Mike's previous construction management experience lends itself well to home inspections, and his depth of knowledge on all aspects of the inspection was very impressive. Mike answered all of my questions with clear explanations and useful suggestions, with emphasis on safety concerns. I particularly appreciated that he didn't sugar coat any issues he found so that I understood exactly what I need to deal with right away and what I can plan for down the line. Less than 24 hours after the inspection, Mike emailed his report. It very detailed and clearly explained all of the issues we had discussed in person along with with clearly organized priorities and recommendations. The report included many photographs and descriptions, which will be very helpful for continued use as a reference document. I would absolutely recommend Homebase Home Inspections to anyone looking for a thorough, professional, reasonably priced home inspection.

His report also helped us get an idea about what routine maintenance items will need to be done in the future to keep the house functioning well. Hiring Bryan helped us make a truly informed decision about our house. While his fees are very reasonable, Bryan's experience and advice is invaluable. We will be recommending Bryan to our friends.

Don is the best. Thorough, ethical and no nonsense…read more I have referred Don dozens of times to clients. He provides tons of information other inspectors will not. He is a fountain of information such as the age, life expectancy and proper use and maintenance of dozens of systems and appliances. Beyond just what is broken and in need of replacement, he provides homeowners with information to maintain the value of their homes over time. He also takes the time (or more accurately his wife takes the time) to provide a thorough written report with photos to help document anything of interest. I couldn't recommend Don more highly. He is always my first call after one of my buyers comes under contract.

Big bonus points for doing thermal imaging as well (great for detecting moisture intrusion and other issues you otherwise wouldn't see!).

I think I'm still in shock over my experience with J…read more I could tell you about how this guy gave me an in-depth home inspection while I was out-of-state that made me feel like I was right there the whole time. 100% felt like that was some of the best money I've ever spent. I could tell you how he -- completely unsolicited --offered to walk through the report in person with me whenever I got into Washington for the home sale. But Y'ALL. Let me tell you instead how I called this guy nearly TWO YEARS AFTER THE INSPECTION in a panic during the last big freeze when an exterior hose bib failed. Why? Because a) the water company had come through and updated the water meter, changing the look of the main shut-off (rendering my limited experience with the valve totally useless), and b) no plumber would come out, since they were responding to 19,383,629 other freeze-related emergencies. I expected NOTHING from this guy at this point: it was the hailiest of Hail Mary's. Instead, I got a quick "I'm on my way" from him. WHAT?!? When he got there, found another shut-off, and kept me from going without water (and my house from floating away on its own plumbing-failure river), my shriveled little Grinchy heart DID grow three sizes that day! J is good people doing good work. I will never work with anyone else for home inspections.
