Service in Honolulu is horrible. Service tech calls me 15 minutes before scheduled apointment to confirm an incorrect address input by sears employee on mainland when first scheduling apointment. Online system does not allow customer to correct incorect address. Technican received correct address via phone call and never showed up even after confirming via phone. Apointment was rescheduled once due to same issue and I beleive it was the same technician who called the 2nd time. We have had them for over 25 years & my mom insisted on keeping them but I have been taking care of their finances & repairs for sometime now! I am so fed up with this company! Every time I call in to get a repair guy out I get the run around! I've been trying to get our oven fixed since the beginning of November 2024 . Still waiting, every time I call the read me the same script & im sick of it! Every time I call they promise me this will never happen again, @ they say I have to wait 3-5 business days to get a response & if I don't then I should call them. When I call them I get the same script read to me. Don't know what to do! But they have no problem taking out our monthly charge , but can't fix or replace our oven! I requested service online for my oven that was locked closed. I was scheduled about 10 days out, with the tech scheduled to arrive between 1 and 5pm. At 4:40pm the tech Cornelius called me to say he was stuck in Pearl city fixing a fridge and he'd be at least another hour. I had a class to go to so I told him I needed to reschedule but didn't want to wait another 10 days! He said he could come out the following morning, that he'd reschedule the service on his end. I received a text message that the service had in fact been rescheduled for the next day between 8am and noon. The next day At 12:10 I called the technician (Cornelius) and left him a voice message asking if he was going to show up because I had another appointment to get to. He never responded and never showed up! VERY DISAPPOINTING. Cornelius seemed like a nice guy, but I think the company he works for is terrible at scheduling and following up with their customers. They have lost my business now and I am currently looking for another appliance repair company. read more

I recvd confirmation text from Sears A.I. of date and time (1pm-5pm window) of service call. It said that service tech would be calling in the A.M. with expected arrival time. Never got a call, waited ALL DAY and it was a NO CALL, NO SHOW! What was really frustrating was not being able to speak to a REAL person when I tried to contact Sears (multiple times)to get an ETA and to report the No Call No Show. Instead I got an AI computer with only limited pre-programmed responses/options, none of which answered my questions. This is the worst experience I have ever had with Sears. I will contact yelp and publicly share our experience with contact, appointment scheduling, can't get anyone to call customer back, Global Customer Service through the Sears Hub Warranty site. Two refrigerators for repair since the beginning of March. The GE was scheduled in around the lst week of March. This had to be rescheduled 5 times and completed finally on May 23rd. The Kenmore refrigerator was scheduled for repair at the end of March and this appointment was rescheduled 4 times since and finally got completed today June 2nd. DO NOT PURCHASE WARRENTY FROM SEARS. I have had a maintenance program for years with sears. I am so frustrated with their current system! U call for an appointment and u get AI help. Then they cancel ur appointment that morning!! I had an appointment scheduled for today between 8am-12pm. The appointment was pushed back to 2:09pm. At 2:56pm, there was still no communication from the repairman. The system stopped updating their time of arrival. The phone numbers I tried were all automated and did not allow me to speak to a representative about the issue. This could be alleviated with a clearer line of communication. I got a call around 4pm that the repairman would be there in 20 mins. Don't purchase a warranty from Sears!. They suck! I waited three weeks to have my refrigerator repaired on the day of the appointment. I get a text not a person, but a text sent to me telling me they cannot make it and they have to cancel. First available appointment they offering me on a text is 2 1/2 weeks later in the meantime I do not have a running refrigerator! Called Sears Home Service / Appliance Repair for a washer repair and got a diagnosis the next day. However, they wouldn't schedule the appointment for the repair for another 10 days. Waited until 2:00 and got a text it was cancelled. Next appointment not available for 5 more days. This is a washer and most people need clothes. Tried to get a refund and they only offered $239 out of the $633 I paid! I have always used them but never again. Tried to get a manager and insist on service sooner with no luck. Sears motto is - If appliances can be fixed, they will fix it first before you can get a new appliance. My dryer had 4 parts ordered and when the technician came to install it, couple days later, the dryer again was not drying properly so a technician name Jordan came over and said a sensor control needed to be ordered. This was Oct 2024. Part came in 11/18 so made an appointment to install the sensor. Would you believe technician did not show up 5 times!!!! All 5 times I called back about technician not showing up and what does "I'm sorry and apologize for the inconvenience it cause you" so let's reschedule!!!! Everything's *AL & a notification came to advise me that technician will not be able to come today. What is bad is that they say the next available date is 2 weeks later - I would assume that since it was scheduled and they could not make it, my néw appointment date would be a few days later, not in 2 weeks. This happened on all my 5 rescheduling - no more rescheduling, period. And you are right about all their toll-free # as well as the direct # to the local Sears technician doing the job - again another toll-free # and again all the #'s you call, all have the same recording on what # to press. I would be able to talk to a outsourced staff and advised then that I wanted an earlier appointment date (1of the staff told me to call maybe a