I've used Ryan and Devon on two project now, one pretty major, and one that started simple and turned out bigger due to a recalled panel that had to be replaced. Jessica handles their scheduling and is friendly and easy to work with! Will be using them again on future projects, without a doubt!

The…read morechallenge with my setup is that I live in a townhouse where the garage is in the basement and the electric panel is in the guest room on the third floor. I used the bid request feature on Yelp and Jessica from First Day electric was one of the first to respond. She was quick to arrange an estimate inspection. Ryan, her husband and the electrician arrived for the inspection at the scheduled time and gave an estimate which included the cost of drywall repair. After getting quotes from multiple companies, Ryan's quote was the most reasonable and included repair work for the dry wall which others were not offering. I couldn't have been more pleased with the work he has done. I would recommend him and First Day Electric because: 1. I was impressed with how punctual and professional Ryan was before, during and after the work. He arrived on time, explained everything clearly, did a neat job and was spot on with all his estimates and projections on time needed to do the work 2. The installation as well as the dry wall repair was super neat. He chose a path for the wiring through the attic and closets, and did a super neat job of fixing it. 3. Jessica was always available to accommodate scheduling requests and helped set the right expectations. Go with First Day Electric and support a local small business!

I was very unhappy with camera which required an outlet for electricity, it provided no useable data at night! Plus the monthly price was close to $60. Blockwatch camera is wireless and provides more data at night. I purchased the camera and fire alarm from Blockwatch. Hence my monthly cost is $22 a month. I like the apps and felt very comfortable with the team and installation.

I would not recommend doing business with these folks if your appraiser passes your name to them as well.

He was knowledgeable, helpful, and took the time to answer all of our questions. A few weeks later, we visited with Devin to finalize a quote for a Home Security system. He was able to tailor a system to meet the needs of our family at a price that we felt was fair. We had a few minor issues with the installation process but they corrected everything in a very timely manner. Landon was our installer and he proved to be friendly, respectful, and helpful. We LOVE the product and the features available provide peace of mind along with a nice cool factor. We feel that the incentive program to stay beyond the contract along with the referral source is a great one too. Minus the paperwork mishap that should not have happened, our overall experience has been positive. We like the fact it's a local company and their response time has been very good.

The pros at Connect&Protect are the real deal!…read more I wanted 24h security cameras installed and evaluated a few companies and pros. Here's what set them apart: - Responsive and generous with advice on my home security needs even before hiring - Flexible planning and open to feedback. We had a good plan after an initial walkthrough, but even as I changed my mind a couple of times, they were open to discussion and iterating on a final plan with me - Competitive pricing The actual install itself was impeccable. High quality drilling, great wire management. If I had hired a handy man, this is where the work would have ended. But we ran into a complication with networking and the pros at Connect&Protect were able to effectively troubleshoot and fix it. It was a great experience end-to-end. It's clear that the folks at Connect&Protect cares about their customers and truly enjoy their craft. Highly recommended!

I booked this company in early June through an app called "Thumbtack" to install cable drops from my router to my office. After not hearing a response for a couple of days, I should have taken this as a sign, but I called the company to see what the hold up was. My phone call was returned-- and after a polite conversation with the owner, Khalil scheduled me for the 28th of June. between 10 am - 7pm. After about 12 noon, I didn't get a call from anyone so I called, and they said they would see where the tech was, and would call me back. After a few hours, I got a call back from the company and they told me they wouldn't be able to make it-- but had an opening on the 4th of July, and they could get me in. I was skeptical with it being a holiday, but they assured me that they would be there. Well, the 4th came and went, and not only did they not show up, I couldn't get in touch with ANYONE to figure out what was going on. The following Monday, I was called by the company after I left a message to figure out what happened. The owner eventually called me back-- and he apologized profusely and gave me some discounts to things and promised he would reduce my price. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.. (I know) But said he could be out there on Friday, July 18th. Between 10-5pm. As you can probably see, by noon, I got a message from the owner that he was stuck at a job and if he couldn't make it, could we change it again to 22nd of July. I told him that if he couldn't make it, then I would want a refund. I decided to cancel as it continually shows that I am not a priority. I was promised that I would be the first customer first thing on the 18th, but it has shown that he has put me on the back burner again. I also had to call each time, and it took forever to receive any service. I would highly suggest anyone considering them to read this post and be aware. I am currently waiting for a refund that was supposed to take 2 weeks, but they offered a cashier's check, which I accepted. Please don't book this company for any work if you value your money or your time.
