When I was called back I was asked to give a urine sample. I informed the person who asked that I hadn't menstruated for over 7 years but she still insisted. I was shocked and refused. The woman (she didn't tell me her name or position and did not wear a name tag) then took my blood pressure as she asked me questions, did not offer a way to raise my arm ( using a table or holding my arm up). The reading was way off my typical numbers and I asked her to redo the testing. She said "no it's fine," and refused to redo it. The lady then started walking out and didn't give me further directions. I asked if I should put on the medical robe that was left on the table and she said yes. She was curt, rude and not professional. The bathroom and pre- procedure room were dirty and deteriorated. I saw dirt on the ground and on the walls. I was not properly introduced to any of the staff members whose was shocking. None of them wore name tags! I didn't know if I was talking to a nurse, tech, or doctor. When I was brought to the procedure room, nobody even turned around to acknowledge I was in the room, no less say hi or introduce themselves. A man walked up and said "enjoy your nap" and began to put (what I expected to be) a sedative. I have no idea what his position was, again because no name tag or introduction. I asked what he was giving me because he did not tell me. This was appalling. Also, nobody checked my name tag, asked to confirm what procedure I was having, or asked who I was when I came in. Overall, the surgery center was unprofessional, unsanitary, and unacceptable. If you are reading this before having a procedure, I urge you to go somewhere else.

If you are reading this, I highly recommend to you, DO NOT go to this place. I had a procedure…read morehere on Friday 6/20/2025 and I wish I read the reviews ahead of time (and I will own half of that responsibility). The prep room is the dirtiest I have ever seen at a medical facility. One of the medical techs (or nurse) asked me to take off all my clothes and I was asked to sit on an old blue reclining chair that did not appear sterile with only a gown exposed where my rear is exposed to this old reclining chair. I was barefoot on this dirty floor and the medical tech/nurse reluctantly gave me disposable booties I asked for more than once. She then disappeared never to see her again. After waiting in this chair for around 45 minutes, I was then asked by the anesthesiologist to walk to the operating table, which I struggled to get on. Then I was knocked out with the anesthesia. The procedure was complete and I don't remember much other than feeling rushed to my ride to take me home. When I got home, I noticed I had these red bumps all over my forehead and under my eyes. I made a point to clean myself as much as I can. These red bumps got worse over the weekend and by Monday 6/23/2025 I had a 102 degree fever and nasty cough with phlegm. I called my doctor and he prescribed antibiotics. By Tuesday 6/24/2025 I started to feel an itchy/burning sensation all over my nose and lips. I found out that these are cold sores all over my face (something I have not experienced before). I suspect I got these from the recliner or the pillow in the operating room (that appeared reused). I consulted with my primary care doctor and prescribed Acyclovir. The lack of sanitation and lack of competent medical techs/nurses that were too busy gossiping about their other coworkers (yes, I and other patients heard everything in the prep room) will eventually cause someone serious injury (or worse) some day. It is just a matter of time unless this facility get their act together (I have my doubts this will happen based on the other reviews I read). Please, DO NOT go here (Premier Surgery Center in Concord). Do your research, read the other reviews and do your due diligence (something I did not due). I recommend having your surgical procedure at a hospital where they appear to still have some rules in safety and sanitation/sterile environments.

Walking down the hall there seemed to be no apparent air of strictness though my appearance seemed to have caused a couple individuals to be taken back just a little bit. Checking in was met with mutual understanding, and getting situated on my hospital bed with IV insertion was no real problem and I did appreciate that the IV needle was a real flexible one, unlike the one at North Bay hospital ER in Fairfield where it was a lot more firmly pliable as bending my arm with that hurt a lot. Lady nurse whom I spoke with before my procedure initially came off to me as overobservant and tightly commanding, but in just a short amount of time, that tapered off and I guess the real her came out (maybe it was just a show for the other staff present). Once my procedure had been completed, all my mistakes that I made for preparation were addressed to me in an assertive manner and not overbearingly scolding. All in all, much better psychological atmosphere than North Bay in Fairfield as well as the staff there are more colder and disconnected and seem to say whatever to sort of have you vacate the premises ASAP. Though I did hear some bad things about folk here in Walnut Creek, this was kind of the irony in a good way.

