This company has NO REGARD for your time. I had an appointment that was scheduled through my home warranty service. Technician did not call and was a no-show. read more

Do not use this company! First of all, they are not Sears. This company is actually A & E Factory Services. I chose them due to the Sears name, the way it is listed on Google, We had a technician out to diagnose the problem with our Jenn-air stove. He stated that we needed new control board. We paid up front for the part and labor. When it did not solve the problem we immediately contacted A & E. After many hours and numerous phone calls they finally sent out a second technician This second technician stated that the first tech had mis-diagnosed the initial problem. That the repair required a different part. And it would cost us several more hundred dollars, plus labor, to be paid before they would order the new part. We declined, paying out more money, so the tech left. So, despite the fact that their invoice stated that we had a 30 day guarantee now we are out $713.98. read more

Second time in about a week that we needed to call for service but not for the same thing thankfully. Mike our tech was terrific. You can teach an old dog new tricks and he did. We were having issue with our ice maker and he showed us what we were doing incorrectly. He was in and out and his expertise is of great value to this family! Thanks read more

The worst, will never ever have any dealings or recommend. Make calls to customer service & all you get is listening to recording for approximately 45 minutes before an Employee picks. When I finally get to speak to an Employee, they put you on hold & all of a sudden I'm disconnected. Employees are incompetent. read more

We requested our dishwasher to be fixed in March. It is now August 8th and our dishwasher is still not fixed and they won't send our home warranty company a recommendation for getting us a new one because they are "still waiting on one part" for five months now. read more

Sears Appliance Repair - This is from July 30th and we still have not heard anything - Appliances & Repair Near Me

Under no circumstances should you use this company. I was charged $700 for a repair that didn't work (the technician didn't even look at the washer/dryer and just ordered the most expensive replacement part that didn't fix the issue), and when I tried to get a refund I was hung up on by multiple customer service representatives. Then they flagged my phone number so that I couldn't connect with a real human customer service representative. I was given an incorrect email address, and then waited 2.5 weeks for a response, denying my refund request with no explanation. Then they told me that the technician had written "sweetheart" in my notes, which is demeaning and dismissive and has sexual undertones that are entirely inappropriate. $700 down the drain, my washer/dryer is still broken, and I've been treated horribly by about 50 customer service representatives. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Mike the technician was fantastic. Very thorough and explained everything in easy to understand terms. I agree with a recent reviewer that the communication of the company overall is not what is should be. The links in the emails to track status did not work. Also my appointment was automatically rescheduled without anyone consulting me as to whether that date was convenient or not. I had to call customer service to find out what was going on. read more

Dryer repair went well. Dryer is back to functional. Long all wait was frustrating. Warranty covered costs

Excellent service! Technician called first; arrived early; was upfront about costs; promptly fixed the repair. read more

I would give 5 stars but you made me wait entire weekend. Now I have to replace all food in fridge and freezer. I pay all this money for warranty and you don't handle EMERGENCIES on weekend. If you were a patient needing life saving emergency how would you like to be told " it's the weekend. We don't operate on weekends" you wouldn't be giving any feedback because you would be dead just like the $1000. Worth of food that I now have to throw away! I am furious to have all that food wasted. It was about a 20 minute job. Tech located problem immediately and had it fixed in a few minutes. I am staying with you until I can locate a company that is available 24/7. read more

I am on my 5th rescheduled appointment and there is no number to call and get customer support on the updates or the order main page they send you. We get our hopes up and then only to find we are getting no-showed again. read more

A dryer repair was scheduled for today. An email from Sears claims the service man called but we were not at home. But we were home. He did not ring the doorbell or telephone. He left no notice at our address. Perhaps he went to the wrong address though the service sheet has the correct address and phone numbers. Calling Sears is impossible. All numbers lead to the same recorded voice which offer no way to talk to a human being. The website also offers no way to reach a real person. This is a terrible way to run a business. read more

Update on my situation. After three days I finally got ahold of the supervisor of repair department who only offered to rebook my appointment. I have to stress this: you cannot have an employee show up, take a pic of your door and leave without knocking calling or dining the door bell and expect me to be happy about a "rebooking". They intend to take 100$ from me for this. Unacceptable. read more

Let me just say the sears home services is the biggest con going. They say they have come to your home by taking a picture from the street. They never ring the door bell or knock. They cancel appointments and don't schedule a new one. If after 4 tries you do a get someone to show up, they take your money for parts and repair and then ghost you. Check them out...EVERY phone number listed in Utah Valley routes to the same over seas answering service. You can NEVER talk to a technician or the scheduler. Long story short... Do NOT give these cons any money as they never do the work promised. read more

awesome job, thank you for being prompt in time and taking care of the issue for us. If needed, we would use the service again.

