Secom is a company that I trust. There are never any overcharge surprises in my bills. They have only raised their rates once in 7 years. When I have a problem, I get prompt service, both here and at work. Yesterday, after a couple days of slow internet, I left a message for IT. Not only did I receive a phone call back right away, but Jeff came to fix the problem within an hour. The harsh winds had blown the dish out of alignment. He climbed up on the roof, replaced an old piece of equipment and found the best signal. Jeff is personable, polite, knowledgeable and offers great customer service. Thank you Secom! read more

SECOM is my internet AND home phone provider, has been for several years. Yes, as some uninformed reviewers have "detailed", service can occassionally be interuppted - for A SMALL amount of time. But not so much/greatly IMPROVED within the past 2 years. What are your priorities; how fast your next NETFLIX FIX is delivered? OR...how KINDNESS in our daily interactions in life...make us better humans, besides calming down our crazy, mixed up world. PEOPLE -- this is a relatively new company, stretching its legs, building its product, etc.!! We have beome an INSTANT SOCIETY with the patience of an agitated hornet!! What matters oveall - IMHO...is the KINDNESS in their customer service! Having worked over 50 years in the customer service SANDBOX - incurred extensive training by large companies such as EASTERN AIRLINES...N.Y. and N.J Bell Telephone....The V.A. Medical Cemter....CO. Real Estate...National Park SERVICE....such that I can REALISTICALLY attest - with out question nor hesitation, that the constant - did I memntion - CONTINUAL - EXCEllENT (KIND) customer service I receive from the SECOM staff ....could NOT be better. HANDS DOWN. And they maintain their hometown ownership as they continually expand their product area coverage. Have you tried talking to a REAL PERSON lately, in large companies? Do you enjoy being treated like a third grader as you attempt to "interact" with computerized answering phone trees that have the brain pattern of a college-level basic computer program? WELL! Terrible service internet goes down on regular basis at least every other day goes down for an hour or more.

Well, like normal or clockwork, service down again, do yourself a favor, even earthnet is better, going back to centurylink , cheaper for more mpbs. This companies equipment SUCKS read more

Nice People Terrible Service.. My household had vision broadband before secom took them over. The service was usable then, but now the service has gotten worse. I have called the support and talked to the technicians, tried everything and basically they told me it was on their end as the wireless towers were being overloaded and 'clogged' as there is not enough bandwidth. Note I have done tons on my end changing router frequencies to not interrupt the wireless signal, reseting hardware contsantly and so on. I was told they had tower upgrades in place but that was over a year ago still nothing.. Usualy with speeds are around 5-8Mbps if we are lucky, but to have close to the 15 Mbps download and 7 upload I have to contsantly call them... I am tired of calling them to have reliable internet. The only time the interent seems to be remotely ok is around 11pm to 5am when not as many people on. I would say the tech support and people working for secom are nice and all but they know the internet services are bad, granted most can't do anything about that. All in all I am giving Secom 1 star because of the customer service only, the service is so unreliable, I would not reccomend to anyone especially the Wireless. I can't say the same for fiber as only wireless is avalible in my area. This company seems to not care about providing customers with somewhat reliable speeds and instead all about the money. Not caring about overloading there towers and not upgrading appropriatley. Not to metion the cost of the service being $70 for 15 Mbps, when I go to College I pay $50 for 500 Mbps and yes I understand wireless costs more but wow that's a huge difference. read more

So disappointed! My husband discussed with the technician his running the cable into our home through an exciting cable entrance and snaking the cable to the location of the house where we wanted it. He indicated he could not do this and insisted he had to drill another hole into our home for $150.00. He ran an ugly black cable in the middle of our outside wall. So sad. We have 30 days to cancel if we are not happy , with no refund, and the cost of having to repair the new home in the wall he created. Be careful what you sign and agree to. Again very disappointed. We will see what the service is like. Not a good start at all. read more

