Towed my lowered car, fast and caring service, my battery was dead, they jumped my car and loaded it with no damage.

Did not ask specific questions about the vehicle to make sure it can be towed by them. Wasted my time, very dismissive on the phone and sounded lazy asking if the tow could wait until the next morning. They work through AAA so I'm not sure what the price would have been. They get paid either way through AAA, even if they don't end up towing the vehicle, so they have incompetent drivers making claims that my vehicle could not be towed by them when their company has done it in the past and I have proof since they're the only company in that area that works through AAA (confirmed by AAA). Do yourself a favor and go with your local small business tow companies. AAA contracts lazy and incompetent drivers. read more

My 2017 4Runner was totalled when a fool turned left in front of me when I had the right of way .... My vehicle was towed to Sebastopol Tow. After nearly 60 days of rejection, Sebastopol Tow / Owner Mancuso was compelled to pay for the damage to my vehicle and restore my $250 deductible. My Farmers agent explained that Sebastopol Tow is (brace yourself) SELF INSURED!!!!??? Something is entirely wrong here. I'm guessing their insurance likely expired (Gosh, I wonder why??) and they are having trouble finding another Insurance Company to provide coverage. But, that's just my guess... This would also explain why the hapless employee ran away and refused to acknowledge the damage done to my vehicle. It also explains why Owner Mancuso tried to ignore myself and my Insurance Co (Farmers) in hopes we would merely go away. SELF INSURED!???? NO ONE (Repeat) NO ONE would "self insure" their business! Drivers are rude, and very unprofessional. Was told by AAA they would bring a battery, they did not... then I was told it's my fault they came ill prepared. After taking over 45 mins to raise the car and properly secure it down (which keep in mind shouldn't take that long for a FWD vehicle) he then proceeded to give us an INCORRECT DIAGNOSIS, without any further testing.... And proceeded to tell me WHY I'm incorrect.... Fantastic service.... Absolutely fantastic. Use Nesters, or performance towing, or empire.... this company is trash. read more

Horrible customer service. I had two trucks stuck in my backyard in the soft soil. They pulled up in a SUV, not a tow truck with a winch to pull them out. A lady got out of the SUV while the guy stayed behind. She said $600 to pull them both out, but it would be an hour before they could have a truck out to me. Pulling them out entails pulling a winch cable out to them from their truck in the street and pulling them forward. Less than an hours worth of work. I said that seemed like a lot of money for an hour of time, and just then the guy screamed from the SUV that "there was a roll over accident that would get them more money" and she ran to the SUV, jumped in and they took off. Ended up getting Santa Rosa Tow to do it for $275 in 30 minutes. Sebastopol Tow takes advantage of people in desperate conditions. read more

If you break down in the 95472 zip code and AAA sends you to this tow company, refuse their service and ask for another. They are the worst. They charged me $275 for a short tow in Sebastopol, even with my AAA membership, plus $320 in storage fees. When the other driver's insurance told me about the fees, I rushed to pay $615 out of pocket. They told me to arrange another tow with AAA, but Sebastopol Tow failed to deliver my car that day. I got no updates from them or AAA. The next day, after five calls and hours on hold, AAA told me Sebastopol Tow would move my car "at their leisure." My car arrived 22 hours later, and the driver was rude. I wasted an entire day dealing with this. Avoid them and use Yarborough Bros. or another reputable company in Santa Rosa. Their incompetence and poor service are unbelievable. read more

Zero stars. The people running this company, Michael and Christina, are incredibly rude, conniving, unprofessional people. Michael bragged to me about having a second home in Hawaii while attempting to charge me $495 for a tow plus $90 for my vehicle staying overnight in his lot. After I was hit by a drunk driver and my car was totaled less than a mile from my home, Michael talked me out of having my car towed to my property, which was well within my included tow radius through AAA and would have cost me nothing. He assured me that it was safer to have my car taken to his lot, where "my belongings would be safe" behind his tall fence with a guard dog. He took my AAA card and told me not to worry. The next morning, he attempted to charge me neary $600. He then told me if I wanted to give him my pink slip he'd drop it down to $300, knowing that insurance companies had not yet had a chance to view and appraise the damage to my vehicle. Lastly, he lied to my face and said that I'd told him I had full coverage and wasn't worried about any fees. That is so far from the truth that it's laughable. I have reported Michael and Sebastopol Tow to AAA. If you are unfortunate enough to need towing services and Sebastopol Tow is dispatched to you, I highly recommend that you refuse their services and call AAA for an alternative. read more