few days later to get an earlier appointment, which I always get) Then I would call 2 days, 1 day and day of appointment to reconfirm and they said that's correct - time was between 0800-5pm (this also shows on my text about the appointment date/time) Then day of maybe around 1pm, I would call and staff I talked to says "yes" they contacted local Sears office and yes, technician on its way (happened to me twice) They wanted to re-schedule (6 times already). I told them no I want to cancel the appointment as well as stop my monthly $59 per month - in other words, forget about this paying monthly for years and get this kind of service. I called my cc and told them do not pay when Sears automatically charges my cc. (Note: I shopped around for a new dryer and went to Lowe's, Home Depot and Best Buy and was curious if other customers are having the same problem, wasn't surprised when they laughed and said "yes"). I ended up buying my own dryer. Your CINCH Warranty is a joke!!!! Instead call me moments before he was scheduled to arrive to tell me that he and Sears nolonger service CHW customers and also after acknowledging that the call was for a recall that was placed with in the 30day window in which Sears delayed its response for an available date still declined to provide recall service. My refrigerator was not working. Emailed on Friday because Sears does not answer phone. Junny came on Monday, said I needed new compressor, which he scheduled for Wednesday. Got call that I had been rescheduled to Thursday. Nobody came, and no call, text or email. Finally came Friday at 3:30 pm and finished by 6:15. Today is Saturday, and all seems to be working. The technician is very good, but his company is not. They do not answer calls or emails. Everything seems to be done by robots who know nothing except to reschedule online. Technician didn't even try to take out pump to see if it could be replaced. He just recommended to buy new washer. I paided $100 for my deductible and nothing had been done. I would give Sears a negative 100 stars if I could. Their home services repair is a JOKE! You call their number and it's almost impossible to speak to a live person. When you make the appointment, they don't show up. Oh, never mind that I had to take off from work so I could be at home. Sears doesn't care!!! My appointment was canceled twice and it needed to be reschedule 2 times!!! The reason given for the cancellation is that Hawaii doesn't have enough technicians and my appointment is always the last one of the day. So when the technician who is supposed to come is running behind schedule, my appointment is canceled. They don't care that it was already canceled once and all the major inconvenience that the rescheduling does to its clients. The master protection agreement is a waste of money. Why pay for something when Sears always cancels the appointment?? I'd rather pay someone who is reliable and will keep the appointment and show up. So sad. Our refrigerator stopped making ice then started leaking into the living room carpet then made a detour back to the kitchen to start damaging our laminate flooring. I called Sears to schedule a repair appointment on Wednesday of last week. The lady on the other end of the line said no openings til today, Monday. Oh no! The lady says turn off the water in back of your fridge. Help! We can't access it in the built in. Hubs is a more of a wannabe Fearless Fly vs a Mighty Mouse type of guy. Hubs had paid for a one year extended warranty so the visit would be covered. I was given a 8-12 noon window. Called at 10 a.m. to check on the status. The tech arrived about 11:50 a.m. I showed him the email of the warranty and he said it's the wrong serial number. Clerical error or ??? It's the only fridge we use- rather flustered after waiting then being told he couldn't move the fridge out of the built in and told to call my insurance. Fortunately I did that already. Part of the carpet has changed to a darker colored stain since I called for a repair and the flooring is bubbling with water coming out between the floor boards in a few spots. Starting yesterday I started smelling dampness, not the most pleasant smell. Thank goodness I had a new air wick bottle and had just bought a Bath and Body Wallflower last week- chocolate peppermint fragpartially helps to cover up the dankness. Oh 2020 what a way to begin. Hope when the claims company comes out tomorrow I'll get some help and good news. The Sears guy tells me let the people coming out get the fridge out and access whether it's the fridge or a water line problem... Do NOT buy this service warranty! To keep it simple: 1. 90 min average time on hold to talk to a service agent 2. Average 1-2 months for service appointment (for diagnosis) 3. THEN average 1-2 months for actual service appointment IF they show up 4. 7am-7pm service window (so you have to take off work with each call I got my plan 12/5/23... for a dryer with wheels needing replacement (a 1 hour repair) 8/21/24 have yet to get it serviced, and now trying to cancel the plan so I can move on and actually get it fixed elsewhere and they are only prorating my fee back, even though it's their fault it's taken 9 months to NOT fix my dryer. read more

Technician shows up with no text notification and leaves before I can get to the door. No contact number for the technician, 3 hours on hold with service dept only to be told they can't come back today, it would be in 2 days which would mean another day off of work!! The time frame that I was given for the service repairman to come was between 1-5 pm. I was happy that Corn showed up before 2 pm. My washing machine had problems with the spin cycle. Corn showed me what was wrong and gave me a repair quote as my machine was not under a service contract. It originally would have cost about $550. He gave me my options and explained the Sears Protect Home Warranty Plan which would cost about $57/month and cover up to 12 listed appliances. I chose to sign up for the Plan as my other major appliances are also older models. Today's service repair was discounted to $360 as the warranty plan wouldn't become effective until 02/01/25. Corn thoroughly answered my questions and finished the repair quickly. He was very knowledgeable and personable. read more
