My car began failing as I was getting off the freeway and as I drove further down Miracle Mile, I knew it was beginning to stall so I drove into the parking lot of Aaron's, remembering there was a mechanic there. I walked in and explained my car was breaking down and asked if they could fix it. I did not have an appointment, and was a first-time client, but they took my car and had it fixed with a new alternator within two hours, including having a part delivered. I truly am grateful my car stalled near your shop and it's been working great for the past month since the incident. The office manager was also very kind to me and explained things very plainly and gave me options to make things more affordable, and made recommendations on things I should fix in the future which were not urgent. They saved me money from having the car towed to my usual mechanic and I'd definitely go back and recommend to others that the place is run fairly.

They charged $160 for a diagnostic which would be fine except I gave them the report from AutoZone who had run a diagnostic hours prior. And typically when you do the work, a garage will then credit that diagnostic fee to the work being done. They charged $604 total after I protested about the spark plug parts cost. Originally they wanted $200 for the spark plugs part. After protesting, they charged $176 for the Spark Plugs (parts) alone. $240 for the labor and $160 to diagnose something that was already diagnosed. When I told them the max fee for spark plus is $50, (I'm ok with companies marking-up costs but not at over 240%), they gave me $40 off. Still an astronomic cost for changing spark plugs, especially in Tucson. They did give me my car back in 1 day though, which I appreciated.

I ranted and raved about this place because I trusted the owner Doug he was so kind. Well,…read moreapparently my being in hospice and sick affected my judgement because he did nothing but charge me for a serpentine belt that he did not replace nor need to because it had already been replaced new, (He didn't even inform me he was doing that. I found out after I paid and saw it on the bill, so there was no authorization ask for or received) and then put two clamps on a power steering PRESSURE hose that was bad instead of replacing hose and doing it right. For all that I was charged $184.79 for two $1.80 clamps that were nothing more than a worthless bandaid that lasted a few months max. He looked at a sick old lady on hospice and saw "sucker". Makes me wonder about the time I took it to him for a new charger. car had brand new battery that tow company checked and said was fine, but Doug insisted it was fried. (if fried, how all the lights light up still) I dont know. maybe that time was legit but the first time was nothing but a bogus scam. Now that it has been fixed right, and I have the part I have proof he scammed me.
