I was once a weekly if not twice weekly customer of this place to get my propane filled. Due to my work schedule it's usually late at night/ early morning I am able to come get a fill. I have a great relationship with one of the most employees that normally works the night shift, and have multiple times stayed after my propane is already filled just to finish our conversation. 4/28 at 1:15 A.M. I arrived and walked to the door to find it locked, walked over to the window and the employee gives me the cut throat gesture. I attempted to explain that I come here ALL THE TIME and it even says online "Our dedicated team is here to fill your propane needs 24/7 ... and we know our stuff. From barbecue tanks to forklift bottles, we get your propane tank re-filled or exchanged and get you on your way." But he decided to ignore me, and continue to make coffee, which makes no sense if the doors are locked and you aren't allowing customers in the store why are you making fresh coffee? Another gentleman came to the door and attempted to open it. He was waved off in the same manor. I would understand if he did not know how to fill the propane, but to not talk to me like a human being and then ignore me is so rude and disrespectful I refuse to come back to this store. Getting my propane tanks filled is my only source of heat. And I have spent hundreds if not thousands getting my tanks filled here regularly. I will take my business elsewhere and drive all the business I can away from this place. read more

Called about filling portable propane tanks. The person has no idea what I was talking about. Answered the phone, "Hello." I had to ask three times if this is Seattle Propane, he finally said yes. Have had difficulty finding a local facility that has not lost their internal thread adapter. Misplaced, lost or stolen. I am calling before driving all over town , again. Seattle Propane was rude, no knowledge of propane tanks and difficult to understand. I do not recommend. Your experience may be different. read more

Usually a good place to refill your tanks at a decent price, assuming you're coming in a day that it's not raining and isn't busy and isn't the weekend and isn't a holiday and isn't a full moon (mostly joking, just a little hard to get a refill on busy days since it's usually too busy for the attendant to run out and refill but on the days they can refill it's great!) read more

I will no longer buy propane here. I have come here for years but today is my last time. I went there yesterday afternoon and the guy at the counter if he could refill my tanks. He barked at me "come back tomorrow morning" and when back to watching videos on his phone. I asked him what time and he said "huh?! Ummm 9AM" I can back the next morning and the guy at the counter said to come back at 11:30. Im not going to make a third trip to this place in hopes they can fill my tanks. read more

Best place in Seattle to get propane tanks filled. THE ROSES: You can't beat the hours. These guys are a 24/7 operation! Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Unlike some operators, if you have a new tank, they'll purge it for you (which is necessary before use). THE THORNS: Wallingford location on 45th has a lot of traffic. Can be hard to get to. THE VERDICT: Forget U-Haul for propane fills. These guys appreciate your business and it shows. Highly recommend. read more

Now it turns out they won't exchange, even if they're open, at certain times of the day, because the school next door is getting out. They say they're open 24/7 on their website but went on a Sunday and a sign said they couldn't refill. When I asked the attendant in the gas station how to contact someone to find out when they would be available to refill the attendant didn't know. So it seems like refills are if you're lucky and exchanges might be 24/7. read more

I didn't think I'd leave a review for a propane tank (it's a propane tank, what more do you need to know?), but the guy working today was ON IT from the moment he noticed me staring at the tanks outside. Came to the door before I even walked in and immediately helped me pay for it and go, while also holding a conversation about the silly masks we were both wearing today. This is one of those cool and family owned and operated franchise gas stations. I feel pretty bad for the people who work these gigs. They don't set the gas prices. It's the distributers, and greater, manufacturing powers that pricefix for the greatest corporate profits in the history of mankind. (If you were looking for me to say "peoplekind" or "manandwomynkind" you're reading the wrong reviewer.) I stopped in here at 3am on my way back from one of those you-can't-leave-until-I-get-five-more-phone-numbers things where I was wingmaning it up and I stopped in here for gas and one of those unholy chili with fake cheese dogs that, after a trip to Uptown in Minneapolis, I sometimes crave after being up too late after a night of revelries. I went inside and talked to Jon who was working the counter. He had stories about how the rich and powerful are up at night and drop in for gas and whatnot on occasion. This is quite possibly the best gas station on the face of the earth. The store is spacious and clean, and offers great deals on coffee, energy drinks, and breakfast sandwiches. Just perfect, because my bus stop is right in front of it and I'm often left with plenty of time to kill thanks to the #16 bus, which is always 10 minutes late. Also gotta love the snappy and ironic phrases they put outside. Makes my day. read more

