We have been going to Seahurst Pediatrics since 2022 and have brought both of our boys here from birth through their toddler years. We truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mendoza and the entire team. They have been such a steady, reassuring support as we've navigated parenthood -- especially with all the questions that come with raising two busy boys and understanding their dietary and developmental needs. We always feel listened to, never rushed, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Mendoza takes the time to explain things clearly so we can make informed decisions for our family. I've actually recommended multiple families to Dr. Mendoza after they had babies, and now we all rave about her together. It's such a gift to have a pediatrician you trust enough to confidently send your friends to, and then hear them say the exact same wonderful things. One thing we especially appreciate is their accessibility. When we get those inevitable daycare calls about ear infections or sudden fevers, they are usually able to get us in the same day for an urgent visit, which is such a relief as working parents. The nurses and all of the doctors are incredibly kind and attentive. And on a lighter note, my kids love the different themed rooms -- they get so excited to see where they'll "travel" for their visit. It makes what could be a stressful experience feel special and fun. The team here is wonderful! We see Dr. Mendoza but if she's not available we've also had wonderful experiences with everyone else on the team. They listen to our concerns and address the problems in a prompt manner. I've also been able to ask larger parenting questions and have appreciated the insight so I can make the best informed decision. The team treats us with kindness and makes the experience as pleasant as possible (given that the reason for the visit is usually because my child is not feeling good). Yes the office is outdated and does not look state of the art, but that's a reflection of building management as they are part of a larger facility and not a standalone business. I don't think that plays a factor when considering the best care for my child and I would instead focus on the quality of the team. read more

Best pediatrics out there. I was suggested a doctor for my son and daughter when they were born and it happened to be in this location. The doctors are professional and there is almost always availability. The staff here is great also and always willing to help. read more

Son was sick for 2 months and every time we called to get him seen they only wanted to do virtual call. Dr.Cranmer how the hell are you supposed to know if my child needs care if you don't let us come in to see him in person? We ended up going to a urgent care out of frustration and our son was seen ASAP and given treatment for pneumonia. Do your damn jobs and stop hiding behind a screen. Parents avoid this office at all cost. Children must be be seen in PERSON. If you're scared of covid after all this time maybe it's time to look at a different job field. Oh one last thing they love saying the reason your kid is sick is because of daycare without seeing them :) read more

We found Dr Cranmer through a recommendation. She is very thorough with a-lot of attention to detail with our child. It was instantly clear she loves what she does. She took the time to answer every question (which is a ton as new parents!!) and made sure our daughter was comfortable. A lab bill was not covered by our insurance and Seahurst Pediatrics offered to have the bill transferred to their office so they can pay it, should the appeal process fail. As the appeal process still continues... owner Dr. Cranmer pushed back and told me to pay for it! Wow such an unworthy and dishonest place. A waste of time. I really wanted this place to work out but it went downhill fast. We have seen a number of their doctors/staff members and they are all extremely unprofessional, lack common sense, and customer service. It is a headache to continue to work with this clinic or their doctors. Not a confident bunch. In the past I have had to wait 45 minutes with my undressed baby and received cold shoulders from everyone working there. We have been rushed through our appointments with low level care with various doctors. Our current doctor who has a son that is the same age as my daughter, always refers to her experience with him whenever I have questions about my daughter. It is strange not getting a doctors analysis on things, but rather a parents perspective on their son. The rooms and waiting area are also outdated and dirty. You also get no updates or summary visits. I would say drive a bit further and pay more for better service and quality professionals. All the one star reviews here are very accurate. read more