My daughter was stranded in Bodega Bay and Michael from Sebastopol Tow said he could help her within an hour. She accepted, and Michael cancelled the other tow truck (that could not give an ETA). An hour later, I called Michael to find out where he was. Michael yelled at me and hung up the phone. I called again and asked respectfully that he answer my question as to whether he would be assisting my daughter and he yelled at me again and hung up again. We recontacted the original company and they came after she had been cold and hungry and stressed for several hours. When I picked her up she told me that Michael had yelled at her also because he wanted payment by phone before coming and she only had cash. This person is angry and unstable, and he abandoned my daughter in an unsafe situation with no notice. Dangerous and awful. read more

I had a mechanical issue with my Rover in town and I needed a tow, so through AAA I was given the Sebastopol tow company. They called and asked where it was to be towed, I gave a residence address in town and the dispatcher was rude, and speaking loudly telling me he can't tow it to a house with a dirt road etc etc and was incredibly rude, unprofessional and honestly angry. More rudeness continued as his worker came by with a tow truck with a car on the bed, and she tried to jump the battery which wasn't the problem as I explained to her. I asked for a crescent wrench and I could hear the dispatcher yelling making jokes about me as she had him on speaker phone. unprofessional and frankly an embarrassment to AAA. An hour and 1/2 she returned in a disgusting AAA suv to drive me to the address, and tow truck arrived. on The ride I expressed my shock on the actions of dispatcher and she agreed with me it was bad customer service. I surmised this is a daily event. I'm writing this because you have choices and no one has to take poor service that borders on abuse. My next review will be to AAA management about this. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could. My car needed a tow less than 10 miles, to my home, so I called AAA. Dispatch got my info. She asked if I'd be the only one riding in the tow truck, never said a word about Covid. I said yes, just me. Sebastopol Towing came, the (nice) driver took photos of the license plate. I paid the registration, but at the time it wasn't smogged, so no current sticker. I didn't know that was a new rule with AAA, that you won't be towed! Michael Mancuso, supposedly the owner of Sebastopol Towing, called my cell multiple times, each time yelling at the top of his lungs. I was calm and listened. He first yelled after I answered, "STOP!!! LISTEN!!! YOU CANNOT RIDE IN THE TOW TRUCK WITH THE DRIVER! AAA WILL PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE YOU HOME." I said, "Ok... may I ask why?" He yelled back, "BECAUSE IF MY DRIVER GETS COVID & BRINGS IT BACK TO THE SHOP & I HAVE TO SHUT DOWN MY BUSINESS, IT'S GONNA COST ME $15 THOUSAND DOLLARS A WEEK!!" (He's unhinged) Then he yells, "WHY AREN'T YOU GOING TO A SHOP?!" I said hubby will fix it. He's a master mechanic who does the repairs on our car. Besides, Mr. Mancuso - it's none of your business why. The 3rd time he called, he said they WILL NOT tow a car without current stickers. He called AAA & got someone on the line to confirm. Dispatch never said anything on this. Ok, lesson learned. I asked about vintage cars being restored in need of a tow, no stickers & he yelled "WE DON'T DO THAT, OR WE'D BE HAULING JUNK ALL THE TIME!" (and making $$$) Ok... The 4th and final time he called, he said "I can ONLY send out my Commercial Tow Truck, but it's $15.00 a mile, so it would be $150.00." WOW!! So after yelling at me on 4 calls, he can get me towed if I paid $150. There was no way I was having Sebastopol Tow do it. I wouldn't recommend them to the devil. If you want to get treated better, go anywhere but there. He's been reported to AAA. read more

At about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 my wife (80 years old with a handicap sticker on our 2023 Lexus RX 350h) called AAA for a tow. Sebastopol Tow responded to that call at the Safeway parking lot. When the driver arrived, he stopped in front of other cars. Almost immediately, a shopper needed to have him move his truck and in spite of the fact she apologized for asking him to move because she had an autistic child she needed to pick up, the driver spoke to her disrespectfully. Next, he attempted to jump start our car, could not do so, and told us we needed a wheel lift and dolly truck. At that exact time I was on my cell to the Lexus dealer to find out how to put our car into neural so I didn't need the specialized tow. He said he could not wait (even though he had not been there for more than 10 minutes). I said to him that I'd been a AAA customer for over 45 years and was not satisfied with his service. Almost immediately my wife (who made the initial call) received a very rude message from the dispatcher saying he could not spend more time, that he had several pending calls, one of them a handicapped lady. I told him that my wife was also a handicapped lady and he hung up. Finally, after waiting over 6 hours for an out of town "wheel lift and dolly truck" they immediately started our car with a simple battery jump. The original driver from Sebastopol Tow did not even know the right place under my hood to accomplish a battery jump start. I usually don't write reviews, but this is not my first encounter with Sebastopol Tow. Last year, we were in a car accident and needed to get a tow from the accident scene to a body shop we've used in the past. This body shop was less than one mile from the accident location. I specifically asked to have my car towed to the body shop one mile from the accident. Instead, Sebastopol Tow, without my permission, took the car to their yard in the hopes of changing me additional fees. In contacting AAA I found that if I needed a tow in the future, I would have no choice but to have them call my local two company (Sebastopol) and because of that, I cancelled my AAA membership after 45 years. read more

