A good Canadian spot to grab a coffee/croissant. They will greet you with Bonjour/Hi:) I had a croissant and an iced latte-delicious!

large iced coffee and English muffin

I went here for breakfast today and I got a large iced coffee and unlike Starbucks (in USA) I was able to pour my own milk !! I also got an English muffin with egg and bacon and cheese which was very good. It is open at 7:00 am NOT 8:00 am (which google maps had said). I definitely would come back to this location!

Second Cup really makes me want to go back for seconds. I am wary of chain coffee shops, namely Starbucks. Nevertheless, Second Cup is the exception. It is laid out similarly to Starbucks but it is much more creative and has more variety of food and beverages. I had their mochachino with skim milk and it is made with dark chocolate and espresso. It is so rich I cannot even tell it is actually skim milk. My husband also got a cup of chocolate with mint latte and it is as good as it gets. People are hanging out in the cafe and they have a wide selection of sandwiches, cakes, and desserts. I wish I had a chance to return!

Butter croissant (almond and almond w chocolate filled) and moccacinno (mocha)...delicious

Quick no-nonsense service. Delicious baked goods and decent selection. Hot and cold drink options. The mocha is superb! Rich and flavorful. You can choose milk alternatives which is nice. There is outdoor patio seating shared with Mandy's. Free wifi and lounge seats and standard high tops. Easy listening French and English songs playing in background. Very relaxing. Service could be a little more welcoming but I get it...it's get people in and out; keep it moving. So don't expect warm and fuzzies from staff.

Got a cup of Flat White. Quality of the coffee products in second cup is always good. Coffee is warm and fresh, also everything in this store is Canadian, proudly Canadian Comparing to Starbucks, this location is much cleaner. And the coffee shop environment is much better than other coffee chains.

Good location. It looks great inside, super sleek. Wifi is good. Just wish the view from the upstairs window was better, it just faces a wall.

Conveniently located. Recently renovated. Very fast service, someone takes your order while you are still in line so when you get @ cashier your drink is ready!! Love their matcha tea latte! Wifi is free but sometimes bugs..

Got the caramel latte. A bit on the pricey side but very good cup. Servers are polite.

It's so much coooler than a library, and much more cozy and welcoming than a cafe. If you've never been to one, it's basically paid per hour, with a max rate per day, and all coffee and drinks and snacks are included! Plus they have free wifi (of course). When you go in, theres a shelf full of slippers and even crocs for you to wear, so their place stays clean and your feet stay comfy! There's lots of soft couches, or dining tables, or theres a high table/ledge with stools facing outside, and lots more. The decor is full of interesting vintage objects, and lots of cute green plants. Very quirky and full of character. There's blankets and board games around too! They have another floor with more seating as well, but I didn't venture upwards. The snacks are pretty simple but tasty and with a good variety. Theres cookies and biscuits, carrot sticks, tortilla chips, rice crackers, hummus (homemade), gumdrops, mini oreos, bread/PB/Jam and more. They also have a panini press if you want to make a grilled cheese sandwich! The coffee is included too and you can ask the staff to make you a fancy drink, or they have just plain coffee as well, with milk, creamer, almond milk, and soy available. Their tea selection is very impressive with lots of options. Most are loose leaf, and they have these little teabags you can fill yourself. Their only rule is for you to wash your dishes when you're done! I like how they are quite eco friendly, as they minimize on packaging and disposable dishware, and they have compost as well. The staff are very friendly and approachable, and I really liked the general ambiance of.the place. I think I'd definitely come here quite often if I lived downtown! *note: this place is located upstairs, so not wheelchair accessible unfortunately :(
