Feb 9 2026 1 PM I still appreciate this Kaiser so much over…read morethe Richmond Kaiser. It is worth the $8 bridge toll. Vallejo Kaiser is clean and bright. Pleasant enough parking here. We are here for Opthalmology today. The only negative is the drive and blather that echoes in the hallways. I'd hate to be in a theater with these folks. Turn up your volume and listen in.

I woke up at 4:00 am & I'm laying here at my dad's, piecing together the events of a 5 hour wait at…read moreER w my dad. I'd left my dad. They are keeping him overnight. I felt pain &heaviness at a wound site & it had been bothering me for the time we waited. .My dad is gaunt, dehydrated among other things and two home health nurses were visiting when they suggested he go to ER right away.At some point I was seated more than once when he finally got to the section of the hospital where he got a CT Scan &one other time for X-rays.There was the time when he was in triage &they checked him over. I believe as I sat down at one of these stations a woman quickly reached beside me &grabbed something from the seat I was sitting in.I said what was that? Her reply was "just a ..."no words followed.i lay her feeling like I've gotten stuck with a needle &what I feel just under my skin is a needle broken off.I tried to take a photo.I flew as fast as I could because a case worker called me where I live in Northern AZ and told me "you need to get here & take care of your dad. He needs help.He has dementia you know?" I later found this same case worker has had other complaints. I spoke to her later & I had several Messages in to her &she told me to call member services. the run around began. It was impossible to get a live person. Very few people that we encountered while at the hospital seemed to enjoy their job. At first all of the different perfumes, colognes and other smells became a little overwhelming. I thought of all the 20-30 people waiting in the lobby, sleeping across the chairs, and looking land my own father that was having breathing issues and how uncomfortable that could be to smell when you arrive at ER and have to smell during a 5 hour wait. We were told he would get the first available bed in ER & when I finally asked because my dads heartbeat dropped lower than the bone health nurse said is safe, I was told he had three people ahead of him. Okay busy day/night and I tried to flirt, be friendly, compliment and lighten the environment. There were a bunch of Annoyed, seemingly angry people working there. I really wish I could see the site where I got poked because it feels wierd and that whole area on my thigh/hip feels odd and painful. I believe we finally got back to an ER bed when I was stuck. The ER area with the proverbial clothe dividers for privacy smelled badly of urine. My dad joked "I don't think it was me but I don't know". It was not him. There was a red trash bin inside works and it stink I'm Assuming. Back to the lobby there was a non operable restroom at one end where we waited each time we were brought back. There were some small boxes of tissues and my dad was drilling as he'd had a stroke a few days before I got here from AZ. I looked for more tissues and there was only one empty box. One very kind employee that wheeled my dad back from x-ray got me two warm blankets with a smile when requested. But no tissues, no restroom and I later learned there was no cafeteria open when I looked around 5. The best part besides someone trying to scoop up a needle I sat on, the Dr Jaqueline Pels walks in and asked "why are you here" imagine condescending tone. My dad tried to explain and I added some reasons, and she continued in a condescending tone "that's not what I have in my chart" she might've thrown her hand on her hips with a little head bob to match the tone of her voice and shitty attitude. Then she proceeded to say " you walk fine " he's been so weak and had already fallen before I got here and the two home health nurses witnessed him falling again when he tried to sit up out of bed to get dressed at home. She said to me how did he get here ? I said a wheel chair. Did he come in a car? How did he get to the car ? We had a home health nurse holding him by his belt and a walker from his place. She made it sound like he shouldn't be there. She asked if he was following his "diet". I guess the one after release after the stroke 6 days ago. ?? She asked me if I'm adding thickeners to his food? I said I just got here Sat after a social worker named Ebony called me in N AZ on & said you need to get here to take care of your dad because he has dementia with no worry that he'd just had a stroke and walked out of his apt while on the phone with me to leave him alone! My dad is sharp &'doesn't have dementia. I animatedly said while she stood by his bed "whatever we are doing here I'm not liking it!" She immediately got even more ugly and said we don't have to give him care or something to that effect. I was going to switch with his friend and his friend had left and a security guard escorts you everywhere with one more reason to wait. His friend came back because I have no car here. I can't see my accidental injection site and it's hurting more with each minuteI. I think I sat on a needle. Vallejo ER is a night mare! To be cont.

Dr. Jacquie and Dr. Lim are my dentist for many years. They are professionAl with great knowledge…read morewith what they do. they are also very caring. Great dentists!

This review is solely about the receptionist. I decided to re-establish myself at Glen Cove Dental…read more Mind you I've been coming here off and on since high school (I'm now 41). I was also made aware that Dr. Jackie does ortho treatment and decided to schedule an appointment. Made the appointment for a cleaning and ortho consultation. On the day of my appointment I arrived on time. Everything seemed to be going smooth until I gave the receptionist my address. I was then interrogated with questions like "Why are you coming here" and "Why did you come back". There was no thank you for returning or we appreciate you being a loyal patient. Almost felt condemned about my choice to return. It caught me off guard but I explained how I liked Dr Jackie and how I really felt comfortable with her service. The receptionist kind of just stared and said "oh ok". I get to the back and I thought I was taking regular X-rays and I was told the images were for the ortho consult. I apologized for the confusion and explained that I moved forward with another Dr. for ortho and just needed the cleaning done. I also explained during a confirmation call that I no longer needed the ortho treatment just the cleaning. The hygienist returned with the receptionist and she said "I'm confused on why you're here". I explained again for cleaning services. She said "well you went to all these places how do we know if your insurance will cover the X-ray". I explained to her those Xrays were done by orthodontist and that's just a panel view not a dental X-ray and I paid for that out of pocket. She went on and on about my last dentist and you went to so many prior dentist and I don't understand why you're here. At that moment I didn't know why I was there allowing her to speak to me like a child. I said "can you call met life and see when the last submission for X-rays was". She said no and gave an exhausted explanation about her having to call my prior dentist. Mind you I went to one orthodontist who I moved forward with treatment with and my prior dentist who I mistaken my last appointment date. After I left I called met life to confirm all service submissions and come to find out I was actually seen the end of last year so none of my money was used nor has anyone submitted anything for payment. I'm sure the receptionist could've done that. Anyway, I told her I would reschedule and just her lack of professionalism threw me off. Does it matter if I drove from Brentwood? All you need to know is I like Dr Jackie and it's not coming out of your pocket. I sat in my car for five minutes going over in my head if I should walk away or stay and deal with the rude receptionist because I like Dr. Jackie's work. Just knowing I would have to deal with the receptionist made me walk back in thank her and told her I'll just keep my previous Dr. It was no "let me change your mind" no "how can we keep you as a patient". She has the nerve to wink and said okay. No care in the world. Wasted gas, toll and time. Worst part is I lost a great dentist like Dr.Jackie.
