I've gone to Walmart vision the last few times while I was unsettled, it was just easiest because there's was always one around. Now that I'm in a place I'll be for a while, I wanted to find someplace to keep coming back to and get familiar with. After looking around, I decided on Bella Vision. Each and every one of the staff was kind and helpful. I interacted with four or five of them. I brought in my new patient form and they were pleasantly surprised I had been prepared. Some places in the past would get annoyed if you weren't, but here they were fully prepared to help you get started. I got the rest of the paperwork from one girl, and handed it to another once I finished- who were both just soft and polite. I was early, so I took a look at the frames while I waited and was helped by another woman to pick out a different color in my selection. She was totally willing and ready to look at each and every color if I wanted. So grateful for their patience. I saved her some time and asked what the blue ones were and got that picked out before I was called back. The beginning tests were quick, and the woman doing them was just as kind as the rest. Finally I went back to see the doctor. All-in-all I was running on time, so I was happy, but my high recommendation polishes off because this was the first doctor to really sit down and tell me what was wrong with my eyes. The first Walmart doctor I had gone to had said it looked bad, but barely explained the full extent. So, for years I went around not knowing how scarred my eye is, and thinking it was just bad astigmatism. I'm so glad to feel like I really know what's going on with my vision and feel like the whole staff cares. read more

BUYER BEWARE! BOTTOM LINE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON FRAMES Bella Vision in Bothell displays dishonesty and unethical practices from the time you arrive. I would strongly encourage you to find another company other than Bella Vision in Bothell for all your vision needs. If you are strictly looking for frames, they are not refundable; there are no signs stating that anywhere in the store. It is also not mentioned when you are checking out. Nikki, the store manager at Bothell Bella Vision requested that I fill out a form the day I bought the $200 Ray Ban frames. I didn't feel it was necessary so Nikki stated "I did not have to fill it out"; it was never mentioned that it was a warranty. When I called two days later to return the frames, I was informed because I didn't sign the paperwork, the warranty was "NULL and VOID". There was a day break from the time I bought the frames before Thanksgiving, and they were closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday. I stayed in town for the weekend to physically stop by on Monday to discuss the frames I bought; they were too big. I told The optical rep, not Nikki, there are no signs anywhere stating frames are not refundable. She said "we tell everybody". I said you didn't tell me! She asked me if I wanted to buy another pair of glasses. Really, another pair of nonrefundable frames. I asked if that made sense to her; she said, "yes". I requested a copy of the alleged warranty paperwork; the sales assistant refused to cooperate. There is no such warranty documentation because I went to another Bella Vision store in the local area and requested the warranty form; it does not exist. It is simply a form to get your name, address, email and phone number possibly for future business. The form is for them not to benefit you. This is how Bella Vision makes money and stays in business by deceiving customers. They tell you after you buy the frames there is no warranty. Unless you get your eye exam, frames, contacts and glasses there, it will not be covered under warranty. I recommend you read the reviews before doing business with this company. Bella Vision in Bothell lied about telling me the frames are not refundable and lied about a warranty for frames. BY THE WAY - the best way to tell customers THERE ARE NO JREFUNDS ON FRAMES is to display signs stating "NO REFUNDS ON FRAMES". There should be a law that a sign displays NO REFUNDS. Be mindful to ask the right questions before you do business with Bella Vision of Bothell. The fact that frames aren't refundable I can live with; however, the dishonesty, lying, deception and unethical business practices is unbelievable! I wish I had read the reviews before going there. I've been going here for a couple years and the staff have been very friendly. I do wish one of the doctors had taken the time to address my health concerns; they kept minimizing my symptoms until I got an actual test done by another doctor who took the time to listen, and sure enough, there was a diagnosis. That said, my experiences with the other doctors were terrific. I really appreciated Nikki, the office manager, going above and beyond in helping me work out an issue with insurance. She invested the time to make sure things were sorted out and did so with such kindness and patience. Nikki is awesome and makes the patient experience at Bella Vision a positive one. read more

