Located just inside from "Restaurant Row" Seaside Day Spa is the newest nail salon in countryside mall. Nice, spa-like atmosphere. Much less hectic than Hollywood nails, also located in the mall. They offer manis, pedis and also massage though I don't know if they have a table or just the chair. The pedi chairs still feel new so the motors aren't too worn out and you can get a pretty nice massage. The ladies all seemed friendly. I was made to feel welcome at 7:00 on a Saturday when my nail tech was most likely winding down from a long day. The polish selection is awesome. They have something for everyone! I asked that my friend get a discount due to poor service and was fought with. We left with poor service and my friend had bleeding fingers and gel nail polish glopped on her fingers. Seaside is the newest salon in Countryside Mall. It's located downstairs across from Bar Louie and the other restaurants. I haven't been getting manicures regularly lately, but decided to stop by today and check it out. At first I scoped out the other salons in the mall to see how busy it was. Due to it being a Saturday afternoon, all of them had a significant wait, so I came down here to Seaside and was pleased to see that there was no wait! I selected my polish (they have a great assortment of shellac colors) and the tech started on my full set. The environment is very nice here, much nicer than many other mall salons. The decor is a nice beachy theme but it is also very modern and clean here. Bonus points to them for having HGTV channel on the TV! The tech did a good job with my nails and I noticed all the employees here speak English very well, which is nice so you can explain to them any specific requests. They were friendly also. My nails came out pretty well and the prices are on average. My only complaint is that he did not push up my cuticles before starting the full set, so now my nails will look grown out a bit sooner. I'll be sure to mention it next time so I can avoid that. Overall, very nice salon. I would recommend it and will be back myself. read more

This place sucks. I've been here 3 times and every time is a disappointment. Not to mention the girls had a terrible attitude. I asked if she could do 1 more coat on my red nails so they're rich and deep and not shallow. She she looked at my like I asked her to redo everything. Took her less than 2 minutes to do one more coat and she would have had a happy paying customer but nope. Not to mention my nails are all slanted. They weren't slanted when I walked in. I live across the street from this nail place. Every single time I've come in here, they've lied to me about how long it'll be before someone can do my granddaughter's nails. There are plenty of other places in the mall, for the same price that are honest about how long the wait will be. The receptionist is so arrogant when you complain about waiting 45 minutes instead of only 10 like you were told! I will never ever spend another dollar of my hard-earned money in this place! Terrible service, chipped a nail and they wanted to charge $3 again, after couple days. They also didn't comply with the time frame...I walked in 10am, first customer. I needed pedicure and fill. I told them I had to leave by 11:30am. Plenty of time they said. At the end, I walked out 11:30am but without nail polish. No time left to paint and dry my nails. I was allowed to come back later for nail painting. So I went back couple days later. That is when I needed a chipped nail repair and the promised painting. They charged me $3, are you kidding me... terrible service. They should have waived the fee as a courtesy for. Ot complying within the time frame and for my extra trip back to get my already paid for nail painting. Oh...to top it of that...when I wanted to pay the $3 nail repair, they told me they would charge me $1 extra for paying with credit card. I didn't have cash on me, so I had to go to my car. I could have totally left without paying, but I had the courtesy to go back, as an honest person and paid $3 cash. At that point, the manager who charged the $3, could have totally said...never mind...you don't have to pay $3 as a service from our behalf. I have been a customer at this salon for over 5 years and take my parents and daughters there all the time for a nail spa treatment. I have been go in to the Seaside Spa at the Countryside Mall for a number of years. Tia and her staff are extremely helpful and always welcoming. I have recommended many friends to go there as well and now they are regulars. Even my husband got in on the action with regular pedicures. I came here because the other salons were swamped. I was a bit skeptical because it was not as busy but I was pressed for time. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the receptionist who was curt when I asked helped finding a color that I had seen on Pinterest. Once we found the color she made a comment that all I had to do was look myself which was very rude. I normally would have walked out but my feet were in dire need so I let it slide and I'm glad I did. My pedicurist was Kai, he was amazing. He didn't speak great English so it was a little difficult to communicate but his work was outstanding. My feet look gorgeous. I'm glad I opted for the regular pedicure rather than the express, it is $5 more and worth it. He gave me a hot stone massage that was absolutely heavenly and made my feet look.fabulous. For that, this place deserves 5 stars. I will definitely be back to see Kai and his hot stone massage. read more

Huge sign in front window advertising $20 pedicure special. I got a pedicure and I was charged $25. When I asked about the cost, I was told I didn't SAY I wanted the special. Seriously? But the deceptive overcharge wasn't the worse part. As my feet were soaking, the tech dropped three tools she had just used on my feet in my pedi basin. It was uncomfortable as they floated around and kept hitting my feet. She actually told me that was how they "cleaned" the tools. Gross. Unsanitary. I've went here several times because I really liked the way they did my acrylics. The first time was awesome until I went to pay. I had 2 broken nails but I was getting a fresh fill anyways. The girl suggested I let her take off the nails and start with s fresh new set. Ok, I agreed and knew I would be charged for a new set. I had gel polish applied and also had a pedicure. I really liked the selection of gel polish they had as well. When u went to pay however I was shocked! She failed to tell me she was charging me to remove my nails do she could put new one on. She also charged me for a full set and then another $15 for gel polish. For my gel acrylic set & pedicure was $80! It did last very well so I decided to try them again. I figured the prices would be better as a return customer. Nope, it was slightly better but still $70. Seems crazy for a pedicure and gel fill. I then went in with a friend and our nails did not last. They charged me $76 for a gel fill & pedicure. They came off within a week. They do not guarantee their services either. That was my last time going. Pricing is very inconsistent and so are services. It's hit or miss here and you never know what your being charged, be careful! read more