I give this office 5 stars! I remeber being 8 months pregnant, very nervous (I am a first time mom) and trying to find the "right" pediatric office for my son I'm so glad I came across seahurst pediatrics. I read all of the Dr's bios & Dr. Heugel really stood out for my fiancée and I. what I really liked about Dr. Heugel was her doesn't normally work on Wednesdays and was willing to come in to meet us on his day off. When I first met Dr. Heugel I was very impressed he made me feel very comfortable, really takes his time to listen & answer all of our questions and concerns. I've been coming to this office since the day my 12 years were born. I love the office. But it seem to disappointed me for the past years. I love the doctors here. I drive from auburn just to get my kids seen at this location. Today I had to wait an hour. I was patience enough to stick around and got my daughter seen here. I don't know what's going on??? But this office need to get it together. This is why we make appointments. To get seen. Not wait for an hour or so. Just to get seen for 15 mins. Waste of my time!!! read more

I really appreciate first of all the availability to take your child in on Saturdays, weekdays can be impossible! Whenever i go in to see our doctor, he is always willing to listen and doesn't make you feel like you are asking crazy questions. He really cares about providing great care. So grateful for that. And honestly, when I first started going in, I felt the front desk to be a bit unfriendly at times but overtime I feel that it changed and they are alot kinder. read more

We have been coming to Seahurst Peds. for many years. They have always found a way to fit us into the schedule, not to mention their open 6 days a week. The care has always been the high quality and they take the time to get to know their patients, they feel like family. The support staff is excellent and a pleasure to deal with for any circumstance. Dr Lee is such caring and wonderful doctor. He has a way of interacting with our kids that makes them feel comfortable and makes going to the doctors office fun! Dr Lee is very responsive, calls to follow up when needed, and very personable. Dr Cranmer is also great and we have seen her many times as well. Is there a reason to why I wasn't notified that Dr. Heugel no longer works there ? Letter ? E-mail ? Anything ?!

I would give minus stars if I could. I would never take my kids to them. I have two kids. For the last year I have been taking them to this place. They have never had the same doctor twice. Always new one. My 1 yo used to have popping knee, and the physical exam skills of one of the provider who saw him did not even exam his legs (his knees or hips none of these joints were examined. Then, when a nurse there gave him a vaccine then realized his popping knee, then the nurse brought the provider back to the room. Also, when my 2 yo had flu, I took him there. the provider tried to send him home saying "it is just viral infection there is no medications". While that was true, I had to insist on flu test done. It came back positive for flu. Then the provider called in tamiflu to the pharmacy (not even fax) and left a voice message for the prescription. The pharmacy was way too busy that day to check their voicemail. When she called in the prescript it was after 5 pm. There was no one at the office to re-route the script. we had to wait 4 hours to get the med for my son who was running a fever of 103. If it were a fax or online order, it would have been way much faster. Then, now I took my currently 1 yo to 9 mo well child visit. Yet again he saw another provider there who just joined. Then, my insurance first did not see the contract with him. So, the clinic charged me of $144. I got it solved by talking with my insurance. I told them the reference number and the name of person that I spoke with at my insurance. The billing depart of this clinic said then they would make a note and it would take 1 month to resolve. Apparently, they must not have made the note. In the meantime, I have been getting bills again. So I called them up again to find out. They said, all is paid and now there was no more charge. However, today I got a collection letter saying it has been more than 60 days since the bill was sent. Not only these, they have no customer service. If you or your kids are thirsty and you happen to forget to bring your own water, you will have to go out to hall way and found water fountain. If you call them up and they made you wait, they never come back to the call. I always had to hang up and call again after waiting 5-10 minutes. I would never ever take my kids there ever again. read more

From the front desk to Dr.Huegel I give my praises throughout the facility!!! Every time I go for my son's appointment the staff there always greeted us right away and with a welcoming gesture. There is absolutely little to no waiting at all in the lobby once we check in, which makes it very convenient especially if you have a fussy infant like I do. And as of Dr. Huegel, he's very kind and compassionate. He treats my son as if he was one of his own. So if you're in search of a great pediatric, look no further because here, you'll never be a client, only a part of this growing family! read more