My husband and I have had wonderful care and service for about 5 years now. Their eyewear selection is top notch and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The office is clean and attractive. Evaluation technology current! When we needed cataract surgery they made the referrals to make it easier for us. The referred surgery center was great! We like the choices of Bella Visions centers. Dr. Choe and Bella Vision have been the best of the best. I have been a client science they opened in Bothell. I had been to two other optometrist who did not get my prescription correct. Dr. Choe correctly diagnosed and prescribed the best contacts and lens prescription. For my husband, he identified a prescription that was causing scarring. I was surprised to see all the overwhelmingly negative reviews about this place, and that the positive reviews seem to come from people with only one review to their name, so I thought I'd chime in with my 2 cents. We came to Bella Vision after we saw the front desk staff at another eye clinic be rude to a customer who didn't speak fluent English, and have been pleased with the service we've received here. The front desk staff is always friendly and attentive and I've never had a problem getting contacts or glasses, nor do I recall ever being upsold on anything. Most recently they caught something in my husband's eye exam that they felt needed to be forwarded to his primary care physician and were prompt about contacting the primary care provider's office about it. Tl;dr: we've been coming here for over 2 years and have never had a problem. My husband gets his glasses and prescription sunglasses from them, I get my contacts and glasses here. read more

Hope we can balance out the older negative reviews. Our family has been going to Bella Vision in Bothell for a couple of years. Good service and friendly front desk every time. Eye exams are thorough, with glaucoma check, visual field, keratometry, refraction, and fundus eval with dilation and pictures. Drs Choe and Schiller both spend sufficient time patiently answering our questions. No pressure upsell or nickel-and-dime tactics (unlike what our family experienced at another office). The staff had no problem with us buying glasses from an online discount retailer, and provided our pupillary-distance measurements at no extra charge. Will definitely be our go-to optometrist for the foreseeable future. read more

A business thrives for the bare minimun. Sadly, go above and beyond is not in Bella's dictionary. If you are looking for neighborhood friendly shop, it might not be for you. I came to Bella with my brandnew frame and eye prescription from somewhere else. So I only needed lens to be made from Bella. A week later my glasses were ready. To my great surprise, the ladies handled me the glasses by the door. When I asked if I can come in for testing, fitting and adjustment, the lady told me "No you can't because the frame is not from us", and she locked the door in front of me. This is very different from other places where friendly staff made sure my glasses fit comfortablely, check if I can read both properly. Once another friendly shop even fixed my nose pad even if the old glasses were not from them. Two stars for (1) the lens are okay and (2) bare minimum services. read more

I highly do NOT recommend Bella Vision. Although they have more then one location in the area, the chain does not provide a guest first environment. The staff is a very quick to get you in and quick to get you out, with alot of the work (eye drops, pressue tests,ect) being done by assistants and not the actual eye doctor themselves. The company does also not stand behind the work of other Bella Vision doctors and will charge you later to make sure the first doctor in their company did the work right that you paid for. Stunning levels of incompetence. My appointment last year was made with enough ease, though my doctor tried to up-sell me into some more expensive contacts. After I received my bill, I was stunned to see how many extra charges were on there past what was covered under my vision plan - a battle with them and my insurer was unsuccessful, and they won out, with me out of pocket a significant chunk of change. Extra charge for new patient, for contact fitting, lasik consultation (which took 30 SECONDS to tell me I couldn't have it) - just horrific, dishonest business practice. After a month, my new expensive contacts weren't working out and I just wanted to go back to my old ones. I placed an order for 3 boxes on 1-800 Contacts, and my contacts were shipped to me with no trouble. Now that I'm almost out, I placed another order, but 1-800 Contacts called me to say that Bella Vision was blocking my order. The reason? They had ONLY authorized the expensive contacts (despite me not placing an order that day) and refused to allow me to approve my old contacts without a new office visit. Do they really think I'm going to go into another new visit so they can scam me out of more up-charges and fees? Absolutely not. The reason I got my contacts before? They didn't pick up the phone and never called back, which means by law 1-800 Contacts could ship them to me. I asked if I could display my previous order and show that I'd had the contacts before without an office visit, but they refused - gotta get that $$$ from the insurance companies with another office visit. I've never seen any sort of medical practice be so deceiving and intentionally obtuse. I won't be returning - good riddance. read more