Ive been waiting for 3 hours and they won't come to change a tire because the road is wet. Wtf!? It's a hard gravel pressed road and we have huge dump trucks on this road and they won't come and ask if we could drive to pavement tf? If I could drive I would not need a tow truck. Just lazy. read more

Should you find yourself befallen by the misfortune of being wrecked or broken down in the 95472 zip code and AAA dispatches you to this tow company, do yourself a favor and kindly refuse their service and insist on another local tower. This is without a doubt the most incompetent and unscrupulous towing company I've ever encountered. They started by charging me $275 for a tow into Sebastopol, a mere few miles from where my vehicle was rear-ended and totaled by a negligent driver--despite my AAA membership. It continued with an additional $320 in storage fees. When I got a call from the other driver's insurance company alerting me to the fact that my vehicle was racking up excessive storage fees I quickly rearranged my busy schedule and borrowed a vehicle to go to their tow yard to pay the $615 bill out my own pocket. It was then that they instructed me to call AAA dispatch and arrange to have my totaled vehicle towed to my residence, only to be dispatched back to Sebastopol Tow who failed to deliver my vehicle in the two hours remaining before the close of business that day. I was left completely in the lurch with no contact from anyone at the company or AAA. I woke up the next day and began making calls to find out where my vehicle was, and FIVE calls and hours of hold time later I finally spoke to a supervisor at AAA who informed me that Sebastopol Tow would be towing my car "at their leisure". No time frame, no call back, no apology, no explanation, no nothing. Finally, some 22 hours after I placed my first call to AAA dispatch for assistance, my vehicle finally arrived and the driver was a massive tool. I wasted an entire day dealing with this company's bullshit. Don't make the same mistake I did. Spend a few extra dollars if you have to and get your vehicle towed by Yarborough Bros. or someone reputable in the Santa Rosa area. The level of incompetence and poor customer service going on here is truly staggering. read more

REALLy creepy, unprofessional driver. I needed my car towed from downtown to my place about 5 miles outside of town. I waited by the parking lot entrance for the driver. The tow truck driver showed up and refused to let me drive with him the hundred yards to my car ... very awkward, as I was offering to show him where it was, around the corner and a hundred feet into the lot. This is at 11am on a Saturday morning at a well-known auto service center on Bodega Hwy in tiny Sebastopol, people and cars all around, no issue of safety. He gazed blankly at me when I asked him if I could get a ride, then said "No." I waited for the punchline, but there wasn't any. "Are you serious?" I asked. "You really mean no?" Again, he stared blankly at me and waited before saying "No." I told him I'd meet him at my car. He beat me there and began the process of loading my car onto his truck. I tried to initiate conversation with him and he stared at me blankly, yet when he had something to say to me, he sounded friendly, like an ordinary person. His behavior was disconcerting. I told him he had to follow me to my house, as apps and GPS often get the routing wrong at the very end and deliver people to the wrong address. He had no response, so I didn't know if he heard me, even though he was looking directly at me as I spoke. We got separated leaving town and then he found me about a half mile from my house. We headed up a two lane county road, straight as an arrow with total visibility. He drove about 7 miles an hour up the 35mph road, which has small, easily negotiable potholes. I drove ahead of him at his pace, so as not to lose him. His speed dropped to 5 mph or less, then he stopped in the road for several minutes. A car was waiting behind him. He started driving again and we rounded the final corner and I pulled into my driveway to show him where it was. It's a sharp turn so he did a 5-point turn at the intersection. Then, instead of pulling down my driveway, which is a hundred yards long, he pulled a hundred feet down the road onto a dirt pullout, unloaded my car, yelled: "It's all yours!" and left. By some miracle my car, which was not running when I brought it to the auto shop and was not repaired there, started and stayed alive long enough for me to drive the 400 feet or so up the road and down the driveway to my house. Overall a really uncomfortable, unprofessional experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. If AAA wasn't paying for that downright creepy experience, I'd be demanding my money back. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a tow company! I was helping my elderly grandmother get her car to a shop. Sebastopol tow is 15 min away it took then 3 hours to get there because they did not have a driver yet and when the driver JJ finally arrived he already had a awful nasty tone talking to me and my grandmother. He yelled at us when we said the car doesn't run because he did not want to have to back down to the car and when we refused to start the car and cause more damage (moister in the block) he got very angry and started wining saying he was going to pass the call and refuse to transport the vehicle. He left and no one else came so I had to call the office and Michael matches jj's awful energy of being a nasty human. they mever sent another tow and left me and my grandma stranded. luckily I recorded everything they will have a lawsuit soon For elderly abuse. read more

