He was late to his appointment exactly 15 minutes (he works in Wasilla and was driving from there). We both attempted to call starting at 5:30p to let the therapist know he was on his way. When he showed up, the lights and door were shut. I received an email that was very condescending and humiliating pretty much insinuating that we looked like "scammers" (yes, she called me that). Never once did anyone call us - not one single phone call. And on the day we were late, the therapist never called or checked messages. Just left and charged us the full amount. I am appalled at the way they handled this. This isn't about the money. This is about making a new client feel down right humiliated. I'm still in shock at how rude they were in their email and the fact that they never responded back to me. Shame on you for treating a new client like this.

Warning - at some point the therapist is likely to get on the bed to grab the bars on the ceiling to massage you with their leg/feet! This isn't unheard of in Asian massages but more novel for Western massage. Barefoot massage has broken that barrier for Alaska I think - and let me tell you it feels good, especially if you need that additional pressure. For me it's important to have a feel of cohesiveness, trust, & comfort; especially when dealing with the vulnerability that you have to kind of surrender during a massage. My husband and I had a couples massage that was purchased off of Groupon. He was paired with Tammy and I Travis. Travis hit areas that I had no clue I had pain in. You can tell he really listens to your body's reactions in response to his manipulations. He worked a lot with pressure point release while still maintaining a fluidity of movement.