If you ever need propane - 24/7 - this is the only place in Seattle to goto. The crew is happy, helpful, funny - I always ask for a joke, and always get a laugh. The place is spotless, and has all the gas station and convenience store stuff, too. Propane and fuel == Seattle Propane. This station provides DIESEL fuel (the green-colored pump handles) alongside the usual gasoline pumps. I rent a mailbox nearby and so use this station regularly when the fuel tank on my VW Jetta TDI is running dangerously low, or my time is short, and biodiesel is not near my itinerary. Other useful tidbits: Their windshield washer fluid is always fresh, soapy and frothy. They have air pumps ... can't recall if they're free or not. There's a bus stop right in front of the gas pumps. I found this place while searching for someone that could purge and fill new propane tanks. They claim to be able to solve all problems propane, so it sounded perfect. I called before I visited and confirmed that they could purge new tanks - the lady was polite and said they could do it. I brought my tank down and the guy couldn't purge and fill it. He said the pressure valve was busted and said that quality control on the tanks is poor sometimes. That's fine, I went and got another new tank and brought that one a couple of days later. The same guy was working and he wasn't able to fill this one either - he said it was another broken pressure valve and it couldn't be filled. He was nice and polite and apologized for the inconvenience. But after two "defective" tanks I got a little suspicious, and took them down to Sure Marine Service. They had no trouble at all purging and filling both of them. So... if the whole point of this place is to be great at propane, they really ought to be great at propane. They couldn't figure out my slightly-out-of-the-norm propane thing. They also charge more for a propane fill than other gas stations in the area. read more

I pay for the privilege of all hours service, mind you, but where else are you going to find an LP refill at 2AM? These guys are super friendly and accommodating. Lives up to the hype. This is the best place in town to get your Westfalia Propane Tank filled. They are super friendly and truly act like they want your business. Most places tend to have one complaint after the other, when it comes to filling a Westy tank, and don't want to bother with a measly 3 gallon fill. I always dread fill up time. Not anymore! I have been to this station a few times. I prefer Chevron because I feel like my car runs better when I use this fuel. Taylor is always helpful here. I'll usually stop in and have a good conversation with her. She seems to always be ready to help customers when they stop in. I particularly like this Chevron branch because of their propane sales. The location is very convenient for me and there is plenty of parking near the propane tanks. The staff has always been attentive and friendly, and every stop has gone smoothly. They have said that they'll give me $5 to recycle an old propane tank but I haven't done this yet. The prices for propane here also make it a better deal than going to the grocery store to exchange tanks. read more

I just got my tanks filled up here for the first time and I am totally sold. The clerk was polite, prompt, efficient, and friendly. Service was fast. I have a hundred pounds of propane all tanked up and ready to go for some epic bonfires and lots of grilling this weekend. It's a bit of a drive getting over here from my house in the Central District, but the service here is SO MUCH BETTER than at the U-haul near my house that the drive is totally worth it. I would much rather spend the extra time coming here for fast, friendly service that leaves me feeling good than ever put up with those grouchy slowpokes at U-haul ever again. read more

While this location provides the convenience of being open 24 hours a day and refilling tanks all day long, the service is awful. I own a mobile food business and need to refill propane tanks on a weekly basis. Everytime I have gone there, which is about eight or ten times, the customer service is pretty bad. They always prioritize the customers inside. I understand, things could get stolen, but propane customers are equally a customer. I went to refill a few tanks the other day and I waited 15 minutes outside with nothing happening because the attendant was helping the customers inside. I think it would make more sense and it would be more fair if they alternated one customer inside and one customer outside or two customers inside and one outside. It's really frustrating and unfair to be made to wait 15-20 minutes because customers won't stop coming into their gas station store. I have continued to go back because I have not searched for other 24 hour locations. I sometimes need to refill at 10 or 11 PM after a food catering event. I shared my frustration this last time I went with the attendant, he wears almost a country outfit with country boots, and he did not receive it well. He just said: well, don't come back and your problem is solved. And I won't. I spend about $150 a week in propane and they have lost my business. read more

Great service station, as service stations go. The sales clerks are attentive and fast, and the store and gas up area is always clean. They keep the window washing gear fresh, too. I have zero complaints, especially since the Wallingford Chevron is only two blocks away so it could not be more convenient. So while the modern measure has changed, the goal of competent efficient customer service remains. The service here was horrible. I was discriminated for being LGBTQ and my husband was treated with a disapproving attitude, he's a Marine Veteran. I have never in my life had an issue with this gas station, I have grown up in Wallingford all my life, for the past 29 years to be exact, and absolutely love my home here. Today's incident was truly a shocking atrocity. I am disgusted with this gas station. The man working behind counter was curious about my husband (who is on R&R) who was wearing his full uniform, and asked if he was my brother. I corrected him and he seemed surprised to see our matching wedding rings. Upon purchasing he called his manager because he suspected my money to be counterfeit. After politely waiting, he stated that "his eyes were tired" and that "there was a mistake." After clearing up the misunderstanding, he then muttered "what a shame" giving me and my husband the side-eyes, as he finished up the ringing. He owed me about $3.20 in change, but told me they were out of one dollar bills, if he could instead pay me in coins, I found it interesting and surely a coincidence, until my husband saw that there were indeed some one dollar bills in the cash register. Upon leaving my husband thanked him and wished him a nice day, to which he replied "whatever". Once outside, me and my husband stopped for 50 seconds to discuss about what had just happened, when suddenly the man burst out and said if we didn't leave he'd tow our parked car, and he then proceeded to say "don't take advantage of your uniform, or your damn gay-lesbian rights". Truly disgusting. I was very disappointed with Chevron. I do not plan on returning ever again. I feel disrespected and humiliated. read more

Out of towners dream! Store front sign drew me in. I went in to pick up the usual on the road necessities and was rewarded with a clean store, stocked full of all the families favorites. Cassandra was my cashier and was warm and friendly and more than happy to give an out of towner AMAZING customer service,and directions!