For a long time, I wasn't feeling like myself -- constant sadness, low energy, painful periods, and so many other symptoms that were affecting my quality of life. My doctor at Kaiser suggested it was depression, but something inside me kept telling me there was more to it. I started doing my own research and learned about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I didn't know MSPA offered it until they sent me an invitation last October. I made an appointment right away. From the very first visit, the staff made me feel heard and comfortable. They were kind, patient, and took the time to walk me through everything -- what the treatment involved, what to expect, and why it might help. They sent me to Quest Diagnostics for bloodwork to check my hormone levels, and after reviewing the results, we moved forward with the procedure. It was quick -- about 10 minutes -- and the only discomfort was a brief sting from the anesthesia. Within the first month, I noticed a remarkable difference. For the first time in my life, I had my period with NO cramps. I felt happy -- genuinely happy. It's hard to describe, but it's like I finally wanted to live again. Six months in, and there is no going back. This has been a life-changing experience. It turns out it wasn't depression or me "feeling crazy" -- it was my hormones. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff -- Stacey, Brittany, and Hailey -- as well as the friendly and welcoming team at the front desk. You are all truly appreciated -- every single one of you. From the moment I walked in, you made me feel welcome, cared for, and never rushed. Your warmth and professionalism made a huge difference in my experience, and I am truly grateful for each of you. I can't recommend this team enough.

Kristina and Melissa have been there since the beginning and have created an environment that feels welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. In an industry where businesses and staff can change frequently, it's refreshing to find a place that has maintained such consistent quality and customer care for so many years. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime client like me, you'll be in great hands. M Spa has earned my loyalty for more than a decade, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a great spa experience.

Mom was happy and son was happy. So, here it goes.... I had already seen another surgeon, but didn't get good vibes on that one and decided to get a second opinion. At a CPR course with other doctors, I asked if anyone knew a surgeon with good clinical skills that does hernia repairs. Her name came up, so among surgeons, she is a known quantity. When we went in for our consultation, there was very minimal wait at Epic Care (we all know how long medical offices can make you wait for appointments). The staff was polite and professional as was Doctor Kwan at our initial appointment. Dr. Kwan has great bedside manners-great communication skills! She explained everything to us and our son. Her surgical/financial coordinator was easy to get a hold of to make arrangements for scheduling and finances. On the day of the surgery, we went to their Aspen surgical facilty located right next door to John Muir. The nurses and anesthesiologist were super friendly and helpful to us parents and very accommodating to our son. After the surgery, the nurses made sure our son was as comfortable as possible. Over the recovering week, the nurses called our home and sent our son a get well card personally signed by the staff which I thought was a nice touch. Thank you Dr. Kwan for being so nice to our son and taking great care of him. I definitely recommend Dr. Kwan at Epic Care to anyone needing abdominal surgery!

She performed surgery in October 2025, but I received no post-op communication from Dr. Kwan. I had to proactively call with concerns when the bulge remained. At my follow-up, the issue was still present, and a CT scan later confirmed the hernia had not been repaired. Dr. Kwan then admitted she had repaired a different hernia during surgery and missed the one that was originally diagnosed and causing my symptoms. I was never informed before or after surgery that the correct hernia had not been addressed or that a new/different one was present. I only learned this weeks later after raising concerns myself. This experience was extremely concerning and disappointing, both in terms of the surgical error, lack of communication, and now the need for repeat surgery.

I went in for a consult which was quick but the most eye opening one that I've had in my life. I've been trying to solve for this issue for many years as an adult and have always felt like I've gotten the run around. Not Dr. Ford. He did a scope and let me know what was wrong and what my options were. I chose surgery. After the consult, I worked with Barb, who was great help in answering my billing questions and just general questions of what the surgery and recovery would be like. She was just a pleasure to work with. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Ford checked in with me before and explained what would happen and answered my questions. The procedure was quick and efficient and everything went great. 6 days after my surgery, I went to his Walnut Creek office and had the stints removed. Again, another quick appointment and he answered all of my remaining recovery questions. I would highly recommend him for any ENT issues and let everyone know how patient and kind he and his office are.