Corporate entity that, in typical fashion, treats its customers as numbers. They do not care about your situation or whatever, or the fact that you have been a customer for 4 years! They don't even care about the fact that there is a virus pandemic going on, you can't pay by the due date, you get shut off. Hate Secom, would never reccommend, techs are useless when it comes to outtages that we frequently experience even though it's fiber optic technology - Just a terrible company... read more

Used to have great service, then moved less than 1/4 a mile and now we can't get any service. The worst part is the prior owners had SECOM and it worked just fine. So frustrating to have no option for an internet provider. read more

I started with Secom 1 year ago & was very satisfied. This was even before they put in fiber optic lines to my house last month. Now that I've had their high speed internet it's even greater!! I've had to call tech support occasionally & they take the time to explain things to me. The staff has been nothing but outstanding! I highly recommend them for people in Pueblo West, CO. We are out in the boonies when it comes to internet service. read more

Terrible, terrible internet, particularly if you enjoy actually being connected. Expect lapses in service, unexpected droppages, and about 0 help from the customer service guys. They'll tell you to reset things, make confused noises, and eventually say to try it again. Even when I finally got a crew out to my place (no mean feat, considering they don't apparently provide service to their service locations), they won't have the tools required to try to diagnose it, let alone fix it. Finally, when you call in, they will commiserate with you and say, "Oh, I'm a gamer too!" Unfortunately, apparently they all use a different ISP unavailable in my area. Worst of the worst, and a clear signal why competition in the market matters, because of terrible businesses like this one. read more

This company is terrible, ever since they purchased Vision Broadband, the service has progressively gotten worse. Every weekend it goes out or slows to point it cant be used, they have no after hours service, and during business hours they always claim no isdues with their service. read more

We had Vision Broadband for years. It had it's problems, but for the most part was usable. Secom took over and the quality and speed of our internet tanked badly. We have good speed (what we pay for, 20Mbps) $89.95, from about 1a.m. to 6a.m.. They vary in their explanation, but basically they aren't fixing it any time soon. They don't listen to us about what steps we went through with the other company and just want to repeat what we have already tried. Nothing has changed here, so something changed when they took the company over. Think it might involve costs? Just my thought on that. Will file with other entities to see if that can get a real explanation from them. read more

I recently bought a home in Pueblo West. When I turned on my computer, I saw a bunch of CenturyLink modems. I have CenturyLink at another home, where we suffer from terrible service, but excellent service personnel. When I signed up, they promised service in 2 days. No surprise, it didn't happen. I called and was promised service in 5 days. No surprise, it didn't happen. I called and was lied to for five weeks - until finally a person in their back office told me they couldn't install because they had run out of channels and had to replace local equipment first, and it would be 2-3 MONTHS. I cancelled service, and called SECOM. Near instant service, fantastic response, I don't know if they are cheaper or more expensive than CenturyLink and guess what, I'll NEVER know because I won't be changing. read more

I'm only giving one star because the service techs and people who work there are nice/friendly, otherwise I'd give 0 stars if that was an option. The internet service is absolutely terrible ALL the time... AND THEY KNOW IT. For the past several months now, we've only been paying for ONE week of service a month because that's the deal they made with us because they know they suck so much. They even know what the issue is that has to be fixed and it's taking an eternity to fix. They tell you to reboot and try again, but make no effort whatsoever to actually improve what needs to be fixed. Only time service is consistent is 10 or 11 pm until about 6 am, when nobody else is on. Forget trying to game if you're a gamer, it's impossible... Internet connection is choppy and cuts out and goes down for hours at a time at least once a week, I kid you not, more than it is up and running smoothly, which is unacceptable. Pages take forever to load, videos buffer... This is the only choice in our town and it's BEYOND frustrating dealing with the constant issues. If you have LITERALLY ANY OTHER CHOICE, choose them, don't waste your time and money here. SERIOUSLY. Don't do it. read more