They farmed my service to a company The Hook-1Guys, they left my dishwasher worse off they before . This company is receiving 1.5 stars anywhere you can find a review. Make sure who Sears is sending before you schedule. read more

I understand not being able to make an appointment maybe once .when you cancel an appointment 3times af a customer has made arrangements to meet the technician with not a call or text .that unacceptable. after 5 calls each time and you are assured the next appointment will happen and it does not .i am sure after my contract is. Up I will look for another service read more

First of all went to the wrong house ..... Tried to pick apart my washer ....like this is wrong and gave me a $650 estimate .... wasn't sure if that would fix the problem..... he acted very STUPID.... NEVER AGAIN.... Also...when called for appointment ...they cancelled me twice ... WOW read more

My dryer repair experience was awesome! Went from a noisy tumbling sound to whisper quiet. I highly recommend Sears home service for appliance repair. read more

Sears Appliance Repair - Old but still kicking. - Appliances & Repair Near Me

Serviceman was great, offered to give me a rack clip for the dishwasher but unfortunately he didn't have one on his truck, but went out of his was to tell me it was at the post office and gave me the part number SO I can locate one on my own should the clip not be covered under warranty. read more

They were sent out by Cinch Home Warranty to check on a gas smell problem. The guy who showed up reeked so badly of cigarette smoke it was impossible to smell anything other than him. He walked around for a minutes, said everything seemed fine, and then left. GAS IS INVISIBLE. You can't diagnose much less fix a gas-related issue by looking at it. Holy moly. Cinch refused to send out anyone else or refund my deductible, so both Cinch and Sears made out like bandits by doing absolutely nothing. Nice. read more

The technicians where great also did a wonderful job Would highly recommend them to everyone. read more

My technician was very knowledgeable and efficient. He was also very kind to my pets and friendly to me.

The lady told me it would be 119 for the service call I agreed to that she said that would go towards my repair and parts that needed to be replaced The Guy arrived at 8 o'clock he was finished by 820 he did not replace any parts and charged us $359 for a basically a total of 10 minutes of work and that was just tightening up some screws on the drum and then left They are a rip off that is not what they told me on the phone and they are very dishonest and I would never recommend them again!! read more

My one suggestion is to return to a live agent. There was no way for me to learn and express my concerns on the matter of scheduling a repair. When asked online if I needed to reschedule, I indicated with a check mark. Not hearing from Sears I assumed that the date I selected was good. Then the day before (which was a week later) my indicated preferred date, I was told my date was the following week! I dealt with the problems of this repair without any human voice communication. Unacceptable... Once the technician came I finally had a refrig/freezer in working order. He did a great job but this whole process took 2 1/2 months to complete. read more

we called about the dryer not working. he installed 2 parts and when it still didn't work, he shrugged and said "oh well, it must be your electrical system" and left. never tested to see if in fact it was the electrical system. never tested it at all from the very beginning to find out if it really needed the parts he installed. he said he installed the parts they gave him to install and that was it. read more

Missed the technician doorbell ring (was in the restroom), but ran outside and caught him still parked outside. He looked up and saw me, phone in hand, but drove off anyway. I called and texted the number he gave me and no reply. Attempted to call dispatch, but he refused to return and could not reschedule until the following day. It is my refrigerator that is down and things are perishing. We know how expensive groceries are these days. I am only posting this because he looked me in the eye and drove off. He was outside only a minute too, Ring camera. read more

Zero stars or less! Technician came to see why my washer wasn't working. Said I needed a new cold water intake valve as mine wasn't letting the cold water in. Had to pay for part and labor to install it up front. Later on found out the cold water had been turned off and no new part was needed. Shouldn't that have been "Washing Machine Repair 101"?? Plugged in...check; water turned on...nope. Turn it on...problem solved! I called the technician to cancel part and get refund. Two weeks later still no refund! And there is absolutely no number to call where you can talk to an actual person...you just get hung up in an endless loop of recordings. Worst customer service ever and they steal your money!!! How are they still in business with all these negative reviews?? Never again!! read more

First and foremost - NEVER USE THIS SERVICE. THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM AND WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NEVER SHOW UP. I called sears appliance repair dept re the igniter on my gas stove top. I had already had the problem diagnosed and all I needed was the repair. They never showed up and then charged me $119. when i asked them to provide me with the invoice that I signed in order for me to pay them, they never sent it and instead referred me to a collection agency. Because i have near perfect credit, I paid a negotiated amount. I dont want this to happen to anyone else. NEVER, EVER USE THESE DISHONEST THIEVES. THEY ARE TOTAL SCAMMERS. i will post this on every relevant site I can find read more

Very knowledgable and quickly diagnosed the problem. Amounted to a kink in the drain hose. Once straightened, the problem was solved.

