Followed instructions today 1/24/26, as directed, when I picked up the sample kit. No one came to the counter for 10 minutes so I left the sample. Who knows if it will be tested. I'll wait and see. Service is non-existent. Just to get the sample collection kit took 45 minutes. To drop it off, I went to three offices that said they were open before I found one that WAS open. The line was out the door and they closed in an hour so even if I stuck around I would not have been assisted. It's like the staff know this is a problem and they want us to complain as they feel they are an insignificant cog in a wheel. read more

I am emailing you because I have yet to receive my feedback email from yesterday's blood draw. I am very happy to share that Maryln was my Phlebotomist and she is superb. With all my heart, the only redeeming aspect of my recent Quest Customer satisfaction experience is Marlyn. Upon arrival, the fact that both self check-in kiosks had broken scanners, was par for the irritating course at Quest diagnostics. How is it possible that a company as big as Quest can't afford to repair their kiosks? Fortunately, after my second attempt, I realized something was awry. Then, lo and behold I saw the bent back, dog eared old piece of paper with the notice that the scanner is not working, "choose don't accept scan as the option." That was easy. I sat and watched one human being after another fumble with those damn kiosks until I decided to start letting everyone know. Hey, the scanner is not working I wasn't a happy patient-camper, but Marlyn turned it all around and here's why: Due to the fact that I did not receive a confirmation text I went from memory, and thought my appointment was at 1:20 PM when in reality it was 3:20 PM. Once I realize that I asked Marlyn if it would be better for me to come back or would they be able to fit me in. She assured me that she would fit me in. Once called and seated, my blood work order was inaccessible on the Quest diagnostic system! My BP started to rise, thank God I took a screenshot of my PCP email because I was able to attach that to a fresh email and send it directly to the location. How is it possible that my blood work order was not Accessible on the Quest network? How does Quest stay in business? Marlyne Was undaunted and would not give up and by the grace of God my email went through. Marlyn not only kept her composure throughout this stressful unpleasant moment but her kind demeanor, patience and professionalism assuaged my irritation. Marlyn so skillfully drew my blood I barely felt any pinprick whatsoever. Marlyn is an invaluable asset to Quest. I normally don't write reviews like this, but my experience this morning was so upsetting that I feel it's important to share... both because of how badly things began, and because of how well management later handled it. I arrived early, before the location even opened, so I could check in quickly and avoid a crowded waiting room. When the staff member finally arrived to open the door (several minutes late), I checked in at the kiosk as a walk-in and immediately made an ADA accommodation request to her. I have a disability that makes long waits in loud, overstimulating environments extremely difficult. Under federal ADA law, medical facilities must provide reasonable accommodations and engage in an "interactive process," which means they must ask what the patient needs and offer options. Unfortunately, the employee I interacted with did none of that. I think her name was Yessenia or Jessenia or Gisenia, I don't remember. She simply told me to "just check in." After waiting 40 minutes with no follow-up, I asked her again about my ADA request. She told me I still had to "wait like everyone else because I didn't have an appointment" which is not how ADA accommodations work. ADA protections apply to walk-ins too, and in many cases take priority over appointments. She did not ask what accommodation I needed, did not offer alternatives, and her tone was dismissive and unprofessional. At one point I even asked if she understood what ADA accommodations were, and her response did not inspire confidence. I told her I would be reporting this because of how poorly she handled my ADA request. If she had simply been kind, willing to listen, or even admitted she didn't fully understand ADA procedures, none of this would have escalated. This review and the complaint would never have been necessary if she had approached the situation with basic respect and a willingness to help. In total, I was left waiting nearly two hours from arrival to blood draw, despite requesting an accommodation at the beginning. During that time, I could clearly hear her behind the closed door speaking negatively about me after I asked for help. Hearing that, while already overwhelmed and overstimulated, was extremely upsetting. The waiting room was completely packed. I watched over 35 people come and go and the noise and crowding made the situation even harder. I kept trying to regulate myself, hoping someone would follow up on my ADA request, but no one ever did. When I finally called Quest Patient Services myself, they took the situation seriously, documented my complaint, and escalated it immediately. A short time later, the location manager personally called me, apologized sincerely, and let me know she would be coming back to the site to retrain the employee on ADA procedures, patient rights, and communication. I truly appreciated her professionalism and the fact that she acted so quickly. I also want to acknowledge the phlebotomist who ultimately took my blood, I believe her name was Marlene or Marlowe. She apologized to me directly, said this should have never happened, was incredibly kind and understanding, and genuinely helped calm me down after everything that had happened. Her compassion meant so much after such a distressing experience. It honestly made me emotional. A small act of kindness goes a very long way, especially in a medical setting. read more

