Did not have the right tools for the job or the ladders . I finally got up on my roof to see what had been done because I am quite old 71 to be exact and found that he had smashed my air vent across the top of the roof as I have a metal roof . He tried to use a standard ladder to get to the top which he could not reach so he laid it down and stood on to the edge in able to get a few inches so he could stretch on his tipping toes to reach the top which he never saw the top . I also witnessed with my own eyes and tried to put up that slid down my chimney which smashed on my roof with him on top of it . Now if you would have bought the correct ladders like a step ladder he would not have done such a poor job . Extremely unhappy with this contractor I would not use him again or recommend him . Which I have all pictures to verify this . When he was here I called the owner told all of my problem that I saw and he told me to just to let him go he knew how to do his job well that apparently was not the case

He showed up promptly, had a look, and gave a reasonable estimate, but suggested an alternative, much less expensive, solution from another company in the area. We sincerely thanked him for his advice, freely and promptly given. With luck, we should not need to call him again, but I would not hesitate to do that.

I gave him one star for responding to my call at 5 something in the morning. When he came to my…read morehouse I was standing outside with my dog and had a blanket over my head and covering my body as well. I called the Oneonta troopers and they could only give me his number and Putnam pest control number. I called Putnam first but could not get a hold of anyone there so I called Joshua. By this time it was about 5:30 am. He answered the call right away. I explained that I had a bat in my house and had taken the necessary steps to try to get it out but was unsuccessful. He asked me if I was sure if the bat was still in the house i replied yes its still in the house. He said ok and asked where I lived. I told him the city and he said that it was going to be about $150 for him to come out. I said that it was fine and that I would pay what ever. He came to my house and when he arrived I explained where I saw the bat last and where I thought it was. He looked around my living room and around my family room. He looked behind my blinds and my curtains downstairs. He looked at the stairs but did not go upstairs and look up there. He came back out and said that by now the bat is sleeping. Then he said that the time to call him would have been when the thing was flying around not after as if he was scolding me. Then he said that when I got comfortable back in the house if the bat flies again to call him. I became very upset that he was going to leave with out looking for the bat further. I told him there was no way that I could get comfortable with a bat still in my house and then he tried to tell me that I would have to get comfortable in the house and I told him that there was no way that I could sleep with a bat still in there. Then he said if the bat comes out to call him. I tried to explain that I didn't want to go back in my house. I would rather take my dog and sleep in the car. He said "no, you have to get comfortable in the house because then how are you going to know when the bat flies". Although he made sense i was way too petrofide to be in my house. Then he said that I did not need the blanket over my head. He was really rude. He said let me go get my business card for you. I started to cry because this bat was still in my house and he was going to leave. He came back from the car and handed me his business card. He tried to show me the vent that goes to my attic and show me the bat poop. Although I listened I didn't want to hear it because this bat was still in my house and that's what I was more worried about. He tried to tell me that this is what he does for a living and then asked what I did for a living. I became really upset and said it didn't matter. He got angry and started to leave. I said well what do I owe you and he said nothing. He got in his pick up truck slammed the door and left. I clearly was awake all day and stayed in the kitchen. 9:39pm. came and the bat began to fly again in the house. I called Joshua again and he didn't answer so I left him a message. About an hour later I called again and left another message. He still didn't answer me. Called again at like 11:18pm. this time I was hysterically crying and left him a message begging him to please come and get this bat. He ignored me again. Called him again at like 12:13am still crying again begging him to come and again got ignored. Then I called back at like 12:45am and realized that he had blocked me from calling so I started calling him back to back. IF YOU OWN A BUSINESS YOU SHOULD NOT BLOCK YOUR CUSTOMERS. THAT IS BAD BUSINESS. I'm also going to call the better business bureau and report him. I am seriously traumatized from the ordeal. Do not call this guy. Finally, after three hours of calling him and not getting a response I realized that I was on my own. Really bad business.

When my water pressure dropped, the water came out dirty and the pump to run, drawing my solar battery down, I called Barney & Sons (who'd installed the system 4 years ago). Jason and Terry arrived earlier than expected and my gate was closed. Rather than turning around and leaving, they walked 1/4 mile to the house and well. Wonderful, friendly attitudes. Jason explained the problem, replaced the switch, did the maintenance needed and I'm set for another 4 years. I'd built a cairn of rocks around the well and Terry replaced them (above and beyond the call of duty!) with great care...so sweet! (BTW...when reading the reviews I noticed that Andrew B. posted twice which, unfortunately, skews the results as he obviously knows. I've had nothing but outstanding service and repairs with B&Sons.)

DO NOT GO TO ISD TECH FOR ANYTHING. Brought in a laptop for a funky noise the fan was making. They…read moresaid the fan needed replacing and new thermal paste, so I paid them for the part and labor, about $200. It ran fine. Less than a week later, the noise came back. Called them, figured maybe just a screw wasn't on tight enough or something. Played phone tag for two weeks... "oh that technician isn't here right now", "oh he's on lunch he'll call you back," etc... Months later, got fed up, called in a favor and brought it to a friend of a friend who works with computers. He opened it up to find the shittiest, cheapest thermal paste job ever, and a clearly still old fan that had just been lubricated but not replaced. So these assholes charged over $200 to do a shit job on the thermal paste AND not even replace the part they charged me to buy and replace.
