We started with Comprehensive Wellness in 2018 and are so glad we did. Highly recommended. Our primary care physician is Dr. Rebecca Parish, and we think she is terrific. Very responsive to calls/texts/emails, even on weekends. We have limited interaction with the other doctors here, but they seemed equally good. And the support staff is top-notch, with a first-rate nursing team and office administrators. When a referral is appropriate, they are knowledgeable about the experts in the area and can give first rate recommendations (e.g., cardiology, dermatology, EN&T, etc.), and they follow up with them. To give one example of the pro-active and thoughtful actions of this office, when the first Covid vaccines were available in 2020, they organized a "drive-through" for injections in the Lafayette school parking lot for patients and others in the community. It was a huge undertaking but an incredible success, and I am sure that many were able to avoid the consequences of this terrible disease. read more

I joined Comprehensive Wellness seven years ago. It was one of the best health decisions I have ever made. When I first joined, I was four years post menopausal and struggling with issues that kept me from being active. My doctor gave me referrals to excellent specialists who helped with specific issues. This is actual Health Care. Caring for the patient not the conglomerate. Amazing, caring, proactive, and responsive Doctor, caring and responsive staff. Super quick text and app responses to any questions or needs for appointments, and when they see you, they take their time with you. They are not required to see a specific number of patients in an hour so you get more than the conglomerate 10 minutes and a lot more thorough examinations and true care and follow up. Comprehensive Wellness and Dr Parish are the absolute opposite of the lack of care and response from the big health organizations' doctors offices - the John Muir specialists I need sometimes are booked many months to a year out and you only get 5 to 10 minutes with them because they are required to see so many patients per day. I first came to know Comprehensive Wellness when they cared for my elderly parents. After seeing how they work, I signed myself up! CW is a combination of how healthcare used to be (a doctor and office who knew you and your family, who always fit you in and took the time to truly understand what was happening with your health) and all that healthcare can be (utilizing cutting edge technology, the best research-based care, convenience for the patient, access to care from anywhere). When I call this office, they pick up the phone immediately or I receive a call back within minutes. I've never had to wait more than an hour or two to hear back live from my doctor! I feel as if Comprehensive Wellness has personalized health care for me, and that they are my partner...an "owner" of all my various specialists' feedback/findings, viewing the whole picture, even a complicated and complex picture like mine, including nerodegenerative disease and autoimmune disease. This place took down my original review, as they could not handle the truth. I had to pay over $600.00 upfront, (also I had to use a credit card just to make the appointment). This was for a full one hour consult and exam, by a certain doctor. The doctor was very late and extremely rude, and the consult lasted far less than the one hour I paid for. I am absolutely appalled at how this woman gets away with her deplorable actions. I think she forgot her doctor's oath. For shame! And shame to the management that allows this to happen. read more

I made an appointment for a tattoo removal consultation over the phone which was really easy. when I came in the front desk was really nice and had me fill out a quick form. While I waited a few of the staff coming in said hi and offered me a drink. Dr Hilliard was great. She explained the procedure, how many treatments are realistic for me, and how the treatments would heal. The prices are affordable for how often you come back. I really feel like Dr. Hilliard cares about her patients. I'm looking forward to coming back for my next appointment. read more

This is not a review of my daughter's medical care but a review of the office. She was unaware that she needed to pay for the visit upfront ($300) at the time of service. Since she is a teenager, she does not carry a credit card. No one from the office told her about the upfront payment ahead of time. The office personnel were not going to let her leave until I drove to the office to give them payment. They are a John Muir provider but will only bill after the fact. Subsequent conversations with their office were threatening. This message is to let readers know that YOU HAVE TO PAY 100 percent of the bill UPFRONT and then rely upon the office staff to submit paperwork for a tbd amount of reimbursement. read more