I had a phlebotomist who hit the radial nerve and sent a pain down to the base of my thumb. My doctor told me it could take 18 months to heal, but that it may never be 100%. I don't have pain but I feel the nerve sensation whenever I lightly touch the wrist and hand. Another time I had a traumatic draw which caused hemolysis of the red blood cells which in turn invalidated the test results and my doctor had to to redraw more blood. read more

She could not find the original order from the doctor for my daughter's blood test so I called the doctor to resend. She said to wait in the waiting room and if it came within the next 10 to 15 minutes, she would do the blood draw. The doctor sent it right away and I was waiting patiently in the waiting room for her to come out. She came out maybe 11 minutes later and told us that we had missed the timeframe and we would have to check in as though we didn't have an appointment and wait a few hours. She was so rude and it seemed like she was actively trying to prevent us from being able to get the blood test that day. I asked her if I could talk to a manager and she said there was no one there so she gave me a business card. I called the number and there is no way to leave a message or talk to anyone . My daughter is incredibly fearful of needles and this just made an already stressful experience too stressful. We left without any blood draw. read more

They're supposed to open at 8, they don't show up till 8:30. It's freezing outside and there's 30 people in line. You can't call them, the recording for all the locations tells you to go to the website. There's no way to contact them. Finally they show up and it takes hours. If you want an appointment it's weeks away. If you're a walk in, prepare to spend the day. Everything is automated, only human contact is when they draw blood. Then out you go. Believe the 2.5 star help rating, DON'T believe the web site when it says that you're checked in, or the fact that your name is on the list on the monitor when you walk in and sit down. I did the web check in from the link texted to me, checked that my name was on the list on the monitor, and went and had a seat. And there I sat for THIRTY THREE MINUTES (from when I sat at 12:15 for my 12:20 appointment, to 12:48) before I got a text message telling me to go have a seat and wait for my name to be called. Maybe a minute later they called my name and took me back. Wasn't a particularly clean draw either (see pic). So frustrated with the general state of medical and the few choices we have - trying to guess which will be the lesser/least awful among poor service experiences. read more

Went in for my blood test and I showed up 15 minutes early. Five minutes after I arrived they took me inside and Sarah found my vein immediately. We were on a standby walk-in list and had to wait for an hour. The Pros: Jasmine Was AMAZING!!! My daughter is a fainter. The phlebotomist was quick and kind. My daughter very nearly passed out and Jasmine knew exactly what to do. She was ready with smelling salts and put cold compresses on my daughter. She treated my kid as though she was her own. The Cons: No early morning appointments for about a month. If you have to fast, forget about an 8am appointment. Overcrowded waiting room with no receptionist. read more

The sign on the door says "Walk Ins Welcome". Don't believe it. The check in kiosk (there is no receptionist) indicated possible wait times of one hour or more. After 1 1/2 hours, I asked someone who came to the door to call the next patient, "how much longer?". She was very curt with me, and said she didn't know and that they were already 40 minutes behind. This was at 11:30 AM. We got up and left. It is becoming increasingly common to use computers to replace people, especially when you call customer service, but in business offices as well. If we had someone to talk to when we arrived, we would have realized that without an appointment, we would have had more than hours of wait time, and would have immediately left. These businesses should realize that by saving a few bucks, by not having a human receptionist, they are taking away our humanity and encouraging people to write negative reviews, like this one. read more

Avoid at all costs. The place does not look very clean and I had a horrible experience today. To begin - The very inexperienced and rude phlebotomist started reprimanding me for arriving 12 minutes before their closing. She strapped the elastic around my arm tighter than what would be required and said "this might hurt a little". Squeezed the vein in my arm so hard after she poked the needle in that there was still an unusual amount of blood coming out of my vein after she was done and it left a big blood stain on the bandage gauze. Her technique was terrible and made the experience very painful. Almost seemed like she was purposely being a menace. And she did not skimp on the non removable tape to secure the gauze. 3 or 4 very large strips of tape squeezed into my arm which were very painful to remove. Highly uncivilized and psychotic behavior. My arm is bruised and red. Never again. read more

I'll start by saying my overall experience was good, nothing to complain about on customer service except the self check in and closed reception window makes the experience impersonal. However all other non-Quest labs are very fast at getting you results, at times I've gotten results from LabCorp the same day. I don't know how or why it's significantly longer at Quest. It seems that they have a lot of unhappy customers across their locations and eventually they're going to start losing business to competitors who are providing fast service and more of a human touch. read more