After three appointments over 10 days my dishwasher still doesn't work. You can't even an appointment when you tell me that they'll be there between 7am to 6 pm halt your whole day for them only to get there at 8:30 pm for 2 of the 3 appointments. Only for him to lie and say that he tested it. You can't test the dishwasher without having dirty dishes in it so just turning on and the lights coming on doesn't mean that the thing cleans dishes. read more

Horrible. I received a text saying they would be at my home at 11:57am but did not show up or call At 3:oo pm , I called customer service because no one arrived or called. Ahmed the tech called at 4 and said he's be there in 20 minutes. He never showed came or called. all called. OI called customer service tried contacting him and dispatch unsuccessfully. The claimed their were no managers. Customer service tole me to wait he was on one appointment. He never showed up or called. Dont ever schedule an appointment with them. read more

I set an appointment for my LG washer/dryer combo. 1st tech made wrong diagnosis and failed to inform me that the part, (the wrong one) was being sent directly to me. After scheduling issues by Sears I got another technician. John the was knowledgeable to the point where he realized the 1st tech made the wrong diagnosis and he was able to quickly rectify that. Once the proper part arrived and after the company caused multiple scheduling issues he finally came and completed the work with a positive and professional attitude. This was much appreciated especially after so many issues with the company, especially with the lack of being able to speak to a person. I doubt I will use Sears again since there is no way to rectify the trouble they caused me since the people I finally reached after much effort on my part still had no power to make amends. The answer to my problem was to transfer me back to auto call limbo which caused me to make additional call backs to no avail. If I were to use their services again it would only be because of John who finally fixed the issue after almost a month of back and forth. read more

I liked this service guy. Polite, on time, honest and caring. He fixed the issue right away. I would recommend him to anyone.

Sears came out over 12 times to fix an ice maker. I find out months later that we were eligible for a new refrigerator. The price they gave us was not even close to what a new refrigerator would be. Icing on the cake: every refrigerator that would fit was NOT AVAILABLE for delivery in our area (live in the Baltimore/Washington DC area). The OVERPRICED refrigerator that was finally ordered (with an additional close to $1000 to pay) could not even be delivered when they said it would. I tried calling for 2 weeks to the delivery department and was told that delivery needed to be rescheduled--but oh wait!!!---their systems were being upgraded and I was told that all would be working to schedule a delivery that Friday; that Friday passed, then the next week it was always 'On Friday'. 3 weeks later I was being told the same thing. I am cancelling this order, and guess what???? I'm getting the same refrigerator from Home Depot for $800 less. The people that came out kept replacing the SAME parts on numerous visits. On top of that--they kept trying to sell the 'whole house warranty' on me. No thanks. If I could give a NEGATIVE NUMBER rating on Sears Home Services, I sure would. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Looks like complete fraud. Technician came to repair out microwave. He told us that we need to order part. It was charged for in advance. This part was never delivered. And the most interesting part is that close to impossible to talk to human service. When you calling computer gives you 2-3 options and say good buy. Stay away from this "service". I'm considering to sue it for outright fraud read more

kenmore Gas range oven not working -- repairman was fine -- but he claimed the replacement part cost $130 -- I looked up the exact part ( igniter) and it is readily available at $18. replacing the oven igniter took 30 minutes labor. the final change was $410. this is rip off and I should never have paid it -- brand is Sears appliance /warranty repair -- they tried to sell me a maintenance contract -- don't do it read more

He really knows washers and did a great repair in under 2 hours. I strongly recommend this appliance repair service.

Today was the second time the technician just didn't show up for the appointment, so I waited all day for nothing. As in my previous review--and lots of others' reviews--there is absolutely no one to call. The AI response to this review will likely say to call their 800 # but it's only automated--no human beings. read more

Very knowledgeable technician! As soon as we turned on the dryer, he recognized the problem! Very courteous and respectful. He asked if I wanted a service contract, and when I refused he respected my decision and didn't try to keep forcing the issue. I like that!! read more
