I signed up with SecureSafe Home Solutions expecting, you know, security. But it's been a wild ride, and not the fun kind. The technician arrived on time--Tuesday, I think, or maybe Wednesday? Anyway, he was nice, but spent three hours setting up the system, only for the keypad to start beeping randomly at 2 a.m. for no reason. The app is supposed to let you control everything, but it's like navigating a maze with pop-up ads. One button arms the system, another disarms it, and a third just... opens the help menu? I'm still not sure. The cameras are decent, I guess, but I keep getting notifications about "motion detected" when it's just my neighbor's dog or, once, a plastic bag blowing by. I called support about it, and they were super polite, but the fix they suggested--rebooting the router--did nothing except make my Wi-Fi drop. Also, the billing is a mystery. My first month was $49.99, then it jumped to $62.17 with no explanation. I asked for a breakdown, and they sent me a 12-page PDF that might as well be in ancient hieroglyphs. It's not all bad--the door sensors work, mostly. But do I feel safer? Hard to say when I'm up at night decoding error codes like I'm in a spy movie. I paid Jared money for some cameras and he never returned, took my money. He has not been responding to me but he will pick up if the number is private. It's been a nightmare dealing with him. All I wanted was for security camera's and a system set up and working. He does not have a contractors license or insurance so I haven't been able to go through those avenues but I've filed a police report for fraud and currently going through small claims. STAY AWAY from Jared Crawford. Edit to my review: Jared responded "guess I can't make everyone happy." - He literally stole my money. Who would be happy? Beware! Jared, recommended and installed a camera system at my home. He never completed job! He scheduled appointments and never showed. He has a poor work ethics and working knowledge of the security systems he recommended and installed at my home. He would make misleading statements about the capabilities of the system. We bought a monitor (TV) ahead of time and when he was installing our monitor he brought us a wall mount for the TV! We forgot all about getting a mount! I hired Jared and CCTV Xpress after getting separate bids thru yelp. His was in the middle of the bid range, not the highest and not lowest but the bid price combined with his reviews made him seem like a good fit so we talked on the phone about my project, needs and requirement and scheduled an appointment. On the appointment day, he showed up on time and ready to work. We walked around the house pointing to where all the cameras should go and then he went straight to work. He was surprised at how small the attic was and how much insulation was in there, nevertheless, he remained true to what he quoted and stuck to the price, so we added a little extra as a tip when he was done. He worked for several hours and once he was done everything seened great. I noticed that one camera was further away from where I pointed and I had a concern it wouldn't work, however, he asked that I try it out and if it doesn't work to give him a call and he'll move it. It turned out that the location didn't work (too much IR reflection), however he remained true to his word and came back a few weeks later to correct it. Overall a great company that I'd recommend. I also learned from this installation. While we discussed everything on the phone, I did not follow up with a text message or email covering everything that was to be done. As a result there was some confusion as to what was included, however Jared solved it in the most amicable and least confrontational way possible. Things happen, miscommunications happen, but the way he handled it left a good impression. So much so that I've already recommended him. read more
