I bought a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses there a few weeks back. I recently had an issue with my regular Ray Bans bought at the former Everett location of Pearl Vision and took to Lynnwood for a basic repair yesterday. I was told they would not order the part or do repair because I bought this pair in Everett and not the Lynnwood store. I said I just bought my new sunglasses at the Lynnwood store but the rep said it doesn't matter and they won't help with my repair. I said "You are Pearl Vision, so why can't you repair my glasses?" She again said because I bought them from a different Pearl Vision. In other words if u are traveling out of state and need help with your Pearl Vision glasses for a minor thing, like a lens fell out, they will tell u to get them fixed back in WA where u bought them. I'm done with Pearl Vision forever and will share my experience with everyone I can. I'm in need of a repair and was told to call Ray Ban directly and get the part myself. Then I will need to remove the old part and install the new one myself after buying the tools to do it. Awful policy and awful service!! If I bought my glasses at Pearl, any other Pearl should step up and help me with the repairs. I expect to pay for it but they just abandoned me and told me to deal with it somewhere else. Today i went to pearle vision, it is my fifth time for going since they didnt make my glasses right. Sometime last year, i got glasses there and i could not see read clearly from the glasses, i asked for correction. I was asked to redo the eye exam paid additonal 40 dollars and then my eye glasses were adjusted. however, the eye glasses were still not proividing good reading sight and i went again. then i got denied says it passed one year time frame. but the truth is i spent so much time to schuedle eye exam, re-exam, send in glasses, pick up glasses, and revisiting the store is already tiring. if they could make the glasses right at first time, everything wont be happening. It is pearle vision's responsiblity to make glasses right at first time yet they refuse to take responsibility. today i went to alderwood mall in lynnwood,wa. there was a blonde lady at her 30-40's asked me to leave becuase i argued with her about the eye glasses. She even threatening me for calling the security because i argued with her. I am not sure if this is correct attitdue to customer and pearle vision wont make your glasses right. they just refuse responsibility for correcting the glasses. read more

Nutshell: Do not go the one at Alderwood mall. Some may be ok but defenitely do not go here. Waste of time and money. Went here with my 8 year old - got a prescription bought the glasses etc in the summer. Start of school all the kids got their vision checked and my daughters glasses appeared to be the wrong presciption. Got a referal from my pediatrician for a different optometrist - result yep Pearle got it wrong. Called Pearle - got told oh no problem just come on down show the correct prescription and we will remake them free of charge - today I got to be stuck in Chrismas shopping traffic to get there to be told "Oh I don't know who you spoke to but we don't do that". read more