I usually go to the one in Woodinville, and I haven't had too many issues with them, but this time they didn't have an appointment for me when I wanted so I made one for this Bella Vision. It's super dark and looks closed when you first drive by, but whatever. I go in and I see my doctor who looks like she's fourteen which immediately made me uncomfortable. We talk about me getting daily contacts and she told me to try them out for a few days. A few days go by and I try to order them, turns out they are $600 for a year supply which is a couple hundred over my budget so I ask to just go back to my old monthly contacts. The lady, Nick I think was her name, said that the doctor would have to sign for it before the order can be placed. I understand, so I just say to call me back because it shouldn't be an issue. I assumed that this would not be an issue because I have used the same contacts for years. She was very rude on the phone and acted like my request was unbelievable. Next she calls back saying that the doctor isn't comfortable signing it off since she hasn't physically seen me in them because I was wearing my glasses when I came in. She said to just stop in so she can take a look. Big problem, I live in Tacoma during the week so the fact that they acted as though I have all this time to screw around with something so stupid was insulting and out of touch. Now I have to wait until friday, on my 21st birthday weekend while everyone is going to try to take me out to mess with this. read more

Don't schedule someone at 5pm if you want them out by 6 it takes time to choose frames. I went to Bella Vision (Bothell) for the first time yesterday for a routine eye exam. I arrived at my appointment about 15 minutes early, right as they were opening. The staff was friendly and helpful. While I was waiting for the doctor, Haley helped me try on some glasses. I really enjoyed her feedback regarding what looked good and what fit right. It felt like shopping with a friend! There was no rushing at all; we must've tried on about 30 pairs of glasses together. We decided on a pair and then she took me back for testing. I was impressed by how knowledgeable she was with all of the testing machines. After the testing, I waited to see Dr. Amara. She was prompt and attentive; she answered all of my questions and was very patient with me when I couldn't decide if option 1 or 2 was clearer. Overall, I was very pleased with the customer service and will definitely be going back for my next exam! read more

The eye exam was great. I would highly recommend the doctor. But the selecting and purchasing of the glasses was not so great. I bought 2 pairs of glasses and didn't get a fitting. I went in later and had them adjusted, but not fitted to my face. This was a couple of years ago. Last month one of my frames just fell apart. So I went in to see if they could help. It was like I asked them to fix the muffler of my car. "We don't do that here, he's a card for a guy in Bellevue". The only shop on Gods earth that will fix a frame. Hey I get it. I was in sales, I would have tried to get me to buy new frames. But this guy just leaned on the counter. My old manager would he chewed him out. They have a great selection there too. If they improve their sales staff it will be a stellar place for glasses. read more

I moved to the Bothell area looking for a closer place to get my eyes checked. I found this store to look nice and appealing. The actual doctors were great, the girls at the front desk, not so friendly. Why I gave it a 2 star is because every time I go in to have a check up, they bill me, I pay, then they continue to rebill me saying I have not paid. It is such a freaking hassle to always have to call them an prove I have paid. This has now happen 2 times, one for each year. The last straw was my daughter going in to get new contacts, had her exam, then they gave her the samples, she did not like the samples and wanted to order her original brand. The girls at the desk would not give our prescription without my daughter coming back in for a check up. After repeated calls and basically bitching my way ...I got the prescription mailed. For the only 2 times I have been there, I think we have had more trouble then it is worth. Now looking for someone better. read more

THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF AND WONT DISCLOSE COST UNTILL IT'S TO LATE. Bella Vision is a scam of an operation. I warn you to read this if you plan on using your hard earned money there. They have no value to the customer just there bottom line. Between Nikki Enstrom the store manager and Nasim Javaheri the doctor they intentionally fraud you by trying to set up multiple appointments to charge per visit and if you are going for Contacts, which I did, they do not disclose any cost up front until they charge you $120 for contact fitting and training. (which is obscene considering it took 10 minutes to do). The problem is after you do the fitting and pay, they send you away for a week to see how the trail contact fill then reschedule you a week later to hit you with the price of contacts. There first defense was that I didn't ask for the cost upfront. I explained that they are the professionals and would make sense to disclose that information. The follow up excuses was that contact prices vary so they couldn't tell me. I explained that the cost are known once a prescription is identified, which they knew a week before. So that excuses didn't work. So Nikki, the manager, stated that they mark up the prices so they can bill the insurance higher, but they can get me in cheaper contacts. That's a very interesting statement and fraud in itself. I tried to be reasonable and asked if they would refund the fitting since they practice a bait and switch operation, or just shift the cost over to a pair of glasses and retain me as a customer and show a shred of integrity. She of course refused stating my insurance is to good and covers so much of the cost. Wow! I hope anyone who reads this makes the smart choice even though this is 1 complaint it takes 100's of people for 1 to do something. My next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, StopFraud.gov and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). I hope this is worth it Bella Vision. read more

