I had knee pain consistently for years and mentioned it every time I went in. I asked about it specifically and was always told "Well, you are getting older" *wink wink*. I was in my 30s. He never recommended any treatment. All he had to do is write me a referral. Now it turns out that I've developed a baker's cyst on the back of my knee which is indicative of injury or repetitive wear and tear. Might require surgery. He was also hesitant about the Covid vaccine. I have now found a doc who believes me and orders tests when I'm concerned.

I went in first for a simple meet and great meeting after my last primary doctor retired of 22 years. Difficult to say at least. This Dr experience immediately felt cold and non-empathetic. The Dr literally just asked questions and typed on his computer. When I tried to expand on my health and explain/talk further during each question I was cut off and told to just answer his questions the way he needed to type them. It got to the point where I got somewhat frustrated that I couldn't even explain/express the things I needed to express health wise. Hard to explain but he came off as a serious non-empathetic person! To make matters worse, The Doctor literally said half way through the meeting "maybe this isn't the right fit for you if your looking for a different type of doctor experience." Since my wife was also a new patient recently and saw him weeks earlier,I thought maybe I was being too sensitive on my first visit as I stupidly decided to go back a few weeks later for my yearly physical. I don't wanna speak for her but she said something on the lines as not great, just OK,but it's a doctor, what are you expecting. My wife is dry like that with no expectations. Just get yr health check etc and not put to much value in it. So I ignored my own gut instincts and scheduled and showed up again for my physical and got my vitals & physicals checked, (it was rushed), we than proceeded to discuss my health again as a sit down and it was the same cold conversational style experience like last time. He wrote up a prescription for blood tests and said I'll see you soon. As I walked out I noticed that he immediately got on his exercise bike in his office and started riding. Cold as hell if you ask me. I never did complete my full physical with him as I never went back. I have since found a new DR that seems to care more about me and my overall health. One that treats the "whole person". This is an important statement in today's medical model. Its shouldn't be just about diagnosis and treatment. We are all humans and process things differently. Oh by my the way Doctor, I personally have a PsyD in clinical psychology and I gotta say your either too inexperienced professionally or you really don't care one sense about your clients needs. In conclusion, I just received a bill for $160 for the 10 minute meet & greet visit. Not even the physical that was covered at 100%. Do I need to say anything else. What a sad world this doctor lives in.

Luxer appeared to be a different kind of service from standard urgent care practices because it…read moreseemed to offer things like care coordination, chronic care, mental health, weight loss, etc. My LO went in for labs and X-rays pre-op for a specialized orthopedic surgeon out of state. They handled it with amazing efficiency and very little administrative friction. The tests they ran were accepted and he received the operation successfully. Upon returning home realized he needed PT and home healthcare. He called to see if they could help him arrange for that, along with some follow up labs. They turned him away. The person on the phone said, if he wanted that kind of service he'd need to sign up for their concierge program. With the exception of the surgery he needed, the patient is healthy and historically has not needed frequent visits to the doctor. But now he's going to need to establish a relationship with a GP or something, even though Luxer initially appeared to be a very convenient solution for people like him, who aren't at the doctor's office a lot.

He was very friendly and said I wouldn't even need to have my ticket validated. He would remember me. It was a very l-o-n-g walk to the hotel! Rolando, a Technician with 25 years experience, guided me through the Imaging procedure, explaining each step in the process. He was friendly, professional, and very competent. We even discussed our impressions of the ongoing World Cup Soccer competition. I was impressed!

I had been quite sick for several days when I finally went to Westlake Urgent Care and saw Dr. Sonia. She took cultures from my mouth/throat and a sample for a gastrointestinal panel and explained that the results could take a few days. I understood that and was willing to wait. The problem was that I never heard back from the office. After several days, I called and was told the results were still pending. I waited longer, but again, no one contacted me and I received no message or call from Dr. Sonia. Then, on 06/27/26, my pharmacy notified me that I had a prescription ready. I was surprised because I had not been told what my test results showed or why I was being prescribed medication. I picked up the prescription, which was Keflex, and called the office for an explanation. I was told Dr. Sonia wasn't there, so I was left without any real answers. I recently received two separate invoices from two different labs totaling nearly $300 for testing that I never received any results for. I called the office again and was eventually told by someone other than the doctor that I had tested positive for Klebsiella pneumoniae. I then had to research it myself to understand what it was and what it meant, because no one at the office took the time to explain the results or answer my questions. I told him it was upsetting that I was never called. He said that they tried calling me. This is not true since I have no messages or missed calls from them and I was waiting for them to call cell phone is with me 100% of the time. What disappoints me most is not simply the testing or the prescription. It is the lack of communication. When a patient is sick and waiting for test results, I believe they deserve to know what was found, what the treatment is for, and what the next steps should be. I should not have had to learn about my diagnosis from a random person on the other end of the phone a month later and then research it myself. After many years of going to this office, it is sad to say that I will not be returning. There are other urgent care options in the same neighborhood, and I feel I need to find a practice where communication and follow-up are given more attention. I sincerely hope Dr. Sonia and the office take this feedback to heart. I am not writing this review to be mean or unfair. I am writing it because I was genuinely disappointed, and I would have expected better communication from a medical office I had trusted for many years.

I was not charged a lab fee as others had mentioned, but I did have insurance and uploaded my insurance info before booked appt. Received results within 1.5 hours via e-mail. Whew, I got the results and could board my flight... ! I went to the Beverly Hills Clinic on a weekday at 10 am. There is metered parking outside the medical building. When I entered, there was only one person working there and no one waiting. I was in and out within 5 minutes. I am impressed & definitely recommend.