Over priced store that is understaffed and in definite need of better sales people who can suggest and help you find a frame that fits your style and your face!!!!!!!!It is a definite turn off to walk into a store this expensive and not to get greeted or helped and just have a bunch of antisocial,non helpful, people standing around or sitting and looking at you having to beg them for an opinion and them knowing that there not telling you the truth because they are bitter and underpaid. Coupons are worthless here also they don't do a good job with adjustments!!!! How I wish I would've read these reviews before setting foot in this business! From our first 5 minute encounter, we were told that we were not covered for prescription glasses under our insurance. We walked out, confused. But when my husband double checked, we did, in fact have coverage for prescription glasses and an eye exam. We returned 10 minutes later, and the person then apologized and said she did not type in enough numbers!! INCOMPETENCE!!! After she confirmed we did in fact have coverage, I picked out frames and scheduled my appointment for an eye exam the following week. The next week, for my eye exam, Dr. Christine Le, conducted my eye examination. She first asked me when was the last time I had an eye exam. I replied I wasn't sure, but guessed maybe 5 or 6 years ago? I also added that after having a physical a few weeks, prior, my primary care Dr. advised me to get an eye exam due to my age. Dr. Le responded " So you don't know when your last eye exam was, but you have a physical and your Dr. says go get an eye exam... and NOW you get your eyes examined?' Her tone was very condescending, harsh and scolding. I explained that I had no obvious vision issues, which is why I had no concerns about my eyes. She explained her findings after my exam and urged me to go see an eye specialist. Dr. Le informed me that I may have an onset of early glaucoma, and cataracts, and if I didn't see an eye specialist for a glaucoma evaluation ASAP, that I may go blind, and still using the same rude, scathing and arrogant tone. When I left there, I was devastated and freaked out hearing such harsh unexpected news that I had a complete meltdown and cried very hard. They told me my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. Two weeks passed, and we received no messages that my glasses were in. After the 3rd week, my husband called and was told that my glasses had come in 3 weeks ago and a text message was sent to inform us. NEVER EVER did we receive this message, nor did they even call back. Today I went to see the eye specialist, getting a thorough glaucoma evaluation and eye exam. This Dr. said, I may possibly have slight beginnings of cataracts, but nothing that needed immediate attention. He also added that its possible that just my anatomy might explain the thinness of my retinas. He reassured me that nothing was urgent, gave me one more exam to check other details, but definitely that I should check back with him in 6 months to be sure. Less than 10 minutes of leaving the establishment, he called and said the last thing he checked looked good and everything was normal. Comparing today's exam to the exam with Dr. Christine Le was like night and day. Dr. Le absolutely needs retraining in her bedside manner. I have never encountered any health professional that treated me with such curtness, disrespect and disdain in my entire life. Now that I have my glasses and an eye vision professional that shows true empathy and compassion for a first time patient, I will NEVER EVER return to Pearle Vision and specifically Dr. Christine Le. A true professional health care worker who shows no empathy or compassion for their patients is a disservice and disgrace to the health care industry. This place was great! I came here because I had a bad experience at Lake Stevens Vision clinic in the same parking lot (they tried to tell me I didn't have vision insurance, which I did). Floor associate was very attentive and Dr. Fleming was very friendly. The whole process was very smooth. It added up a little more quickly then I was expecting it to, but that was because I opted for a camera to take pictures of my eyes instead of doing the drops, my insurance didn't cover for a fitting which I didn't realize (I wish I would have known that sooner instead of at the end), and they also only covered a certain amount towards my contacts. I did however get a rebate, which will be nice so with that they will have been mostly covered. There are probably cheaper places you can go but insurance is such as hassle and having terrible vision is always going to cost you in some way although insurance does help. Luckily you only have to go once a year and next year it will hopefully be cheaper because I don't need the fitting or the test. I certainly wasn't going to go back to Lake Stevens Vision which was the other place covered by my insurance! I plan on going back to this place next year for glasses. read more

And was told " oh we got your text + voicemail, you can't be seen" when I got there. Then was told my appointment was earlier when my voicemail says other wise. Go somewhere more clear and organized. At least respond to your patients/ clients when they call or text if you have seen their message. read more

I called to make the appointment over the phone and made sure they understood I was coming in for an appointment for contacts, they quoted me $150 until I got there and they change the price to over $200 because they said that I'm also getting appointment for glasses. I've come here several times for glasses. I wish there was an easier, less expensive option, but I don't have the time to put forth the effort to shop for glasses. My prescription is complicated and my lenses have prisms so that really limits my options. Be that as it may, whenever I come in for glasses, the staff is friendly and helpful. They allow me to shop at my pace, and I'm allowed to take as many frames to try on as I want. They take my picture with each frame and offer good opinions to help me make my decision. I wish that my glasses could be created faster, but short of that, the entire process goes rather smoothly. read more

She sat with me and gave me her opinions on frames for me. I appreciated her honesty. My time at the "doctor" was seamless. My appointment was at 2:30 and I was in and out in 15 minutes! Bought glasses here 3yrs ago. No issues. I came here a day after getting a new RX and the lady said they couldn't look up benefits bc my insurance was "locked" by the dr. I've never heard of this, and the lady showed me the screen (as if I understood the program). I found some glasses and put them on hold. This was on a Saturday. I came back on Tues, an hour before closing, thinking my glasses weren't still on hold. The lady found them and was annoyed and said, "here they are, but next time come back sooner." She walked off and so I looked around more. No one offered to help or look up benefits, etc. So finally I walked up to the lady and she goes, "sorry I just clocked out." The other lady was with a family who showed up after I did. I tell her that I've been here waiting and she proceeds to argue that I wasn't ready. She kept arguing in front of myself and the other family. I kindly say, "I understand, I'm not here to argue. Have a good one." read more

