The tech showed up on time with all the appropriate tools. He was very respectful and friendly. You could tell that he had a ton of experience with various potential hiccups that come up with this type of job and made some really good recommendations about placement etc. He was in and out in about 30 min and everything looks and works amazing. If you need a large TV (or 2) hung the right way, don't want to worry about them falling, damaging your walls, or you are like me and value having someone do something in 30 min that would have taken me all day, several f-bombs and potentially a divorce, definitely call Tech Next Door. When I called to cancel in May, because I was moving, they attempted to bill me $41 for an additional month of service I didn't want and did not receive. But they have spent the past six weeks or so trying to extort $41 from me - money I do not owe them! They have informed me today they have sent this to "collections"......over $41 I do not owe them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THE SERVICE WAS MEDIOCRE, AND IN FACT THEY MOSTLY DID A POOR JOB! In 2019 I bought a doorbell camera from them and paid to have it installed by them, only for it to stop working a few years later because the y partnered with a different company, necessitating an entire replacement!!! GUARDIAN IS HORRIBLE!!

He is personable and professional and remembered facts about me from 2 years ago. Who does that? No contracts. Just a flat fee a month and I did not even have to purchase equipment. I was reminded of the care he took in installing so as not to cause permanent damage to the property. He was so quick. Worst experience I've ever had with such a company…read more I contacted Prodigy earlier this year to have a TV installed on my back patio. The salesperson came out, we walked through the space, talked about options and he promptly followed up with pricing. It was more expensive than I planned but decided to move forward. Things started to go down hill after that. Installation was scheduled and 2 installers came out. They were here for 8+ hours and towards the end of the install could not figure out how to get the TV to work with the receiver. For clarity - it's an outdoor TV, paired with Apple TV, connected to a receiver - pretty standard stuff for a AV company. There were no complications such as a home automation system, long cable runs etc. Simply a TV outside. It took 2 days for them to send another tech out to figure out why the sound wasn't playing through the outdoor speakers. It's been over 3 months and we've still not resolved the issue. After speaking with the sales rep - it appears they chose to use a new piece of technology to route the signals that they've never tested and turns out it's not compatible with the TV they recommended. Oh, the TV - they recommended a Sunbrite partial shade TV. I can't see a thing on the TV until it's evening time. I've reached out to the salesperson and he's apparently looped in ownership and I've been told - sorry but nothing we can do. They sold me technology that doesn't work together, a TV that is useless during the day and they have taken MONTHS to respond to my questions. Horrible service. Just absolutely terrible. You can't claim to be AV professionals and then sell products you've not validated to work for the clients needs and you should stand behind your work instead of saying "sorry, nothing we can do". I strongly recommend you use other providers

Their cost for monitoring is well above the norm for this area. Nothing on my $$$ keypad told me any of my smoke detectors were not working so when my fire alarm recently went off and my downstairs filled with smoke, I'm scrambling with my phone to call the monitoring station only to get re-routed to voicemail because it was after hours.
