I brought my friend's brand new, fully functional Ice Bear Maddog Gen V scooter to Xtreme Toyz for a basic carburetor install--a service they claimed to be capable of. I entrusted them with this scooter twice (April & June 2025), and both times were an absolute nightmare. Poor communication, negligent work, and alarming safety issues from start to finish. The shop held the scooter for weeks, never called with updates, and I had to show up in person just to get any answers. When I finally picked it up, it ran dangerously--revs spiked, the engine overheated, a part fell off during a test ride, and the choke was removed from the brand-new carb. The mechanic test-rode it aggressively, which caused catastrophic internal damage: the variator and rollers exploded, ripping the oil seal and CVT port, leaving a hole that now leaks oil continuously. The $95 deposit I paid wasn't deducted from the April bill. I was also charged $125 for "3rd-party" delivery--but they delivered it themselves in an Xtreme Toyz van. Upon inspecting the scooter, I found: A drywall screw in the CVT case Missing parts: taillight cover, gold cylinder head, ProBuild throttle cable, stator Oil leaks, stripped bolts, improper screws Throttle cable 25" too long, broken oil catch can, missing taillight cover Chopped-up wiring harness, scratched body, gasket not replaced The scooter was 100% functional before dropping it off. Now it's unsafe, leaking oil, and will require a new engine. I was charged nearly $1,400.00 in labor alone--and told never to return. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

Horrible customer service. We bought our son a dirtbike for Xmas and were told that if it was too much power for him (he's 14) if they would work with us to take it back or swap for something else and they agreed. Now they are acting like that conversation never happened. All they do is lie to get you to buy their products then once you're out the door with the merchandise they don't care. Really nice guys, have gone out of their way to get our moped to us and running smoothly. I would recommend! Easy to deal with, came back to us twice. First time seat wouldn't open and steering was a bit loose. Then we had some dirt in the carb, and bad china spark plug, killed the battery trying to start. Came back again and got us all set - no stalling, clean carb, new spark plug staring right up, new battery cause we killed that one trying to start it with a bad plug. Just easy to deal with. Appreciate their help. If you get a scooter from China, you have to expect issues. But nothing a competent mechanic can't fix. read more

If you are female, don't waste your time here. I came here hoping to buy a scooter. My boyfriend was with me for the purpose of being an extra pair of ears and letting me bounce my thoughts and opinions off of him, he did not have a more significant knowledge of the products than I did. However, despite the fact that I made it clear that I was the buyer and would be paying with my own money, the sales person we talked to paid much more attention to my boyfriend than to me. There were several times when I would ask a question, and the salesman would answer while looking and my boyfriend, not me, despite the fact that I would remain looking directly at the salesman and my boyfriend's eyes would wander around the shop. I felt like I was going crazy trying to make eye contact with this man. To top it off, when we left saying that I would like some time to think before making a purchase, the salesman reached out to shake MY BOYFRIEND's hand, and made NO such gesture toward me. I responded by walking up to him and reaching my hand out to him to shake his hand, baffled by the fact that he was continuing to treat me as if I were not the buyer. We went back a couple days later after buying a scooter at a different location for a cheaper price, because I still needed a helmet and some other accessories. They said they would have price matched me on the scooter (which is something they really should have mentioned during our first visit), but honestly I feel good about not dropping much money there after how I was treated. Even during this visit it was the same thing, I would ask the salesman a question and he would only make eye contact with my boyfriend while answering. I know there's a stereotype of this behavior among car and motorcycle salesmen, but I visited multiple places when shopping and of all of them this one exhibited the most sexism BY FAR. That being said, they were otherwise polite and seemed knowledgeable. I will probably go there for repairs in the future, but will definitely only go alone from now on in attempt to avoid being treated like I was during these last two visits. I sincerely hope they read this review and learn from their mistakes. But in the meantime, just don't come here if you're a woman, it's just not worth it. read more

Every person I've spoke to have been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They provided guidance and advice and have been willing to answer any questions I had about both new machines and my used ones. Do not have work done here I got my moped back when the exhaust was removed the gaskets were tossed and not replaced the aftermarket brand new orange spark plug wire I put in was replaced with a cheaper wire nothing was secured back where it belonged the new cdi they put in was hanging out the bottom I had to take the old one out and mount the new one where it is supposed to be the throttle cable completely came undone when I got home and took it for a ride and they broke a bolt that holds the seat down I'm sure there is more I don't know about yet do not go here not worth it at all would have been better off YouTube tutorials would have been slower but at least I could trust it was done right and with care read more

my son bought a brand new moped for $1200.00 approx. a year ago. a month later its still brand new he paid $800 to have a bigger cc motor from the 50 cc engine he had to make it a 100cc. they said they'll replace the head and it will go faster so instead of 35-40 mph it supposedly will do 50 mph. We had to repeatedly call to check status on bike. when they finally said its all set come and get it. when arriving bike STILL wasnt ready and had to wait over an hour for their half assed limited english speaking hacks they dare call mechanics to finish the repar. while i was loading bike i noticed that not only was a few emblems missing but the plastic cover was broken and cracked in a few places and the kick stand was missing a spring and hanging down. I brought it to their attention and they broke the kick stand and had to give me a used one. after i got it home the motor leaked oil like a seive! I called the manager and explained the issue and he said bring it back and well fix it. I said you guys are the WORST HACKERS ive EVER dealt with! Im going to bring it to a real mechanic not some half assed neighbors who listen to music all day trashing customers machines that they paid hard earned money for. I said i wouldnt let you guys touch this bike EVER AGAIN!!! BEWARE of these ripp off artists stay away and go to a reputable business or youll end up like i did and have to go somewhere else and pay to have it fixed CORRECTLY!! read more

