My wife and I visited this clinic before deciding where we would fill our eyeglass prescriptions. It was here or Costco. As it turned out, we went with MC Family Eye Center (MCFEC, this clinic). They were very professional and worked through my indecision with me. My wife knew what she wanted (Zeiss). Anyway, the staff and docs were great and we will be back. If either of us need a cheaper second pair of glasses as a back up, sure, we'll consider Costco again. However, Costco does not cold mount lenses. That's important to know if you bring your own frames. I'll be asking MCFEC if they do. If so, it's a one-stop shop with a lovely lobby and decent choices for frames. Five stars. ;)

In my 37 years living on this earth, I have never been sued. I got a 4 page court summons for... guess how much... $103.00 balance. This whole excessive threat has been quite an overwhelming experience for me personally. I highly encourage everyone to be cautious with their aggressive billing tactics and understand what you're getting yourself into. Or just avoid them and find another "family" oriented eye care professionals in the North Seattle area. Just a friendly warning from a very friendly patient.

We ended up at LensCrafters when we couldn't find a kid's glass at my optometrist's location. We…read morepicked up a nice frame from here - we got a great deal. I was super happy. they had a deal going on at the point and I could get another backup glass for less than $150. After a month, we picked up that as well. It was all great. We visited in between for some adjustments and they did it so well. Now when it comes to my glasses, I picked up a frame, they checked my insurance and they did the math - it came around $600. I asked the guy who helped me why it's that costly, I had never paid more than $200 for my glasses ever. He said there are some changes to my prescription and for those glasses my insurance is not covering much. He showed me a few options and finally I ordered mine. I went there again for another pair - this time a reading glass - nothing fancy. It was another person who helped me this time. With a decent frame, it came around $400. I was curious when I saw that amount. He mentioned that my insurance is charging out-of-netwok - that's the reason the cost is high. Then I asked him to check my order - which is already in processing. He confirmed that I was charged the out of network rate - which the first person never mentioned it to me. I ended up canceling that order and did my orders elsewhere - costed me $145 and $120. I never understood why they hid the fact that insurance is charging at out-of-network rate. I understand that customer may not have checked whether LensCrafters fall under in-network or out of network. These are grey areas which change every year when you renew / change the insurance. Why don't they show the minimal courtesy to inform the customers about these details. You may get a few orders, but how long will you get on with it??? Never again!

Why the 3-star reviews from everyone? I just had an amazing experience with Josh (btw, a 17-year…read moreemployee in this LensCrafters location.) Not only was he extremely knowledgeable of how glasses should fit, but he wasn't afraid to suggest a different frame if it didn't "look right" for my face. He shared the benefits of bi-focal (over my habit of having reader-only glasses and a separate pair to correct my normal vision.) It was a GREAT experience from the minute I arrived till the time I left 90 minutes later. Best of all, he was very patient!
