He had a rough past, but came to us healthy and needing to be neutered before he was available for adoption. The Rescue Alliance uses Healing Hearts Mobile Vet Unit, which services animals from rescue groups and in low income areas. After calling several times I was able to take our great dane to their Mobile Vet Unit when they were in the East Valley to get neutered. I brought him in around 9:00am to a staff of 4 friendly women! They made me feel at ease. I got a call several hours later, letting me know he was ready to be picked up at noon. They helped me load him up and gave me plenty of instruction on his post surgical care. I really appreciate people that are able to help animals in need - so 5 stars for Healing Hearts!

There was a huge ball to climb into and roll around, tennis from professional instructors, basketball, tug of war, bean bag racing, dancing, there was a race to see how long and far you could run, free smoothies, face painting, sponsors that gave away free beverages, and the more activities you kids did the more tickets they won and you can turn them in for prizes at the end. There was a DJ hosting the event and even got the adults involved. It goes from 9am-noon and there are events every few months, so go to their website or find them on Facebook to be added to the invitation list.

This is the first time…read moreI had visited this location and similar to other outstanding locations in the valley, this location is very well organized, clean, and well lit. I mostly focus on men's clothing, including suits, shirts, ties, and belts, and this was a excellent location for those items. This Location had an abundance of really nice suits by some really top line brands. I'm talking about finding not one but two brand new 100% cashmere suits. They also had a top notch selection of sports coats including a seersucker that I was really torn about not taking with me. I've been looking for a full seersucker suit for a while and just haven't found it yet. They have the full array of both men's and women's clothing, housewares, sporting goods, kitchen wars, etc.. They also had some furniture items, including a couple of love seats and couches. This location also had more bikes and sporting equipment then I am used to seeing. I also did some shopping for my Lady and she joined me vía FaceTime. She found the shoe section to be really lacking. But again I think their inventory was pretty depleted from the 50% off sale. Also, I noticed that this location separates women's suits into blazers and pants vs other locations in the city group women's suits together where there are full sets available. This made it near impossible for me to shop for my significant other, but the women's clothing section is 2X, the men's clothing section. So ladies definitely will enjoy this one. Also, shout out to the management at this location, especially the Homie Rick. He helped me out by correcting a suit price that was initially priced as two separate pieces. I have had this happened to me quite a bit and I'm not complaining because I understand how hard it probably used to sort it through donated clothing and matchup suit pants with suit jackets but it is definitely appreciated when management goes the extra mile after I have already spent good time sorting through the pants to find the matching jacket!

Once we discovered there was no one who could help us with this, we had to forfeit the table. We were unable to get a 'FULL' refund because the staff in the back room kept our receipt. We could only get part of our funds back. So not only did we lose the table, we lost part of our money to Goodwill. Now they get to resell the table and pocket my money. Free. To them. We tried to suggest we come back in the afternoon to speak with the guy in the back who helped us and kept our receipt but we were told it was policy. Never again. Don't get scammed by Goodwill. They don't care of they keep your money or not. HORRIBLE!

I was in contact today with 1-800-GOT-JUNK and a same-day appointment was made for me. Two team members arrived with their truck and they assessed what I had to donate/remove. I cannot say enough about how good these team members are. They were incredibly polite and caring, and they gave me all the details for what I had to remove, along with pricing. Hello everyone! Yesterday was a bittersweet day for my husband and myself. A few weeks ago we rescued two beautiful little baby sisters of course we both fell head over heels in love with them and wanted to keep them! We named them Pearl girl and Pumpkin aka Punkin ...While we had these two silly rambunctious kittens... they unfortunately stressed out one of our other girls, and she became very ill from her anxiety and the stress..she fell into a crazy crazy depression‍ My husband and I both knew what we needed to do. Long story short, these two fabulous lovely human beings Lisa and Ariella came to our rescue!!!! in their own home. They are cat angels in disguise I was a hot mess dropping these two little baby girls off. I love them so much and my heart was just hurting! I didn't want them to think that I was abandoning them like there previous family did Ariella and Lisa made me feel so comfortable and relaxed! They reassured me that everything was going to be OK and that there were going to so safe. We are so very grateful for them They even let us hang out a little longer than we probably should've I cannot recommend this kitten rescue enough!! These ladies GIVE SO MUCH of their time, love, and kindness to the babiesand It shows!! Where do I begin?! This in home rescue is absolutely amazing. I can't even describe how grateful I am for Ariella & Lisa. I was given a stray kitten to take care of for a night.. ended up becoming 3 nights.The entire time I was taking care of him, I was so worried about where I'd have to take him because we couldn't give him a forever home. He is just the sweetest and I couldn't bare the thought of having to surrender him to an unsafe or uncaring environment. Lisa & Ariella are heaven sent angels! As soon as I talked to Ariella over the phone I knew the kitten would be cared for and loved as he deserves. They were very understanding of my situation and opened up a spot for him. I knew he'd be in good hands and that this rescue would be the perfect place for him. When the time came to drop the kitty off, we were warmly welcomed into their home and got the opportunity to see how well taken care of all their kitties were. All the kittens & even their own cats were super healthy and happy which made me feel so much better, not to mention the environments was full of love and spotless to say the least! They explained to me the process our little kitty would go through and it was all very reassuring. Again clean and organized! We are so thankful for the amazing ladies (Ari and Lisa) that run this sanctuary! Every kitten in their care is given all the love, attention, and commitment each kitty needs to thrive, no matter what! My partner had found a kitten who was ill and covered in ants suffering from a sever URI. My partner took her to a large state shelter where she struggled with her eyes continuing to crust and no appetite. They were even considering euthanizing her! :( Luckily the state shelter emailed Second Chance Kitten rescue and they saw hope for her. Within 24 hours of being in their care, her eyes began to clear up and by the end of her stay with them she had flawlessly recovered from her URI! This was only possible because of the immense amount of time, detail, and love they put into her care plan. We can never truly communicate how grateful we are for them! long story short, they love every kitty with their whole heart and you can tell through every step they genuinely have nothing but the kitties health and happiness at heart. We have had such a wonderful experience with the ladies that run Second Chance Kitten Rescue! We rescued 5 week old kittens and are happy to leave them in the care of Second Chance Kitten Rescue! From sharing their vet information and being so helpful start to finish! During intake, they took extra time to explain their processes to us and let us spend some time with the kittens to get them settled and say goodbye. I cannot recommend them enough! Plus they have an extensive background check on all potential owners which made us feel so much better leaving them with Second Chance Kitten Rescue. Lisa and Ari are absolutely amazing! I had a sray cat that I feed give birth to some beautiful, sweet babies but there was no way I could keep them because I have 3 large dogs who are not cat friendly. I reached out to Second Chance Kitten rescue and the answered me so quickly! I sent pictures, we texted and I was able to meet up with them and take the babies to them the next day. We adopted a cat from them at Petco at Metro Center, when I questioned the " we can not guarantee…read morethe animals health" part of their contract the woman told me don't worry shes healthy but Petco makes us put that on there if we wanted to adopt her we had to agre to it, ok great filled it out and took kitty home. Less than 36 hours later we found a mass onm the kittys jaw line. I tried calling the number on the adoption paperwork but of course it was no good, I called to talk to the woman at petco who told me I had to take kitty to their vet in scottsdale and the only contact was through email. And accused me of not paying the adoption fee and told me I had to come to petco and pay it..Nope..not putting my banking information in your phone. I checked paypal and they hadn't accepted the payment I made, so When given the correct information I resubmitted the payment immediately and PayPal verified that it has been accepted. I have emails spanning 5 days of Dawn Cavanaugh claiming kitty is healthy , even after she was diagnosed with Stomatosis and the vet recommended a biopsy of the mass on her jawline and FIV/Feline Leukemia testing. I made very clear throughout the email communications that I expected my monies refunded as the kitty is not healthy and of course when we returned her to the rescue I was accused of not paying the adoption fee and dishonesty. And I'm not getting a refund. I am communicating with Petco Cares and Paypal about this but beware !!