I have taken all 4 of my children to Seahurst Pediatrics for more than 24 years. I added up more than $40,000 to them through insurance payments, co payments and self payments from my family. This is not even calculating the referrals. I lost my job and insurance for a short period of time and became delinquent for $500. I never heard from them to set up a payment arrangement, just all of a sudden got a collection bill. The collections company was very rude and clear that compassion was not their interest and they did not want to discuss any payment arrangement or settlement agreement, while interest continued to build! I reached out directly to Seahurst Pediatrics to again try to discuss the same and resolve the issue. I received a response letter specifically indicating from the review and direction of Dr. Cranmer, stating they were not interested in discussing payment, settlement and that I could contact their collection agency for full payment! Pretty sad the lack of compassion, yet so money hungry given the circumstances. When Dr. Rabinowitz left so did the moral and compassion. Invest your money with providers that consider you family and not a dollar! read more

No one likes going to the doctor, especially little guys who need shots! Dr. Heugel along with his staff are great and make kids feel at ease. We've been with the practice for over 2 years now they even have Saturdays available and flu shot clinics for parents who work! If you are looking for a practice for your little ones, it's a great place to go. It's nice talking to a doctor who gets what you are going through as well. read more

I know I've already left a review but I had another great experience this week. Dr. Huegal was on vacation this week so when my 2 year old kept wheezing I was panicked. I usually don't like to see any other Dr when it comes to my sons breathing issues because Dr Huegal knows my sons past and always knows just what to do but since seeing him wasn't an option we made an appointment with Dr Rainbowits (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and he was AWESOME. My husband even liked him and he usually doesn't like anyone other than Dr Huegal. It was great to have a Dr who understood my sons asthma issues and knew what we need to do to get him back on track rather than try and tell me it's not asthma it's just a cold and then the next day I'm admitted at childrens because my son has had an asthma attack. So once again thank you to Seahurst pediatrics for taking such good care of my little ones :) I haven't caught the ladies in the office name but they sure know mine and my kids and they are always friendly too :) read more

Whatever you do, DON"T GO SEE MALIA CRANMER! She is consistently unprofessional, does not take parent's concerns into consideration, and has a lack of pediatric expertise that is beyond belief. On one occasion she was the physician overseeing a simple procedure of removing a splinter from my son. Unable to take care of it, my son was screaming in agony and when I asked her to stop, she refused to. Later, she upcoded the medical bill so that we would get charged for surgery. Can you believe that? That is illegal and fortunately another physician in the office fixed her intentional mistake and fixed the account. We see another doctor in the office and unfortunately for us during another visit, she was overseeing immunizations and refused to provide service to my daughter because of a medical history. Despite having a positive history with this treatment and continuously receiving adequate care, she refused to provide service and speak to me in person as any professional physician would do. Instead, we had to leave and get the treatment elsewhere. If you want a physician who cares about your child, your thoughts as a parent, and will appropriately bill you after the visit... don't go see Dr. Cranmer! read more

We started seeing Dr Huegel after we had our son 3 years ago. We loved him so much we continue to bring our daughter to him as well. I found it refreshing to see a doctor that has children and can relate to what you are experiencing as a first time parents. He's very good with both our son and daughter. Great Doctor! read more

I have not had a good experience with Seahurst pediatrics, at all. We see Doctor Huegel. Every time we have felt extremely rushed. We have been in the office for over an hour and saw our doctor for 2 minutes before he ran back out the door. They are not personal and didn't show much care for my daughter. They don't even listen to me. The office hasn't been great here either. Prescriptions are never called through. Our pharmacy is always just as confused as us. They have attitude if you keep calling (sorry I need my 7 month olds medication, who has been refusing to eat). I have been so emotionally upset and frustrated over everything we have experienced here. This is not how I wanted our first pediatrician to be. They have not taken me or her serious which is why I'm thankful we have finally now switched to an amazing office (gave them too many tries clearly)who is pro active and actually HELPing our daughter. Dr. Malia Cranmer is terrific, we have seen her since our son was born 3 hears ago! This office can get very busy, especially during cold/flu season, so make sure and bring your patience. Even after moving to Tacoma we still drive up to see her as our son's primary care doctor and for the occasional illness. She's a doctor that both kiddo and parents like and feel comfortable with, and can be hard to find! read more