Was authorized by a supervisor at AAA to have Seb. Tow come unlock my boyfriend's truck where he'd locked his keys and cell inside. I have COVID and needed approval to not be with the vehicle when they arrived to unlock it. Then 15 minutes later I received a call from Sebastopol Tow asking if I'd been inside the vehicle and I answered yes but was not near it now. He got agitated and said he emailed the company and needed to wait for their written answer that they would cover all medical expenses for him, all his employees and his entire business should they get COVID. I told him the driver would be outside, and only unlock the driver's side door and I did not drive, nor did I touch that handle, etc. He starting yelling at me and hung up on me. Called AAA back to report his rudeness (and that it was the owner I spoke with) to get them to find another company to come out. So just know when you're already frazzled (and possibly ill), you won't get treated with any respect by this company. read more

0 stars. I called AAA and was in a low phone/internet reception area with two children and my car wouldn't start. Brian towed my new travel trailer from Northbay Trailer Sales in Santa Rosa to almost Sebastapol, (it was for temp residence during remodel). Not only was he early, he somehow arrived at my sons before I did, actually, its probably because he drives for a living and knows routes unknown to others. He was a real nice guy, reasonably priced, (lower than the other 2 the dealership recommended & they were booked). He parked it with precision and then I about fell over when he started lowering the non-electric jacks, onto blocks from the property, made sure it was level etc... Brian went the extra mile and I so appreciated it. If I need a tow or, start ect and I'm local I'm calling him in the future and use my roadside club card if out of town. read more

I would never use this service again due to very rude customer service. I asked for the car to be towed to another place because it seems the mechanic I was referred to would not be able to help me. The old man with no teeth ( sorry he didn't tell me his name) raised his voice at me and said no once it's at the location I can't tow it again. To which I said even if I'm willing to pay you again? To which he said still yelling "yes if you want to pay $225." Look, I'm willing to pay what's needed to get my car fixed, it's the only mode of transportation I have. I'm new in town so I don't have friends or family to call to get a ride. When you are handling business and are professional you should know there is a way to talk to people. I told the old man that I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to me because I'm not his child and if I'm willing to pay him then since this is his business I would think he'd want the business. He told me he didn't want my business. Not to worry cause you'll never get it again. read more

Excellent service, great guys. I had a dead battery recently so had two experiences with Seb Tow. First was a jump start, arrived in good time and got it started. Was a young guy who seemed new to the process so the paperwork went slower than I might have liked but not a big deal. Second time was for a replacement battery, which they brought out and installed. There was a tiny bit of labor involved because of a cover on the battery, but were happy to explain everything. Very polite, respectful, good folks all, would highly recommend. read more

worst customer service i have ever experienced. not surprising after reading the other reviews. after 3 days sebastopol tow managed to finally jump my car even though i explained that the city was working on the streets and it needed to be moved asap. i needed a new battery because the car had been sitting for a long time and i actually need to drive it so i need a new battery and this is usually a pretty easy process through triple a. sebastopol basically refused to help me. first they said it was too late in the day to put a new battery in, second the guy gets there 5 min before me even though the app says an hour untill arrival says he wont wait for me, and refuses to even check battery before i get there but not to worry he would be back in 20 minutes. 45 min go by, then 2 hours go by no one will answer their phone they even make it super hard to find lol. 3rd they try and say their out of stock but then on the last day they say that putting in batterys isnt even something they do which is absolutely not true. finally they get their on day 3 after hours and hours of phone calls the guy refuses to test my battery saying "its not under the hood its prob in the trunk" which i show him is not the case im literally looking at it under the hood. if you want the worst customer service of all time or someone to do the least possible to get you out of their hair sebastopol tow is your place. read more