I want to say first of all the employees at Pearle Vision are amazing. Very kind and welcoming as is the receptionist of the eye exam. Now let's get to the reality why I rated them a one. Dr. Le does not care about her patients. She wants to add on all the extra eye tests that is not covered on insurance. Her eye exam was quick and as far as I am concerned not complete. I went back three times to get the correct contact prescription, which I never got! Every time I went in to fix the prescription she would have me look at her computer screen and ask me what I could see. Dr. Le then would give me new contacts to try and that was it. After having headaches and eye strain I went to another Optometrist. All three prescriptions were wrong! I also want to sat that the receptionist is so overworked that trying to get a return call is near impossible. Do not get an eye exam here. read more

This review is for their eye exam. They insist on a "contact fitting exam" fee. It's the same size every time. So instead of the 20.00 co-pay I expect to pay, they charge 65.00 since insurance doesn't cover the "fitting". Insurance doesn't cover the fee because it is a total scam. The frames here are pretty limited. They are not cheap and they aren't high end. I had a pretty rotten experience here. I would guess that is very common. read more

So...the e-mail reminder I had received told me to arrive 10 min early for my paperwork...I was there early, but they didn't open the front until 10am, which was my appointment time. But no biggie...I'm laid back and patient by nature, and I allowed plenty of time for my appointment. My provider was Chelsie Russ, and she was awesome. I explained that I had a mishap with my last pair of contacts, and as a result, I was forced to suffer with my "emergency glasses" for the past 3 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when she offered me a pair of contacts at the end of my visit in the interim period while I waited for my new contacts to arrive. YAY! I was so happy. It made my day. Also, I was astonished that a year's supply of contacts only cost me just under $50! I didn't know my insurance was so awesome. Overall, I had a pleasant first experience. I was in and out fairly quickly, and everyone who helped me was friendly and courteous. read more

This place had the worst customer service. All these negative reviews are true and correct. I had my eye exam Sept. 2022, waited for hours to have my exam done though you have booked for appointment by phone. Their reason, Dr. was on break and took awhile eventhough it's way past the breaktime. But still waited patiently until I have purchased my glasses. It was way overpriced compare to my previous Optical. Cameback when I received a voicemail that my glasses are ready for pick-up. Called them a week after because I have been experiencing unusual headaches & vomiting with my new prescription. They asked me to comeback to the clinic to have my eyecheck again. A different Dr. prescribed sample contact lens (but they still let me pay $60 co-pay for the samples because they said it was not covered by insurance). Only to realized when I reach home, saw that 1 box of contact lens was already expired. So I called again, they asked me to comeback to the shop to get the new set of contact lens. The following day, they asked me to comeback after 30 mins. as the receptionist was still on break. Later on, the attendant (Romina) told me that it will take another week or two to fix my glasses. I cameback a week after to check what is going on as I did not received any call about the status of my glasses and will be going for a trip in the next few days so I need my new glasses. Romina get my number because she said she will update me on the status. Fast forward, cameback from my trip November 2022 after Thanksgiving holiday. I got busy with work and forget about my glasses until December 2022 which is Christmas holiday. I never received any call or email that entire time about the status of my glasses. I cameback to the store January 2023, 2 months plus after I purchased my glasses and I didn't got any call from them. When I was in the store, the attendant (Romina) told me she will reorder my glasses & should be ready in a week. Giving me a lot of reasons that they have phone problems so on and so forth. I was already pissed off and too tired to argue with her anymore. So, I just told her I need a refund for my glasses. This optical shop does not care about their customers that explains a lot of negative reviews about them. So, please if you have other options don't go here. This review is based on the fact I have no insurance for my eyes and my experience with trying to use my Groupon. You may have a better experience if you have insurance. I bought my Groupon for $40 and it was worth $225 towards eyeglasses and lenses. Going in, I had to pay out of pocket $115 JUST for my eye exam. Dr. Lee was very nice and good at her job. However, when I was done with my eye exam, I went to go pick out glasses. The cheapest ones I found were about $190. The lady trying to sell me the glasses said that because my left eye has such a higher prescription, I need this and that (extra $200) to make sure my eye isn't so magnified and to prevent glare (understandable) BUT what I still don't seem to understand is that even WITH MY GROUPON, my glasses and frames would be a total of almost $500!!! NOT including my eye exam I just paid $115 for. SOOOO, I obviously am not gonna spend $600 on an eye clinic visit, so the lady tells me I can bring my own frames in and they will put the lenses in for me. So when she tells me this, I think I can use my Groupon, right? Nope. The next time I come after buying glasses online, a different lady tells me I can't use my Groupon unless I buy the frames AND lenses there. At this point I'm annoyed and regretting ever going here. So I go across the street to Americans best lenses right next to H- Mart and spend a flat $150 to get my glasses prescribed (even with all that extra anti glare stuff). I can't get a refund on my Groupon either so I spent so much unnecessary money and it's a little frustrating. I would definitely go somewhere cheaper if you don't have insurance. ALSO, thought it was funny that the ladies trying to sell you glasses tell you they're giving you a "discount" but there's a sale price already marked.. but when she tried telling me she was giving me a deal, she was discounting the regular price even though there was already a sale price so I could obviously see she wasn't giving me a real discount lol. read more

