I am an…read moreactive Cross Fitter and have often been disappointed with the depth of massage and lack of intuition on the parts that need the most work. Jeremiah has an amazing understanding of the musculature on the body and how it all is put together. He can use insanely deep pressure which I have NEVER found before and is good at providing options if he hits a 'nerve'. Both massages I felt much better than when I arrived....not just relaxed but a sense that more parts of my body were working well. His studio is very cool, in an industrial neighborhood in Georgetown, on a second floor walk-up studio. Quite large and bright. Jeremiah himself seems super sweet and genuine (and no he didn't pay me for a review). Highly recommend for active people that never quite get their muscular pains addressed.

A few months ago, my back pain intensified and I felt like I really needed to get some immediate relief. I planned on seeing Jeremiah, thinking it would be a quick massage to alleviate the pain temporarily and eventually be back in the same pain a few days later, as I always am. Wow, was I ever wrong. Jeremiah is AMAZING! I've honestly never had a professional give me a massage who actually worked towards getting me to feel better permanently and not just temporarily. Of course, he's not a magician nor a surgeon, so it's not like everything will be fixed completely for the rest of my life. However, this was the first time where I felt relaxed and like something was actually done for me after leaving my appointment. Jeremiah is extremely thorough and super knowledgeable when it comes to the human body. He is indeed a true healer and has the Midas touch. :) Also, his place is very relaxing and clean. I appreciate that he has never hassled me about getting me in for more sessions or making me feel as though he is money hungry, like most other places I've been to. He is truly amazing and cares about your well-being. I recommend him to anyone and everyone needing pain relief and someone who genuinely cares.

I have a couple recalcitrant pain areas (some hip arthritis, back pain, and scar tissue from a bad elbow break) and although they are not completely gone, Jeff dug in deep, so to speak, to address the areas with deep massage and stretching. Plus he really believes in empowering clients to work on themselves, and taught me how to do specific stretches and rolling maneuvers with various balls, rollers, and strap so that I could continue the work at home. We encouraged me to make videos of many of these with my phone so that I could remember them, and they have been very helpful. I am very active with running, hiking, and biking, so it is great to know more about how my musculoskeletal system and how to keep it as healthy as possible. Jeff is also very personable and fun to chat with, and you can really feel his commitment and belief in the Soma work, which has clearly helped him a lot too, since he is very active as a rock climber, biker, runner, etc. This guy is the real deal!

We were first referred to Pete to help my daughter with her chronic ankle problems. Pete informed us that concussions can cause your lymph system to get blocked and the lack of being able to drain toxins from your body can have impact throughout your entire body (and in my daughters case, definitely her ankles). She was like a new person after 1 session with Pete.. She went through the whole basketball season without complaining of her ankle issues once (hadn't happened for the previous 3 years). At the end of the season, my daughter took a brutal elbow to her temple and was diagnosed with another concussion. She had extreme bruising for 3 weeks (dramatic really). Yesterday we went to Pete again.. he said things were very stuck and the blood and swelling in the bruised area had no place to go and that we were likely to see improvements. Well this morning my daughter woke up and her bruising was completely gone... not to mention she feels better then she has since the incident. We will definitely maintain a relationship with Pete. He has a very great spirit about him and has me wondering how he can help the rest of my family.

I sent one of my daughters to see Pete; she used to ballroom dance and her hips had bothered her for years, he helped her get aligned energetically and remove the blockage that was making her feel stiff. I regularly recommend Pete to friends that need a massage for self care, post-operative purposes or because of workouts gone awry.

I received my first massage from Joe today. I felt comfortable around him right away, which helped…read moreme to relax. One thing that I definitely noticed is that there was very little chit chat during the massage. Just a little brief chit chat here and there. I appreciated that not only because Joe wasn't too chatty (he and I did chat a little bit here and there, though, which was nice), but because I have received massage from over 70 massage therapists in the Seattle area over the past 20 years, and there are very few therapists that I feel comfortable enough with during the FIRST session to not feel at all compelled to chat with the therapist quite a bit during my massage. I usually want to know who is massaging me! I get curious about the person!! Haha. I can honestly say I've never received a massage quite like the massage that I received today from Joe. I enjoyed some interesting stretches, some neck work that felt very needed, and some great mid-to-low-back bodywork. Part of my Deep Lomi Style massage was done with me positioned side-lying - my favorite position in which to receive massage. I had checked in advance with Joe via e-mail about his safety procedures, and they're sound. He was able to leave the window open (at my request) during my massage, and he had an air purifier going also. He wore a mask for the entire duration of the intake, the massage, and the check-out. The music was soft, not too loud or intrusive, and it provided a lovely background noise. The lighting was perfect for me, I prefer the lighting to be slightly darker in the massage room since it's more relaxing for me that way. Joe checked in about the level of pressure, and he was very open and responsive to my feedback - which he strongly encouraged me to give - about level of pressure, position of my body and head on the table, preference for bolstering, any areas to avoid or go lightly on, type of oil used, and anything else that made the massage experience truly special. I felt that Joe went above and beyond to make sure that I felt cared for and attended to. Usually when I review a massage therapist here on yelp, I explain that I graduated from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2016 - however, I have never practiced massage professionally, since my life ended up going in a different direction at that time. So, I know a bit more about massage therapy than someone who doesn't have this particular educational background. I enjoyed my massage with Touch Factor Massage and Bodywork, I would receive massage from Joe again, and I would highly recommend this business to anyone who wants a truly unique and special massage experience.

Ted has given me 100% of his attention during sessions and always wants to be aware of what's going on physically, spiritually, and emotionally in my life--which makes our sessions just that more tailored and effective.