I brought my disabled friend in for a girls day with gel manicures. A man sat in front of her and began taking off her polish. He asked if she was able to put her hands in the light machine that they use to set the gel polish. I told him yes, but he should guide her hand in to prevent her bumping a nail on the side. He stated he wasn't sure he would be able to do her nails. She is not physically disabled and has full range of motion so I was confused. I replied that if he did not feel he could serve her needs to please not go any farther and allow someone else to do it. He sat for a few moments in silence then began removing her polish again. A moment, seriously one tiny moment later he informed me he was not able to work with her. She was doing as asked and holding her hands out for him perfectly. I am still unclear why he was unable to work on her nails. This is a task this lady has been doing 2 times a month for the 20 years I've known her, so she knows what to do. I asked who else could work on her nails. He responded that she would have to wait until I was done and my tech could do it. Needless to say we immediately left this establishment and went elsewhere. This was clearly discrimination based on her being a developmentally disabled person! We will never return... read more

There are so many salons in the mall so I wasn't sure which to choose. At first I was skeptical to go in but The shop was beautiful & well kept so I decided to try it out. The staff was great. I was greeted immediately & everyone seemed to be in great moods. I had a fill & w/gel. Everything was perfect, I'm super picky so to walk out without asking for something to be fixed is extremely rare. They have a ridiculous amount of regular colors as well as gel options . I can only hope this helps in making a positive change to this place: I use to get my pedicures done here by one female tech. who did such a great job, I felt like I only wanted her to do them. I've heard bad things about it and didn't understand why because I was happy with my nail tech. DESPITE the fact I would have to sit and wait literally 25-30 minutes to start my pedicure even after I called each to time to make an appointment and had NO apologies for it. I liked my nail tech, so I let it go. Then I started artificial nails and they did ok. However, this place is overpriced. You can get the same thing somewhere else for much cheaper and MUCH BETTER service. I then decided to take the artificial nails off and this one particular female employee who must be above the rest of them, has ALWAYS been rude since day one, has no warm feel to her at all and doesn't give a sh**t what you think about it, she started to pry my artificial nails off!! I said you're going to rip my nail off shouldn't they be soaked?! She says "well how long do you want to be here"(excuse me??) It took 45 minutes for them to soak my nails off and then tells me its $10. I said is it the same if you would have pried them off?! She said yes! Unbelievable. Then asks if I want a manicure or gel, anything. I asked how much is a regular manicure, she says $15. so that's, $10 to remove the nails and $15 for a simple manicure and for this horrible service?! I said no thank you. She said she would clean my hands up a little. I ended up leaving with the ugliest hands I've ever seen. She did nothing for them and I paid for it. I said I would NEVER go back. NOW I notice I have FUNGUS in my finger nails eating away under my nail bed and from that place, whatever they did or how they did it. Ill never go back. Everyone else needs to know this so they can understand that this place doesn't care about you and you can get more out of your hard earned money somewhere else. I did a facial, manicure, pedicure and a Swedish massage. The manicure and pedicure was nice. The chairs are comfortable, they provided water and the people are friendly. However, the facial is not worth the money. It felt like they just put a whole bunch of liquid on your face and rubbed it around. I didn't see any difference with my before and after look. As I have done this many other times in Hawaii and could always notice the difference. Your face feels cleaner and fresh. Mine didn't feel that way here. Their swedish massage is done in the back room, which is a nice size, and comfortable. You can hear the noise outside so it wasn't as peaceful as it should have been but I didn't mind cause I was going to get me a massage. Unfortunately, the lady took it upon herself to do a deep tissue massage when I had said Swedish. She focused on one of the knots in my back under my shoulder blade, which is fine as I have had this happen before and know that they are just trying to ease the knot and relax the muscle. But when I left their I felt really sick which is normal but I also felt pain in my back when I left. I thought the pain would go away but it has been two months and I still have pains in my back where she focus primarily on and it feels like its traveling to my shoulders. I have schedule me a Dr. appt to see what is going on and why I am in so much pain. Wouldn't recommend doing anything else but mani and pedi. read more

I have come here multiple times in the past because it is right near my house and is convenient. I like that the offer multiple options of pedicures. That being said, I have (on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS) come here and selected the deluxe pedicure, for $30. (My boyfriend and I go together.) he always gets fought over (the girls love doing his feet, which is fine with me) but it seems that they do a great job trying to impress him, while I do not get the same level of service. They scrub his feet with the pumice bar and now FOR 2 DIFFERENT occasions they have failed to do so with my pedicure, even though I need it much more than him. Unfortunately, he and I usually spend this time talking so I don't notice until I get home and still see dead skin on my feet after the lotion they use is worn off. My nail polish is splotchy and thin, (which couldn't be noticed under the harsh florecent lighting in the salon.) I would NOT reccomend going here to anyone. I am a firm believer in giving multiple chances, but this is the last straw. No one should pay $35 for 1 pedicure (and we're paying for 2) to get half of the work done that should be. Also if 2 people come in together, they should get the same service. Instead, my boyfriend gets treated like royalty, while I get the dirty looks, and treated like a peasant in comparison. Beyond disappointed first time at this location because I received a gift certificate from my husband to get a shellac manicure and pedicure and they just rushed through. Barley worked my cuticles and my nails just look terrible they look chunky and thick.
