of girl. Almost a year ago I got my first pair of SEE glasses and have been wearing them so often, I started thinking about another pair! I went back to SEE to try on some more frames, looking for a more funky pair to balance out my tortoiseshells from a year ago. My first visit to SEE was so magical, I was a little worried that this time wouldn't live up to my memory... Silly me! It was just as great! The manager, Kate, remembered me and my husband--wow! We've never met and Ben knew which eyeglasses to get, spread contacts case & solution in the back, and gave me space to look in the mirror. "Don't lift a finger," he insisted, after I was done. He told some stories of a roadtrip and where he was from; his smiles overflowed the minutes. "Please come back, just to chat," and when I did, another employee handed me eye piece after piece, like kids who share Halloween candy and peace. The last time I updated my glasses prescription was 1998. I only really used my glasses for when I'm about to go to bed or if I was too lazy to put my contacts in during the weekend. I figured it was about time to get some new glasses. I searched online for Aetna providers, and SEE came up. I was encouraged by the few reviews I saw and decided to go in. I can't speak to the quality of the eye exam since I already had my prescription. I came in, explained what I was looking for, and Ben was very helpful in finding me different frames to try on. I ultimately decided on a pair of plastic tortoise glasses. The plus side is that if you have a low nose bridge, you can always get nosepads put in later. I also decided to get high index lenses (thinner lenses for those of us with bad eyesight) with transition ability (new technology has updated this to be much cooler than the transition lenses of the 90s). Every insurance plan is different, but I got 30% off my frames and lenses. Total cost of the glasses were $200 cheaper than the ones I bought 17 years ago and can also be worn in the sun (bonus)! So I'm pleased. Glasses come in 7-10 days. I'm excited. Ben was very helpful and not pushy. The other staff that were there were easy to talk to. I liked the selection there given my mostly conservative but not school marmish taste. I was in and out in less than an hour. Granted it was not busy (yet) but typically it gets very busy Saturday afternoons. I'll be back here again when I need my next pair. And I won't wait 17 years. read more

I just purchased my first pair of glasses. This is traumatic enough. I had my prescription diagnosis done at St. Paul Eye Clinic and then I went frame shopping. The frames I picked out from See are outstanding as they have a very chic selection. The best part was the super helpful staff. The manager, Ben was always there to answer my technical questions and assure me that at my age (cough cough) it takes longer to adjust to a first pair. They were even willing to do a complimentary exam there if I went too long feeling like the prescription was incorrect. Two weeks later, I'm doing fine with no further action. I had a contact lens exam here. The store is really nice and clean, and everyone working there could not have been nicer. Especially the optometrist- she was very helpful and kept trying to figure out my eye problem. I would definitely go back. The contacts exam was $111, which was cheaper than costco and the optometrist did a better job than those at costco (I normally go there). Highly recommend. read more

See is much more than just an eye glasses shop. I bought my first pair of "good" glasses at this store, after buying cheap and poor quality glasses from an online retailer. I had bought glasses off the internet (not from See) and things were not going well. They gave me headaches, made me dizzy and were constantly out of adjustment. I walked the block to Hennepin and instantly had many choices of shops to choose from. I walked into See intending to look at glasses and ask if they might adjust my glasses that i had bought from the internet. Little did i know, everyone at See would take care of my eyewear needs. For months they adjusted my crappy internet glasses *for free* - sometimes as much as weekly as they would get out of wack. Eventually, I was fed up and bought glasses from See. This experience was just awesome - i found good frames extremely quickly, which were affordable (the See core collection is great) and good looking. Furthermore, these frames are not some big brand name, and therefor are not marked up in price. I have been back to See many times since for adjustments and the employees at See are more than happy to help. Even better, Kate and the other employees have made the shop an incredibly friendly place, so much so that i will stop in just to chat fairly often when i'm in the area - literally no other business has had this effect on me in a long time. read more

I have generally crappy vision, and a new prescription sent me to look at cooler frame options than the big chains offer. I was given a nice welcome at the SEE Minneapolis outlet, lotsa cool frames and good advice on frame styles for my round noggin by the staff there. With a neat frame picked, they pointed me to a promo available which put them in my price comfort range. It seems that ALL eyewear from designer shops ends up in the same general cost range except cut rate junk - which I don't want. When the glasses arrived, I was well fitted out and to my surprise, their progressives are WAY better for my vision needs than others I have purchased elsewhere. I LOVED my experience with SEE Eyewear! I gotta be honest, I was expecting to be slightly disappointed because I have no nose bridge, and assumed that I wouldn't be able to pick out fun frames. However, SEE can attach nose pads to almost any frame in their shop, since all of the frames are theirs! How awesome is that?! I've never been able to wear cute or fun frames, so this was a real treat! I probably tried on like 40 different frames. The lady helping me was great -- I knew she wouldn't let me walk out of there with frames that didn't compliment my face. My glasses took just under 3 weeks to arrive, because of the custom nose pads being added to them. SEE was up front about that, so no surprise there at all. I'm VERY happy with them! Overall, great customer service, great product, and I'd definitely recommend SEE! read more

Had to get new glasses...no...I had to. The coating on my pair had started to decay almost to the point that I couldn't see out of them. Sure I may have waited a bit long to replace them but lets not go there. My daughter had gotten a pair from the store in St Louis and really liked them so we stopped in to this location for mine. Great store...great sales folks...quick. I'm fighting the holidays so its awhile till I get them but I'll post a follow-up on the final fitting. These guys and gals pull out all the stops in customer service, they have wicked fun frames (with NO attached brand logo), and actually have a nice selection of quite affordable frames in addition to high end. My husband and I had appointments at SEE in Uptown Minneapolis at 1pm on a Saturday. We showed up a few minutes late due to construction on Hennepin Avenue and they refused to take either one of our appointments without engaging in any reasonable dialogue about alternative options. The lady behind the desk seemed pissed off and we felt like she projected her anger onto us. It was terrible customer service. We went two doors down to another optomitrist and were warmly welcomed and quickly accommodated. We will not be returning to SEE. read more
