The salesman (Chris) is very friendly, not pushy and worked with me with great patience.

I needed a 5000k service, and thought I'd check it out. Troy treated my bike like it was his own, that to me was very important. Their 5000k service included everything from soup to nuts. In other words, more than any dealership. When I got the bill, I told Troy, I asked him if that was correct, as it seemed too low,...as I am an honest person and want to pay my fair share, he said that it was...sold...customer for life! Last winter I left my bike with Troy for another 5,000k service, to have the top end rebuilt, and to install a Ginz sissy bar with brackets and to have the brackets and fender supports powdercoated black. Quite a laundry list of things to do. When the bike was finished, it was mid winter, I told Troy that I wanted to ride it home, he said no problem, come and get it when you want to. There was one day in February when the weather was in the 50's. I told Troy that I wanted to come and pick it up, no problem. I thought that I would have to pay for storage at least while the bike was there, Troy said no. I was very pleased with the job that EVO did, and I could tell that Troy was too, as he told me how everyone in the shop enjoyed looking at the bike when it was finished. As a repeat customer, I want to say that I have been impressed with Troy and the quality service he and his staff at EVO Cycles provide in Derry, NH.

The only way that made sense to buy a bike from National was to buy a new Triumph because they had no fees. Of course they would stop selling new triumphs, because being confined to msrp isn't Nationals style! Pretty sure they bought out Second Wind Triumph too, only to bail on the brand, so they really screwed New England. So now all your options are "premium used" which come with just a 90 day warranty and no test ride, but you will pay absolute top dollar. They've always had "opportunity vehicles" which is basically like buying from a stranger on the side of the road. Very vague details, risky purchase, and yet still above NADA very good used condition prices... riddle me that! But now, they also have "mechanic specials" which must be the Rat Bikes from Road Rash and be absolute nightmares. Then they have "salesmen" who are kinda like Walmart greeters, who openly brag about the "steals" they pay for their inventory. Got it, low ball to get the inventory, charge top dollar for what a "dealer" should be putting on their showroom floor in the first place, with a bunch of junk at your own risk. Buying a motorcycle in NH from places like National, Naults and MOMs is almost enough to just quit riding.

That is not normal or ethical -- they hadn't done any repairs, and I never authorized them to start work. They were basically holding my bike hostage until I paid them. Insurance confirmed that no payment should be made directly to the shop unless work is completed or authorized. This kind of behavior feels shady and unprofessional. A reputable shop should release your vehicle and provide a written estimate without extortion tactics. If you're dealing with an insurance claim, go somewhere else that respects your rights and communicates honestly.

Now it's all about money and their "$2 million shop". I declined an oil change and annual service on my latest repairs so they sent me home with a bike that has an electrical problem I cannot resolve and won't start. They didn't even check if the bike is rideable and just gave it back to me. I'm stuck with dead bike. I know it's their fault because I had this bike in great mechanical condition, in storage. It was brought to them and they flushed the gas tank and now I have a pinched or frayed wire somewhere under the tank that causes my bike to not be able to start. Completely their fault and they wouldn't admit it. They're now doing shady business: They'll tell you they will do an appraisal for $180 and you can pick and choose what you want done/repaired. I chose not to do the power wash. They said that was mandatory because the bike was too dirty? So why was it offered as an optional service initially? Shady, greedy.