I don't know where to begin,it's been 3 years since I bought from them. And I regret every time I buy from them. They always sell me the wrong part. They lie about sizes to get a sale because they do not do refunds. 3 years I bought a bike from them for 650 dollars now they selling they same bike for 1000, I bought a 110 Tao for 880 now they want 1100. In Oct-2016 we brought our TAO TAO ATM50-A1 moped to XTreme Toyz in Dracut as they were closing at 6 pm. By 10:00 am we had a diagnosis. The required repairs, and other maintenance, were completed in less than 24 hours! Excellent service and very professional. Close friend of mine gave me an extra atv as his younger daughter out grew it and he thought it would be nice for my daughter to have however he told me the wiring would need to be fixed this was around October 20th 2020 that I dropped it off to some clown working. I know I'm late on this post but I saw a recommendation to this place and had to share..... well here we're 2021 and I never received a call even after I went in a month later, seemed odd to me they couldn't find it and asked for my number so they could call me back. Luckily this was given to me and I really didn't care, as it was going to be another expense. But to never receive a call, update, or any explanation is a tad odd. I found this shop online and decided to visit them. Promised my son a dirt bike for graduation. Found the staff to be very polite and helpful. They will always explain and provide you with any information you will need. I like the inventory and wanted to buy here because If I have a problem I know they will provide assistance. Never purchased a dirt bike before, and I really did not want to put my son on a $3000 dollar bike for the first time. This shop had exactly what I was looking for. Inexpensive equipment and good service. They have a good layaway plan and some financing options. I'm satisfied. Update... constant problems with the bike. Spoke to the owner and he is being helpful, but this is getting to be annoying. 3rd trip back and my kid kid doesn't even ride hard off road only back yard. These guys suck!!!! I bought a scooter from them in December of 2014. January 2015 the thing broke down. 33 days after I bought it. They said it was 3 days out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. So I reluctantly brought it to them to have them fix it. They said it was the carburetor and it would be about $150 to fix. Not too bad right, well almost a week later and $400 I finally got it back. Running great FOR A WEEK.... I had to bring it back to them again to fix the SAME problem. Its been there for another week now and they still haven't fixed it. They claim they are too busy. At least they claim their work is under warranty so this shouldn't cost anything but who knows the way they price things. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. read more

Save yourself a big headache and DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!!!! All their stuff is so cheaply made that it will cost you more money, every time you want to ride your bike, motorcycle or quad. The batteries are so cheap that they will not hold a charge, will not charge when hooked up to a charge. The metal on the stuff will bend and break. Looks like aluminum but is very cheap, thin metal. The Chinese should be ashamed of making and sending such a product. The service in the place SUCKS!!!!!!!! Everyone is rude and acts like they're doing you a favor, because once you've brought the product, YOUR STUCK! you have to buy replacement parts from them, at prices that they should be ashamed of. I honestly don't know how that place is in business. I brought my son a quad, brand new, had to bring it back 5 times for different reasons. It's been at that shop more times than he's rode it. The absolute WORST!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! These guys will tell you everything you wanna hear and the moment of purchase but as soon as things go sour you are completely ON YOUR OWN. They will tell you that your purchase is "under warranty" but If and when it breaks down you will get an expensive lesson on how their business has really made it for the past 9 years. Their NO REFUNDS accompanied by their NO RETURNS Policies (the fine little writing on the bottom of that paper when they tell you to 'sign here') will come back to haunt you when month past month go by and your "XtremeToy" isn't ready yet. When I called all I got was bad attitudes and/or told their favorite line ' we'll call you right back ' .. These guys take FOREVERRRRR to do even the simplest of repairs and always have some sort of excuse when you call or show up to find out what exactly is going on. Now keep in mind that Chinese engines aren't the most reliable but as a business they should at the very least stand by their product or warranties which they will make up any excuse NOT TO. if you get lucky and they do cover it under warranty you will sit and wait for months at a time and that my friends is nothing less then the truth. Horrible, Irresposible, Overpriced Busniess is what you will be signing up for so if that sounds good to you then COME ON DOWN to this shop where the Headaches are Covered but your Purchuse is NOT. Even though the costumer service was great , I wasn't told every detail about the "layaway" and how it works they just tried getting me to by the scooter. All I was told was bring a helmet back and you'll be all set. I changed my mind about purchasing the scooter because I ran into some financial problems and also want to get a street bike. I call back after a week later and I was told I would not be able to cancel and get my refund because "i was told that I cannot get the refund " which I did not .. , So I'm not able to get my down payment and I have 12 months for the layaway.? So when I put the down payment I filled out the receipt then the guy stamped the receipt that said "30 day warranty no refunds or exchanges on all layaways & purchases all sales are final" . Well I didn't get told that when I was filling out the receipt. When I called to speak with a manager he told me he will be able to exchange it for me?.
