Even more, the fan energy is the best I've seen-- super engaged throughout and positive no matter what, stadium is nearly full every game I've been to, tons of Kraken jerseys, and there's love for the players. Seattle Kraken have brought a much-desired additional sports team to the Seattle area and as of writing this are on a impressive playoff run drawing more fans and making many sports bars very happy. It started in 2018 when the NHL approved Seattle to have the 32nd franchise, two years later the teams name is revealed - Seattle Kraken which I think they did a good job with. The name, colors and emblem are all pretty cool. 2021 They add 30 players in the expansion draft and would play their first preseason game against the Vancouver Canucks. Again, to the present, Kraken are making a playoff run just two years into their inception. Extremely disappointed in my first Climate Pledge Arena and Kraken experience. Sat in section 215 row M seats 11-12. Had no idea we'd have no view of the twin scoreboards. The view of the suites blocking the rest of the arena from our seats is ridiculous. That SUCKED BIG TIME. That whole section up behind those suites looks like an afterthought. No ability to see the big scoreboards. Instead we get to look at some small screen tv's that are hung up as if we were in a sports bar. The screens do not give all the game info needed to be into the game and in the know. No info at all on power plays and times left. Also whoever was in charge of playing music and getting the crowd into the game has no skill in doing so. It was boring. Did not try to hype the crowd. Played techno type music. Mix in some rock and hip hop. My first NHL experience and I am so disappointed. I have tickets in January up in that same area of the arena and I really don't want to go. Those seats suck. I would have never bought tickets in that section knowing you cannot see the "Twins". I am looking forward to a game in April because I'm on the opposite side of the arena but I will never buy tickets up in that section again and will warn friends and coworkers of my disappointment in my experience at my first NHL and Kraken game. We got to our seats last night and disappointment immediately set in! Set the tone for my whole experience. Then the Kraken lost. The loss is not on you, but that disappointing experience is. I would've expected that whole arena to be decorated in Kraken colors. It was bland all throughout the arena. I seen so many opportunities to put Kraken colors or logos all over that arena. But it was all white and bland. Once again disappointed. Outside of the arena are BIG support columns that come out from the arena and those would look Soooooo cool decorated as Kraken tentacles. I'd give my experience last night a 1 out of 4 stars. Those seats were so disappointing!! Being able to see the scoreboards are a huge part of the "fan experience". We had no view of them whatsoever and were relegated to look at screens smaller than what I have in my bedroom. Oh and my tv in my bedroom was mounted more professionally than the screens you have in that horrible section of climate pledge arena. I attended a Kraken game in the Climate Pledge Arena last night. The arena is lovely and the game was fun. But if you have any concerns about Covid transmission, don't go. There is virtually no effort to enforce the mask rule. They made a couple of very low-key, honestly lame, announcements that masks were required, but there was no indication of consequence for people who didn't bother. I sat in the J row of section 19 and there were people all around me who flaunted the mask rule. A family with four kids were directly in front of us in row I and the oldest child, a teenager, didn't put his mask on even once. The parents didn't seem to care, although their other three kids understood the rules. There were people featured on the Jumbotron without masks. I never saw even one arena staff person in the area telling people to wear their masks. What's the point of the rule if there's no effort to enforce? Because of the lax controls, we were double masked and had nothing to drink all night so we didn't take our masks off, given the lax standards. Yes, they asked for vaccine verification but there's a record number of cases happening right now, a lot of them break through. If the state requires masks for these events, it's up to the arena to make sure it happens. read more