Cassie could not have been more helpful! I came to the Alderwood location to get some prescription safety frames for work. Cassie went through all the options that fit me and met my work's requirements. The pair I chose arrived on time. Unfortunately, due to my prescription the shape of the lens caused some eye strain. Cassie went above and beyond to get the problem solved. She triple checked all the measurements and prescriptions to verify everything was correct. She was able to get me into a set of frames that are very comfortable. I feel it's rare to find the level of service she provided. I would be unequivocally confident to recommend anyone to visit this location. read more

Note: This review relates to the Optometrists office and NOT the eyeglass store. The eyeglass store is decent and helpful. Arrived for a Sunday appointment and were told with insurance (Premera Blue Cross) they would need to verify our individual coverage on a business day and so we would need to pay first and then be reimbursed when the insurance was processed. One month later I learn that no insurance claim was submitted because "they had a lapse in accreditation until June" with Blue Cross and they for the moment were not a preferred provider and could not process our insurance. And that all they could do was give me an itemized bill for me to submit it as an out of network doctor. Had we been properly informed I would have not gone through with the appointment and would have seen another doctor with proper in network accreditation. I can't comment on the quality of care but their office staff are rude, uninformed, and apparently will lie to you about insurance and billing. read more

I had "my" glasses made here two years ago. They gave me the wrong prescription. They said they mixed it up with someone else who ordered the same glasses. The prescription was similar to mine so I just thought it was me not being able to adjust to my prescription. 2 months later I realize that they are indeed not my prescription. They admit to the mistake when I tell them( you'd think they would want to resolve it and be proactive.) so today my mom goes to get her prescription filled for new glasses here and they quote her $630 with insurance..... ugh what? And the lady tried explaining it but kept on confusing herself and going back and forth trying to figure it out. So my mom left. She went to Costco instead where they are out of network and cover less,but they cost less than someone who's in network( makes lots of sense,NOT). This place needs to be reorganized and find a better system and retrain staff with verification of benefits. I used to do VOB's, it's not simple but if they were better organized they'd be able to explain to the customer why everything is the way it is. read more

This place does not take typical insurance..so I bought my 600.00 glasses AND paid cash for contacts. I did not pay the extra for coverage for my frames since I'm not hard on them, big mistake. The right arm of the frame just fell out, all I did was pick them up. Took them back, do you think they would even talk to me about them? nope!! Went in for an exam and to get new frames. Picked frames that felt comfortable on my face but by the time they came back with lenses, the staff couldn't fit them comfortably to my face no matter how many times I went in. Gave up finally. I won't go back. I'm not super impressed with their selection anyway. Here's an even bigger beef I have. Once you've been for an eye exam they put you on an automatic system that sends you a tentative eye appointment every year. Then they email and snail mail you reminders that you have an appointment that you never asked for. How positively annoying! I go for an eye exam about every 3 years so this is just a ploy to try to get your money. Every time I have to call the office and say, "I didn't make this appointment and I'm not coming." My husband used them and now they're sending him postcard reminders of an appointment he never booked. What a racket. read more

I'm so disappointed in this place. I came here for an eye exam, because my boyfriend had one here. I saw Dr. Lamis and fitted me for contacts and glasses. Afterwards, I ordered my glasses and waited two weeks for them to come in. When they finally came in, it turned out they messed up the prescription on the lens so I had to wait another week. Then to make it worse, it turns out Dr. Lamis gave me a prescription that's worse than my last one (which I will take some blame, because I couldn't find the old prescription until later). Now I have to wait until next year when my insurance renews my vision benefits to reconcile my problems. read more
