DO NOT do business with Ralph's Appliance Repair. We had done business, very satisfactorily, with…read moreAllen Taylor, whose business Ralph bought out. When our ice maker quit drawing water, we called Ralph. He came to our house, installed a valve that he said we needed, and left without ever checking to see if the problem was solved. Had I been home, I would have checked it, myself. When I arrived home, I found the problem had not been fixed. He billed us $60 for the service call, plus $20 for a half-hour of labor. He also charged $62 for a valve that I found online for less than half the price. When I called to complain, he said he was going away on vacation and would call when he got back. He never did. After tolerating a non-operative ice maker for several months (my own fault), I contacted him again and he made a bunch of excuses and claimed he had done nothing wrong. I will be trying to get my money back in small claims court because Ralph refused to fix the problem but kept our money. Save yourself the aggravation I got, and call someone else. I can document all of this, if necessary.

He said the machine would run for several more years if this was replaced. I spent 350 dollars on a new motor. It worked for exactly two wash cycles. I called Ralph and he said it now needs a new transformer. I told him I wanted to return the motor and he refused. Now he wont take my calls or return the motor. I am absolutley furious. I am out 350 dollars and my washing machine does not work. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Jack

Horrible. I paid over $300 for a visit that started with Elliot yelling at me because, for some…read morereason, he couldn't see the number on the large tree at the end of my driveway, and had trouble finding my house. He then had trouble getting indoors, as he is very, very overweight, and had to sit down while examining my kitchen range. He kept admonishing me to "Praise God" for everything, and screamed at the news on my tv, telling me that the Pope "knew nothing about the Bible," and that he, Elliot, was "not descended from apes." I told him I was not religious and didn't care, so he decided to yell at me, instead, because I couldn't see over the range to view what he was pointing at (I'm very short). He then switched to watching videos on his phone, while waiting for a price on what he felt would be the necessary parts. To shorten a long story, the price was high, and I simply didn't want Elliot back in my home, so I paid him for the visit and bought a new range.
