Precision, chill, and style -- all in one chair Got a skin fade from Glen yesterday, and it was one of the cleanest cuts I've had in Seattle. The price is super fair, the vibe's chill, and the shop's right in the heart of Cap Hill. Being in Glen's chair feels like stepping into a precision machine -- every movement calculated, every line exact, no wasted motion. You can tell he takes pride in the craft without overdoing it. Great conversation, great atmosphere, and I walked out feeling sharper than I walked in. Highly recommend. 10/10 read more

The most overly expensive prices in the Capitol Hill area look at any nearby barber for better haircuts for cheaper.

I have never been as satisfied from a barber before (which sounds like a pretty high compliment for a haircut but I mean it). I told her that I was not actually really sure what to do with my hair since it has always been a bit of a mess and hard to deal with so I asked for recommendations. She felt the way my hair stood, found the cowlicks, and let me know what she recommended. It sounded pretty good so I told her to go for it and 20 minutes later I was not disappointed. Most barbers I will need to tell them to touch it up in different ways or keep going but the moment she turned me around I was satisfied. In addition to this, it is just a really cool place in general. Everyone seems to be really laid back and friendly, talking to each other like they have been friends for a long time. People will just come in and put their drinks in the mini fridge there and there is even an Xbox there (though nobody was playing it so I am betting it is for when it gets slow). This place is in capital hill which is way out of the way for me, but I don't think I will go anywhere else from here on out. read more

My boyfriend got his haircut here and it looked great! They took their time and didn't rush at all. Parking can be tricky, but it is a central location in a cool area. It can get messy, but it is a barber shop, so that is to be expected. read more

Good haircut, nice clean barber shop. Nice guys. Got my haircut by African-American barber. As a Black guy I worry sometimes about getting my haircut in a different city. The barber did a great job. Just walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and got a fast haircut. They had large tv's and movies and a game system. I'll definitely come back again next time I'm in Seattle and need a haircut. It's in a busy section of town so lots of places to eat nearby. read more

Just got a great haircut from Sipp!! He asked what I wanted, listened carefully and then worked hard to make sure I was happy with the result. I wasn't clear upfront in explaining what I needed, and he asked good questions to make sure we were on the same page. Took his time, no rushing. I will definitely be back. :-) read more

This weekend my boyfriend obliged my desire to treat him like a real-life Ken doll and let me take him to a black barbershop for the first time! Since this was his first time going to a black barbershop, I took the lead and made his appointment with barber and shop owner Glen Charles. He'd been growing out his hair and beard for the appointment, and it proved a great canvas for Glen to work his magic. Seattle Barber is a dope shop located in the heart of Seattle's Capitol Hill Neighborhood and caters to ALL hair types. What impressed me most, besides Glen's skill as a barber, was the diversity in his shop. I saw a White, Black and Asian barber (not including Glen) and his clientele reflected that same diversity. It's really cool to see a shop that mirrors the diversity of the neighborhood it's located in, as well as being able to offer men of all backgrounds a great cut. Literally ANYONE can walk in and trust that Seattle Barber is equipped to handle their hair type. I know this isn't the biggest issue for my boyfriend (he's white), but as a black woman I know the struggle of having to call around and see if a salon can do your hair. With the constant stream of transplants moving into the city, it's nice to know Seattle Barber can take care of you. Funny Story: While my bf was getting his hair cut, someone called the shop and asked Glen if they could cut black hair. He chuckled before saying yes. Listen folks. The struggle is real for people of color. Cuts range between $23 to $28 with beard services being an extra $5. Walk-ins are accepted, but let's keep it real -- you're better off making an appointment with the barber of your choice. If you'd like to get in with Glen, he recommended booking your appointment a week out via text. Seattle Barber is open Tues-Sat from 12p to 7p and is CASH ONLY!!! read more

Seattle Barber - Hair transformation compliments of Glen @Glen.Charles - Barbers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Came in today after visiting Acme barbershop less than two hours ago & my fiancé's head was f*cked ! We came in & were greeted by Alyssa who saved my fiancé's hair cut ! Out of all of the Seattle "barbershops" we've gone to , to get my fiancé's hair cut this is THE ONLY ONE we'd count as a barbershop. Everyone is so welcoming , friendly & honest . Come here for an honest interaction and leave completely satisfied. read more

I first started going about 3 years ago, the barber I made an appointment with had a family emergency so Frank took care of me...WOW best haircut I've had since living in WA (5 years now) He automatically became my barber from there (even with moving 40min away). I even started taking my step son and he loves the cuts also. Frank has became a family friend and such a relief having a barber that can cut to my liking. Overall, a great family environment, amazing haircuts and perfect service. read more

Received the best haircut I have ever had in my entire life. I recommend this barbershop to anyone, barbers were so nice and took the vision I had to reality. Diverse background for cutting all types of hair. I have white guy hair, but I know they can do others. read more

Zeyra is extremely talented. Not only did she cut my hair above expectations, but she was extremely accommodating. She is flexible with her schedule and willing to come in/stay late to accommodate my work schedule. She made sure that I was comfortable throughout the haircut. She asked several questions to ensure that the haircut was up to my standards and was completed the way that I wanted it. She kept me engaged the entire time and spoke to me throughout the haircut. Her lines are sharp and she used a razor to give me the final touch that I needed. As a black male, it's not always easy to find a barber that I am happy with. But I would gladly return to Zeyra for more haircuts and the Seattle Barber shop is located in a convenient location in the heart of Capitol Hill. read more

Calvin got us in last minute and worked wonders! Thanks for not letting me keep my struggle look going on vacay. 10/10 would recommend!!

