Fountain

Had a great time enjoying the fountain in a hot day like today. This was the first time we come to this area

I've attended a few events here, the most recent being the Carnival of Cocktails on March 8, 2025. It was a fantastic experience with a great selection of drinks and small bites. I also appreciated that the event took place in two different venues--the Exhibition Hall and the Fisher Pavilion. Walking between them, I enjoyed the stroll and the views. Overall, I've had good experiences with events here. Parking options include paid street parking nearby or the parking garage across the street.

Certainly a great place to spend a day! From the Artists at Play area to the iconic fountain to the food court there is something for everyone. Head to the second floor in Food Court for a giant chess game! Enjoy!

There's so much more going on here at the Seattle Center than I ever imagined! Previously known to me only as the location of the Space Needle and the MoPop museum (formerly the Experience Music Project), the center also encompasses the Seattle Children's Museum, Chihuly Glass Garden, Pacific Science Center, Climate Change Arena, Seattle Armory, Seattle Exhibition Hall, multiple theaters and (including McCaw Hall, where ballet and opera performances are held), several parks, a fantastic (and free!) outdoor playground, a truly massive fountain, a meditation garden, a large outdoor sports stadium (perhaps more than one?), at least a dozen restaurants scattered about, and likely a lot more locations and features than our afternoon walkthrough could discover in a single trip. Despite having visited Seattle probably more than 50 times over the course of my life, I couldn't even begin to speculate how many special or annual events are held here. I know the Bite of Seattle and Bumbershoot music festival are two of them, but I am sure that just about every flavor of art, music or culture festival finds its way here throughout the year. Just this last weekend, there was a festival celebrating Mexican independence in the Fisher Pavilion and the stage in the Armory, while a seemingly endless line of tricked-out off-road vehicles bearing Mexican flags and blasting Hispanic music roared down Broad Street towards Pike Place. It was pretty wild! The Seattle Center feels like the artistic, cultural and social heart of this marvelous metropolis, and with good reason. I have never encountered such a dense conglomeration of venues dedicated to the promulgation of community education, entertainment and enrichment anywhere else in the world! When it was designed and built to host the World's Fair in 1962, the plan was for the Seattle Center to exist for "public use forever", and six decades later, there seems to be no sign of slowing its forward momentum.

The Seattle Center is such a great spot to come with friends, family and pups! They have a nice fountain surrounded by grass which families tend to hang around and let the kids play in the water on warm days. I enjoyed bringing my pup here! It's dog friendly outside. There is access to bathrooms which are nicely maintained. The Seattle armory and outside plaza often have events! The Space Needle and Glass Museum are also a short walk away (to enter they cost extra) Love the views and the atmosphere here and would highly recommend visiting!

We spent a lot of time in the Seattle Center, Armory, and area. We were there several time during our trip and took the monorail to and from Westlake Center (downtown) to the Seattle Center. It was home to the Seattle PrideFest and was active before and after. Space needle is located here as well as the MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture). There are nice public restrooms located in the back of the armory if you are looking for any in the area. Recommend visiting the Seattle Center and definitely an active and good place to check out.

My family and I frequent the Seattle Center on a regular basis throughout the year for community events like attending Paw Patrol in the spring, Scooped in the summer, and most recently the Christmas Market and Winterfest. Although this area is surrounded by iconic attractions tourists flock too, there are also so many family welcoming events held for locals to enjoy. I really appreciate how attentive and courteous the staff are, they are constantly checking in with families when passing, ensuring the grounds are clean, and safe for all visitors. The public restrooms within the enclosed area are extremely well kept, clean, and monitored. There is onsite paid parking, and additional parking lots (*if you're visiting* never leave ANYTHING in your car most of the parking lots in Seattle are not monitored.) I highly recommend following the Seattle Center social media pages to keep with the rotating events held throughout the year!

This large area has a layout of a multifunctional park. It got many cultural and educational buildings, there's the international fountain and then of course also the space needle

Seattle Center. Site of the 1962 World Exhibition and home to the Landmarked Space Needle. It's unofficial tagline is Everything is here to experience Seattle. I can see that. So much is crammed into this area and nearby. You have Nice walkable streets, Climate Pledge Arena, McCaw Hall, Pacific Science Center, Museum of Modern Pop (MOPOP), Seattle Center Armory and much more. Seattle Center is said to reside on Indigenous land and the traditional territories Salish people. Acknowledgement of this should reminds us to try and be respectful with all people, in the search for collective healing. It really is a nice civic center for tourists and locals alike to see a multitude of attractions and or events in a relatively small area without having to move about too much. Getting there is fairly easy as it is pretty much in the center of the City. A good way to spend a few hours or more for attractions, check out Seattle Center.

