They were called thru our home warranty American Home Shield. I was given a total day window of 8-5 and guess what NO one came or even called. I missed a whole day of wages!!!! NO one with Sears or American Home Shield has helped me out in any way. So once again I have an eight hour window to sit and wait and hope that they might enough to actually send someone to take care of this. My husband was lied to by the technician "Greg". Order # 000822841620788. Greg said we needed a new capacitor, part W195618. When he "ordered it" and by that, I mean he went and picked it up, he said it was the wrong part. So he put the old capacitor back in my washer and used the new clamp from the new package. When asked why he is only using the clamp, Greg told my husband that the part was the wrong one, so he put the old one back and used the new clamp. I also scheduled to have a clean and maintenance done at the same time, since he was here anyway. He told my husband that the machine was clean and did not need it. He then had the audacity to charge my husband over $400.00 for a clamp and a service call. This WILL be turned over to my attorney! To make matters worse, there is not way to contact them. . ! read more

I was told there were no companies available to do the maintenance. This has been the case for the past 2 of 3 yrs. I scheduled my own maintenance visit and never saw anyone you supposedly sent. Doesn't do me much good anymore to have a warranty plan when I can't get service. Plus it takes forever to work your way thru the process to actually talk to someone. read more

Pete my serviceman was very polite and friendly. He was done so fast. Parts are on order. The only problem that we had 2as my home warranty company. Pete told me what I needed to do to fix it. So I hung up and reached a very friendly woman at Jeffrey's appliances who answered all my questions. I used to be a big proponent of this business, but after the last few experiences I can no longer recommend it. I purchased a set of tires there that were over $1000 dollars. About a year later, I needed a nail removed from one. They wanted to charge me $20, and when I told them I had purchased the tires there, they just said "You should have bought the Road Hazard Insurance". Note: Les Schwab repairs flats for free. I again had a tire with a slow leak, they could not find any problems with it. They claimed they broke it down and remounted it, but there was no improvement. At that time they told me my brake pads were "metal on metal", which I was suspicious of, since I never heard any noise indicating any such issue. They gave me a high quote for the front, but never bothered to look at the back. Although the pads were very low, to say they were "metal to metal" was an exaggeration. It was irresponsible to not check the rear pads, as it was also almost time to replace them. The final straw was after making an appointment the previous week for an oil change, I waited for over an hour for service, only to discover my car still sitting in the parking lot where I parked it, with no sign of it moving any time soon. As I observed the shop, there were 6 cars on lifts with only one employee working. I finally asked for my keys back and left. I doubt I will be returning for any reason. read more

Horrible! They were called through our home warranty to repair our refrigerator. First it took 5 days to get here. Then the guy tells us it will take a week for parts to get here and he can't come until 2 days afterwards. We ended up finding another appointment sooner only to have them emails us the day off to say we are now bumped for another week. My husband called for an explanation, which was they didn't have a speciality technician available today(after we had rearranged out day to be here) and the first available appointment isn't for another week! We had a refrigerator that interior light wouldn't work. The tech spotted the problem and determined it was a wire we broke when the doors were removed to move the refer from Arizona. I VERY MUCH REGRET MY RECENT SEARS APPLIANCE PURCHASE AND RECOMMEND THE PUBLIC NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES FROM SEARS. I am a long time Sears customer who has purchased many Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, etc. for my personal residences and income properties. On 10/01/16 I purchased another Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator, washing machine and clothes dry; purchase receipt total over $6,100 from the Spokane Valley, WA Sears store. I also purchased the extended warranty's for each of the products. The refrigerator did not last even three (3) years. The service technicians have been to my residence four (4) times to fix the refrigerator; they replaced the refrigerator computer "mother board", compressor and two other parts. The refrigerator still does not work. Today was to be the fifth visit by the technicians; however, they sent the technician to an address in a different state! When I went to the Sears store today in Spokane Valley, WA the store manager ("Kim") was indifferent and void of basic customer service skill (yes, it's true; I am not making this stuff up. The technician telephoned me and said he was on his way, he referenced an address in Tucson, AZ; not my residence in northern Idaho). To say the least, I am frustrated and upset with Sears. I have experienced: - Extended telephone "hold" times (up to 40 minutes) with each call to the Sears "customer service" and warranty departments. - Indifference and incompetence demonstrated by Sears personnel - Sears inability to repair the refrigerator after four (4) repair appointments (we have been without a refrigerator for 6 weeks now). - Sears personnel, including the Sears store manager, would not provide me with Sears Corporate office contact information, or any "complaint resolution" contact information. read more

A better experience could probably be had at Walmart, although that's not where I'd suggest you go. If you go into Sears Auto to get snow tires put on your front wheel drive car, tell them you want them put on the front BEFOREHAND! I spent TWO AND A HALF HOURS waiting for them to put two tires on my car and they told me they put them on the back wheels. Not a good idea, even common sense says that isn't right. when I left and got home (slipping and sliding the whole way) I realized MY tires were not in the trunk like I was told, so either way I would have had to go back. when I did get back there I had them put the snow tires on the front, (I noticed a complete difference in driving) and that took another hour. Afterwards I asked for a partial refund, discount, coupons, anything! And could not be helped. Definitely will not be back or suggest this store to anyone. Dave was kind and sort of apologetic but that's not enough to make up for the experience I've had. Save yourself the anger and an entire day spent waiting and go elsewhere. read more

The service tech was congenial, knowledgeable and thorough in his work on our range. He analyzed the perpetual problem with the range oven light, and he identified a defective socket, which would cost $165 to repair. In hind-sight this socket has been defective (probably a design issue) since we purchased the range. It seemed (in the beginning) that light bulbs did not last very long, and over the past couple of years the problem seemed to get bad enough so we stopped replacing the bulb. Finally we decided to have it looked at through Sears service. The answer was not very satisfying - $165 for a new light socket seems quite high with no guarantee that anything would be any different if we were to have the socket replaced (perhaps from a poor design). All that said, we are not satisfied with the range design, however the Sears service was fine by identifying the real problem. We certainly would not buy another range of this type. read more

I bought a used Mazda2 from someone on craigslist, and trusted these guys with an inspection. They found a small issue with an axle, but overlooked some very obvious damage to the alternator, cold air compressor, serpentine belt, and 2 hoses. Had they told me how severely the car was damaged, I never would have bought it. So far I've spent over $2000 getting the car repaired... thanks for letting the previous owner scam me. read more