We adopted our first from them about 5 years ago and have adopted quite a few more since then. Everyone with the rescue has always been super helpful about matching us with the cat that is the right fit for our family and they have always been super responsive about getting back to us about any follow up questions we have had such as how to integrate a high energy Bengal kitten into our family of mellow older cats. LOH gave me something I badly needed during one of the hardest chapters of my life: peace of mind…read more Knowing that the love of my life -- my ESA Yorkie, Praise -- was safe, cared for, and loved allowed me to focus on picking up the broken pieces of my life and rebuilding my stability. They went above and beyond for us. LOH and their volunteer foster families honored my request to visit Praise every other weekend and even allowed me to bathe him at their facility because he's so sensitive about being groomed since he is very tiny and has very sensitive skin. Those small acts of kindness made an enormous difference for my and Praise's well-being. When I finally reached a place of stability, I was able to bring Praise home -- bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, full of joy, and with lots of toys and kibble -- and together we moved into our new home to continue our healing journey. I can't wait to give back to LOH and volunteer my time to support others who are facing the same struggles I went through. They've welcomed both me and Praise to volunteer. LOH and their volunteer foster families are truly a lifeline for anyone who has an emotional support animal or beloved pet and needs a safe place for them while they rebuild their life. I have to wonder what kind of screening Loh does because this is absolutely horrible experience we are dealing with. Why should I contact you? I often had the feeling he wasn't healthy, but to come home and find this? I am angry, as I had issues in the past with Florine and her bringing kittens for adoption that were not healthy either. We brought home an upper respiratory infection that time and transferred it to our cat. Upset? The words have no meaning to a heartbroken family and the loss of a loved family member. Grief stricken is the word.

This is my personal experience in regards to fostering a cat from this establishment…read more Her name was Skids. At the Sun Cities 4 Paws Cat Rescue, they called me Pookie. Anna called me Ms. Kitty. I fostered Kitty for 2 days. On the evening of the 2nd day, I finally was contacted after calling and texting staff since the 1st day. The cat was very sick, vomiting, and skeletal. In my opinion. She spent the entire 5 weeks in a cage while at the shelter. I was told she had kidney disease before bringing her home to hospice status the day I picked her up. Which was 2 days later. Yet, no medication was included in her care box. Shame on you, Sun Cities 4 Paws Cat Rescue. From my perspective, that poor cat was overlooked. Kitty deserved to be cared for or given peace over the rainbow bridge.

I left a couple of voice messages then followed up via email requests ( per instructions on their…read moresite) nearly every week from May 15th - Aug 15, 2025 and no one ever responded to my voice mails or emails. Not once! I hear they are overwhelmed, because I know someone who volunteers for them. There is NO EXCUSE, I repeat, NO EXCUSE for completely ignoring and refusing to return ANY messages or emails from someone. Pick up the phone or write an email saying sorry we can't get to you. The problem is, a coworker DID get a response and DID get help during this same time period. I believe these people are selectively picking and choosing who they want to help, and if they don't want to help you, you will NEVER get helped. Someone should report them to the state AG. Oh I tried to get help from them last year in May also and no one ever called or emailed me then, either. UNBELIEVABLE.