I am leaving this establishment with a 1 Star because I called to make an appointment and was told that they are out of my insurance network before I gave any insurance information. I asked if they are in network with any insurance provider and she stated no. I was told that the visits needed to be paid in full and as a courtesy they would bill my insurance company and they (my insurance) would then pay a percentage for an out of network visit. I asked how much a visit was and she said $500 for the first visit. Initially I thought what a smart idea to basically have a Kaiser type establishment but with private insurance. That is not the case and I am disappointed in that. I had received a "free" consultation from the Lafayette Arts and Wine festival booth promoting their establishment for a skin consultation that I now will not even consider using. To me these physicians are not there to serve their community they are there to serve their pockets with such services. read more

This was the worst, most unprofessional medical experience I have ever encountered. The doctor performed a number of tests within the office and informed me at the end of the visit payment in full was required at the time of service. I received a letter 4 months after my appointment that they were experiencing billing "challenges". Regardless, I made a personal visit to ask about my insurance claim and several phone calls none of which were returned. Dr Parish makes sure to give each patient individualized care, she was available to me on the weekend when I needed her most and she spent a lot of time with me during my appointment. I have been a patient of hers since 2009 and moved with her to Comprehensive Wellness and I'm so glad I stuck with her. This practice is amazing. One of the staff, Peter, was incredibly helpful and kind during my last appointment and went out of his way to make me feel better. Very shady place. I was told Office Visit would cost $150 but was charged $300. Initially thought it was just a mistake but later learned that this is fraudulent business. Stay away unless you want to get ripped off. I had an office visit with Dr. Nancy Rolnik on November 16, 2017. When I called into the Comprehensive Wellness office to schedule my appointment, I was told that Comprehensive Wellness did not accept insurance so I would have to pay for my office visit upfront and then Comprehensive Insurance would directly bill my insurance company. I was told my initial appointment would cost $150.00. While I would have preferred not having to pay the entire $150 upfront, I agreed to these terms. After my recent appointment with Dr. Rolnik was completed, I gave the Receptionist my Visa Card to pay the $150 that we had agreed to. I asked the receptionist for a receipt of my payment and she said that they could only email me the receipt. I then asked for a copy of the bill that they would be submitting to my insurance company but was told it was not yet available. The receptionist told me that Dr. Rolnik had not completed the paperwork yet to submit the bill. Later in the day, I checked my email and discovered that I had been charged $300, not the $150 that they had told me. I called in immediately and spoke with Katelyn to inform her that they must have made a mistake on my bill as I was told I would be charged $150, not $300. Katelyn told me that she would have to check with Dr. Rolnik about this and she would call me back. Katelyn called me back later in the day and left me a voicemail informing me that the $300 that they charged me was correct because Dr. Rolnik said she spent more time with me than she initially anticipated. Neither Dr. Rolnik or anyone else in her office informed me that I was being charged $300, not the $150 that I had been told. I called back later in the day and was hung up on. So, I have paid Comprehensive Wellness $300 upfront but I have no bill to submit to my insurance company and have no idea what bill they are submitting. I have left a message a Amy, who is supposedly the Office Manager, but she has not returned my call. The $300 Charge was not a mistake, this appears to be their normal billing practice. Tell the patient one thing upfront and then charge anything you want. read more

I reached out to Comprehensive Wellness because my husband and I were new to the area and we needed our annual physicals for the year. We were a little apprehensive about this new model of care- paying out of pocket for the office visit but in return having 24/7 access to the doctor, but several weeks after our annual exams I started having heart palpitations and chest pain out of the blue. I texted Dr Parish and she was able to see me within the hour for an EKG. She also ordered bloodwork and a chest X-ray STAT and got the results that night. She was able to diagnose and resolve the problem, as well as keep in touch with me the whole time "real time" over text. She was very available and thorough. Looking back I'm glad my primary care doctor who knows my medical history was able to coordinate my care, rather then going to urgent care and being treated by multiple different doctors who may not have made the right call without knowing me so well as a patient. I've been very happy with the quality and thoroughness of care, as well as the availability of Dr Parish and her caring and honest bedside manner. I highly recommend her practice for primary care. read more