Enjoyable vibe and phenomenal barbers who can cut all kinds of hair. Glen, the owner, has been cutting my hair for 6 years and each hair cut has been exactly what I've asked for. Might be the best barber in Washington state. read more

I enjoy the vibe of the whole shop itself. The guys are always cracking jokes which makes the time fly and the music ranges from hip-hop to reggaeton which is exactly my niche. Zeyra in particular is my new go to barber. She is extremely talented when it comes to fading and always asks before trying something new. I have come to her expecting an average haircut and am blown away with how well they turn out. She has a keen eye for that looks appealing and works with you to nail down your look. I have now qualms about going back to Zeyra for all my future holiday cuts. read more

Dope cuts every time! I've been cut by three different barbers at this shop and each time I leave beyond satisfied. Best fades in Seattle. Side note: They always play good music! read more

First off: Playlist on point in this joint. But the real reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is because I had a great experience and a fresh cut from Cherise. it was my first time here as a walk-in and I was able to get in a chair within 10 minutes. She made sure to hear just what I wanted and gave me tips on how to style my hair afterwards. I would definitely come here again. read more

Just moved to the Seattle area so I was nervous to look for a new barber but I came in and Sipp helped me out. I'm usually picky about who cuts my hair but I was really impressed by his work and felt I got a really clean cut. 10/10 recommend read more

If I could give them "0" I would. I have been growing my hair out for over 5 months. Walk in just to get a small trim with everything the same length. Guy gives me some trendy fade that was nowhere near what I suggested. Sides are down to a buzz cut. I was very articulate on what I wanted but he failed to LISTEN to anything I said. The killer thing for me is that it is so drastically different from when I walked in. As a stylist would you ask someone before you completely change their look. Just absolutely terrible experience. They offered a free cut but that isn't the issue. I'd have gladly paid for something remotely close to what I asked. I will not return. read more

Amazing barber shop!!! Highly recommended!!! Glen (the barber) has been cutting my hair for 5+ years and has always done a great job. He finally got around to opening up his own barbershop in Capitol Hill in an awesome location. There's bomb Cuban, Japanese, Korean, and American restaurants all next door. The barbershop it's self and quality is great. Glen is awesome conversation and does great job. He primarily does shorter haircuts like fades but can really do whatever you want. Check out his Instagram to see everything else he does! read more

Updated review: Gerardo isn't there anymore so I have been having Mike clean!me up. Highly recommended, thanks Mike!! I am probably misspelling his name but I think it's Gerardo. Best barber I ever been to. Dude lined me up real nice. Honestly best hair and beard cut I ever had. Plus they will do the straight razor on your neck. Nothing makes you feel more on point than that. Recommending all my people go here. Also, I couldn't believe how good the price was. You will not be disappointed. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. read more

Frank does a great job. I recommend making an appointment close to he beginning of shift, if possible, in order to avoid waiting.

Sipp is the one you want! Came by from CA not knowing what to expect, not to mention being an extremely picky person, Sipp was super patient in working with me to provide the best cut! He even went out of the way to ask me multiple times if what he was going to do was what I wanted. Super patient, super easy going and does what you ask him to do, but not before recommending what he thinks is best. Call Sipp if you want a clean clip read more

Quality of work is on point. These guys and gals can fade and blend like they're lifelong pros. Got a beard? No problem. They know how to treat it with respect, AND they carry a leave-in beard conditioner that smells amazing! Mike hooked me up with that fresh cut and homeboy studies his work as he's going like an Asian kid studies math. Awesome work! read more

I wanted to get my Mohawk touched up so I just walked in . At first I got discouraged because it seemed like no one was going to cut my hair after the one worker that was supposed to do it just walked out saying something about checking his car but it took him forever to come back . Then the very kind owner Glen said Hey Man I'll take you and he was so apologetic and ended up giving me an excellent retouched Mohawk and faceshave . I will definitely go back sometime !! read more

Exactly as advertised. Cool shop, with great dudes that put out excellent fades. My only few experiences so far have been with Ryan, his cuts have been amazing every time. I'm super picky about my barber too. If you're looking for a shop that can work a straight razor, and fade with the best of them. You have to try it here. read more

I just moved to the Capitol Hill Area a few months ago and stumbled into this place. I have to say, Zeyra is one of the best barbers I've ever had. Terrible barbers with horrible customer service. Very rude and unprofessional in addition to bad quality cuts

Some true barbers in this shop! Can't say I've seen any designs or anything but i CAN say that I've seen them do the little things right EVERYTIME. One of the last ol school shops out there. Walked in with a scraggly first-time beard not knowing what the heck to do with it, just knowing I needed to clean it up. Sipp sat me down, asked me a few questions about what I wanted, I gave a few useless, non-committal answers, and he took that and whipped this beard into shape! He also gave me a great haircut to compliment the look. Fantastic. If you get Sipp, you are in for a treat. read more

Great spot for haircut and beards, best I've found in Capitol Hill and surrounding area. Ask for Sipp, does great work, tight lines, etc.

This place was fantastic. When I moved to Seattle I was sure nobody here could cut black hair. Yet I was blown away by the atmosphere and service I received from the team here. Glenn played amazing music and was able to give my fro a great tapered fade. I will be back here again for sure. read more

I found Sipp through a recommendation made by my friend, and he's now the only person that I trust to cut my hair. He's attentive and creates the designs and styles that I describe to him.
