I mailed my hard disk to NDR and received feedback on the same day the disk was delivered, they explained in detail what was the problem, how they were going to fix it, and the approx. success rate. After data was recovered I received a list of all the files and was given the choice of using either DVD or a new external HD to store the files. Since I have very few files to recover, they were nice enough to waive the shipping fee! This disk had stopped working for over a year and I've been struggling whether it's worth it to spend a fortune to recover just the few files I really need.