Beyond fabulous! Oh, my what a place to come and spend a day with so much to see and do. The winter train and village set up will fascinate old and young alike for hours. Lots of little restaurants and free Wi-Fi..

I signed up for the Northwest folklife festvival volunteer at Seattle center. It is an independent arts organization that celebrates the multigenerational arts, cultures, and traditions of a global Pacific Northwest. There are so many great live music in mural theatre and you can also have a beer while dancing with the music. It was a lot of fun!

At Seattle's Pokémon Go Fest in summer of 2022.

I paid for my ticket at a nearby ticket booth. There was a short line at the door, a short pre-show presentation in a separate room and then I was seated and strapped into a seat in a relatively small four row (?) theater. At first, I was concerned that I couldn't see the full screen from my seat. Then my seat lifted as the experience began for a breathtaking view. I was flying behind an eagle over many of the various natural highlights of Washington with a couple of scary and fun close encounters with other flying objects. I also experienced the mist of a waterfall and the smell of a field of flowers. It was a great experience!

One thing that seemed to be missing during our ride was the scent effects, which would have added even more to the 4D experience. As a visitor, I also wish they would call out the locations shown during show maybe in pre-show or throughout the ride. Washington has some incredible scenery, and knowing where I was "flying" would have had me adding places to my must-visit list. Still a fun attraction and definitely worth experiencing while visiting Seattle.

That area is such a tourist trap, but it's a must see and a must do when visiting greater Seattle and as a local obviously I like to go down there and explore my city too! By the end it was so stuffy we were sweating with 4 adults and a toddler. No alcohol if riding with a kid or underage person. It was okay. With that said I hope the community comes together to try to save the park because it truly is a Washington landmark! There are very limited hours, the coasters don't open until an hour after the park opens (??), and when they are open, the lines are horrendous. I'm not sure if they ever had 2 trains going on the rides but we stood in line for an hour to get on the Timber hawk... that is Disneyland level wait times for a quarter of the amount of people. It was expensive! The tickets are $70 for a day, which is about 7 hours, but the coasters are only open from 12-5:30. I will say the chicken basket had a lot of chicken but it was also $25. The waters were nearly $7, and alcoholic beverages were almost $20 a drink. The elephant ear was $18. There was trash around all the rides that looked like it had been there for more than one day, and no one enforcing any rules. Fences were broken and leaning, rides were shutdown. I understand that they are closing this year but it's a shame that they are going out and seemingly just giving up on the last season. Would've been a great opportunity to make some great memories for Washington residents and leave on a high note.

Over the years the technology they use doesn't seem to be keeping up, where things will glitch causing lots of time and effort to get the tickets earned reflected on your card. Luckily we took a picture of the ticket rings that were won at the claw machine prior to adding them onto the card, but even after that, it was still a big hassle where management seemed suspicious that we were trying to dupe them out of tickets that were earned properly. What was surprising is that they didn't even bring the staff member over that scanned the ticket rings initially to confirm she had added the tickets. After adjusting the tickets, my card account was still active on the board, so I went back and checked to make sure it was closed out properly to avoid any further ticket issues. I asked the original staff member if she remembers adding my tickets, and she said she did but we should be good now as this was a system glitch. I accepted the explanation and took that as issue closure. Later when we went to pick prizes, another "lead" employee approached me (wish I would've taken her name), and immediately accused me of being rude and aggressive towards the staff member that added my original tickets. As a lead, I would have expected her to ask me if there was any issues with the employee, instead of outright accusing the customer. I asked her to clarify what was taken as rude or threatening, as I never raised my voice or said anything out of line even though this issue took some time to resolve. She wouldn't give me any specifics but just warned me to not be rude. Instead of getting into any further back and forth with her, I decided to just pick a few prizes and leave. I found it very unprofessional for the lead to approach me in that manner, while the Manager Tabitha didn't step in, even being close by. If something was said that was perceived as rude, let's bring everyone together and hash it out. I can guarantee *God as my witness* that I never said anything offensive, threatening, or rude to any of the staff members. All I did was provide details and proof that there was a system glitch and the tickets that had previously been added were not on the card. At no point did I ever blame or fault anyone at FFC for this issue. Rich Yee, if you'd like to discuss this matter with me directly please reach out.

Probably because it is kind of hidden all the way back in the park. Wooden coasters are designed to be shaky and give that going off the rails feeling. It's sad that this one is a lot smoother than the steel one because those are supposed to be much smoother. Some tips. As with any coaster, the best seats are usually all the way in the back where you can feel the full G forces when you go down drops and sharp turns. For this ride, you are not allowed to ride it without shoes. No, there is no camera that takes your pic for you to purchase. There is a small shack at the exit that wasn't open so I assume that would of been it.
