Beautiful beach. Its small and scenic. Definitely one of my favorite beaches in maui.

The entrance is a walkway between 2 rock walls. There is no official lot and parking will be the handful of unofficial parking spots along the side of the road. From there it will be a very short walk to the beach itself. The main beach is quite small. It was quite crowded when we went around 1pm. It has soft fine sand (with not a lot of rocks or driftwood). There are some shaded areas under the trees which would be a great area to relax or read. It may not be the best location for swimming due to the large rocks. Note that there are no restrooms or lifeguards here.

I only stumbled upon this hidden beach thanks to online research and coming across people parked purposely in a more isolated residential area. It's like your own private cove away from the bigger more populated Makena Beach. We stopped by afterwards on a late afternoon and were literally only 2 of 4 people there. There's limited unofficial side street parking and a random narrow passage way along with ducking underneath trees to access the cove. Most of the shoreline is rocky and surrounded by cliffs. The incoming fast surf water somewhat resembles Makena, without the neck breaking height and strength. It seems like a great place to hold private events, but not much else going for this as a beach. I'd rather stick to the sun, sand and water of Makena.

What's not to love about secluded beaches in Wailea? It is tiny and a bit crowded but it's gorgeous

All the beaches on Maui which we visited were spectacular, but this one was very special. Small, intimate, local. A little tricky to find, but well worth the visit!!

Well, if I know about it, it's not a secret. This was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL place for me to watch the sunrise and sing "I Am Moana" for my Instagram story. I saw crabs and tiny fish, and the ocean view is gorgeous. By the time the sun rose, two other people showed up to get a view. I saw a tent pitched on the rocks, too. Love it!

    Beautiful beach!

This little beach was BEAUTIFUL!! Water was perfect and clear. We got to climb up on the rocks and the water splashed. It was a beautiful sight.

Ohhh how i miss you Secret Beach! Wish we have you here in California. Clear blue water in a tiny secluded beach, south of Big beach called Makena beach. Clothing optional but being naked is mucho better in the water. Party every sunday and the sunset is so romantic, freaking amazing. Sorry no pictures of sunset my phone died at the end of the day. No cellular signal. Take another camera with you if you want to stay all day. I don't have problem with parking. I'm always lucky to find parking anywhere i go.

Although I can't tell you exactly where this beach is... teehee, teehee, hence it being "Secret Beach" and all... know that if you do your research and actually end up finding it, it will be soooooo worth putting in the effort!! I can't go to Maui without spending some time on this pristine, picturesque, and perfect little beach. Many times I've gone and been the only person on the entire beach. I absolutely LOVE it!!

Very pretty beach and indeed private. Clothing is optional and during the week it's not a bad place to try it out if you dare. Watched a sunset here...awesome views. Memorable visit. And if you are on this page you already know about this beach, so you know whats up. Just don't tell everyone so it can stay secluded. But if you haven't been and are reading this...go!

Gorgeous beach! You are able to see Molokini crater from this location and also some whales in the distance. Clear blue water with soft sand. The water is a little rough but worth the view

Tranquil Cove setting! Picturesque. Come at a less congested time for better parking. Shall return.

Originally we…read morewere supposed to stay in Lahaina, but because of the rebuilding of the area, we stayed a little further south. I wish I did stay in the area because the whole area is a vibe. It's a little more touristy with resorts and shopping areas, but once you get on the beach you forget all that. Some of our group was already here and gave us specific instructions on where to park. We parked in a paid parking garage and had to walk between hotels to find the entrance to the beach. This particular stretch is in front of the Sheraton Maui Resort. This beach was awesome! Don't get confused like I did and think this was a black sand beach. Black Rock refers to the giant black lava rock going from the beach into the ocean. It's a very popular cliff diving area. In my opinion, you got to have some athletic ability to do the cliff diving. There's two ways to get to the peak of the rock to jump. There's a path from the shore, but you have to do a little climbing with a very sketch path to the top. The other option is to swim in the ocean towards the end of the rock where you have a little ladder to get you up, but you still have to get to the top of the rock. My friends and I decided to do the swim out which in itself was a challenge. One I got close, I decided to be the photographer in the water for when my friends jumped. We hung out in the water for awhile before swimming back to shore. The beach is perfect for lounging around, with soft white sand and crystal clear water. I brought my snorkel and goggles to really appreciate what's under the sea. We stayed out here way longer than we planned because time flies when you are having fun. On my next trip to Maui, I would totally consider staying right on this beach. I will most definitely be back!

I have seen them crowding the turtles (10 ft distance is the law), standing on the swimming turtles to treat them like surf boards, and even approaching the monk seals or blocking their path back to the water (50+ ft is the law). Enjoy this beach responsibly and respect the beautiful wild life that frequent this beach.

We also had our kids with us so that was a game changer. Parking was easy at the trailhead and there weren't a lot of people here. There is a sign at the beginning honoring a man who died here and asking people not to go in the pools. It is about a 5 minute walk to the cliff where you can first see the pools. If you choose to walk down, it is probably another 10 minutes and the terrain isn't too terrible. The pools are indeed right on the ocean, with water from the ocean splashing into them and then pulling back out. It did not too violent when we were there and there were about 10 people swimming and diving into them, so they must be pretty deep. We stood and watched and took in the view for about 15 minutes and then went on our way.