I wish I can give 0 star for this location. The appointment was made in person in the office one week prior to the appointment date. They even handed out the business card with the appointment schedule written. I went to the office for the appointment 5 minutes early to be on time, and all I found was that they did not record the appointment in the system and I had to waste my time from work to get the eye exam. Horrible experience from the store and they are not really responsible. Also all the glass frames are so overpriced. Don't use this location for your eye exam and your next glasses. read more

This time at bella vision the girl was out there helping me decide what looked good and didnt and even bringing out options that she thought would look good, which i ended up picking lol! anywho! This review is for the administrative staff at Bothell. I didn't even get to see the doctor. The girls at the Woodinville location seemed very nice, but since they didn't have any open appointments they set something up for me at the Bothell location. Understandable. The girl at the Bothell location calls me the day before the appointment, but couldn't confirm my benefits (it was through VSP nothing out of the ordinary) I called VSP and had them verify and give them a call. And finally everything is sorted out. On the day of the appointment I get there exactly 7 minutes late. And they refuse to see me. I tried explaining that I was stuck in the 405 peak hour traffic, have a crying and wailing 5 year old with me, but she just looks at me in an unemapethtic way and says we have another appointment booked in a few minutes. Don't think will go to them again, will stick to Sears. They don't file the claim for you but at least they are flexible and understanding read more

I have been to Bella Vision several times in the past 4-5 years and have always been happy. I have always been able to get appointments that fit my schedule and they have always been on time. They also have all of my insurance information for me when I get there so I know what is covered and how much is covered which is good for me because I don't have a clue and it saves me time not having to find out the information. I have purchased contacts, glasses, and sunglasses from Bella Vision and with all 3 they have spent time with me to make sure I have exactly what is comfortable and a great fit and have never been rushed through it. Through the process I have always been informed about costs and what is or is not covered. They did try to sell me on anti glare lenses for extra money which my insurance did not cover and I politely declined.....and they were right....I deeply regret not getting it I was trying to look up the phone number on google and ran into these horrible reviews that I just cannot relate to. If I could give less than one star I most certainly would! I paid $400+ for my glasses and that was in addition to what my insurance paid. I have a high prescription but was advised that I could still have the thinnest lenses available so I ordered them. It took extra long to get them (without one call from the office to let me know what was going on) and once I got them, I could not see out of them. They went back to the clinic and they tested them saying it was my problem because the test says they are the right prescription. I have worn glasses for over 40 years - I know when I can't see! Anyway, I have new lenses in the glasses (the second thinnest ones) and they refuse to refund the difference because it is my problem as I can't get used to them. Really? Also, their service sucked! This lens situation has been going on since April and I had to make calls to see what was going on...I didn't get one call to advise status until today. All other contact was me calling them. They have a lot of frames to select from but I wasn't finding one I liked. So they said I could look at some online and they would order them, as many as I wanted and that it was free, they would just return the ones I didn't like. I picked out several online and called back so they could order them. They now told me I could only order 2 at a time, which was not what I was told originally. I said fine and gave them my top 2 picks, and she told me she would put the order in and it would take a week to arrive. After a week passed I called and asked if my frames were in, and was told they had not ordered them at all. She laughed when she said this. This type of customer service is completely unacceptable. She said they could order them but it was a $20 service fee. I basically told her off, why would I return after this just happened? I don't know what they're doing there but they do not communicate with each other and don't know what they're doing. I should have read the other reviews first before I ever step foot inside. The manager of this place is failing to train her employees. I will never go here again. read more
