From the first phone call with Tiffany(who was fantastic) to the nurse who weighed, measured and took vitals(also great) doctor was thorough and had great bedside manner to the office people who looked up information we didn't know exsisted-a fantastic experience. They misdiagnosed my with with mouth herpes when he really had foot/hand/mouth disease. 2nd. they give me a 10 grace period i was 2 mins pass the grace period and canceled my sons appointment on the spot. Not a huge fan of this clinic for several reasons. 1) always makes me wait. When you have a toddler, waiting is extremely difficult. This last appt, it took 40 minutes before I was called into the room. Then once in, another 10 to 15 before the doctor came in. 2) everything is old school, on paper. No digital records, which makes things very inconvenient and hard to have records on hand whenever you need it 3) nurse line is via voicemail, no email option to ask questions . If you work during the day and can't answer phone calls back, you're out of luck. 4) hard to access the clinic because it's in the hospital campus. You have to park far, walk far to get there. 5) clinic looks old and doesn't have anything to keep the kids occupied while waiting for forever Our doc, Dr Lee is very sweet although I wouldn't say I feel extra drawn to her to stay if I could easily switch. I do believe in consistency for my kid, so I don't want to keep switching different doctors. For my first year, I took my kid to Swedish Meadowcreek and by comparison I love it so much more. I switched because Valley was cheaper with my work offered insurance. Too bad. read more

Everyone is complaining about the wait time, but you will find that there is a wait time at every doctor's office. Just be careful when you schedule. They'll charge you for services that you didn't actually schedule. Annual physicals are billed to insurance as follow-up, because the scheduler put it in that way. Front office doesn't care that now you have a co-pay and the whole point of scheduling was an annual. Moving to a new practice. I don't have time to deal with the rude office staff. read more

Tried using this place as our daughter's pediatrician. Excruciatingly long wait times whenever we arrived for our appointments all 3 times. 45 min to and hour, which with a newborn is a lifetime. Our first time there was a long wait, we showed up a few minutes early not know what to expect with COVID and it being our first Dr appt. 45 min wait time to see Dr. When we finally saw Dr. Ritcher, our daughter was mid meltdown from sitting in the lobby for so long, Dr proceeded with a half-hearted rushed exam due to the baby screaming. Cool to see them fall behind with their appointments then rush through the remaining patients. We gave them benefit of the doubt after the 1st trip and tried Dr. Ritcher for our 4 month check up. Same thing, long wait time for us after arriving on time. Sitting in the lobby for closing to 40 minutes. Exam was fine apart from Dr recommending we start our 4 month old on solids to help with weight gain...... Tried a different Dr. for our 3rd trip there but ended up leaving without seeing anyone at 1115 for 1015 appt. 60 min behind appt at 10am is ridiculous. Tiki in billing is extremely unprofessional and needs a different job! They entered in the wrong address after we moved. They sent out a statement, which I never got. I said "we have not received any mail from you guys." But before we could establish the incorrect address, she said to me, verbatim, "it's not my problem you don't know how to hold onto your mail!" My first time here, we just moved to Renton, the place is extremely difficult to find with absolutely no signs anywhere every directory that I looked at didn't have them listed, I had to stop and ask several different hospital staff members for help after parking in the wrong parking lot the first time I was happy I found the right lot on the second try because there were so many different places to park that would have been way to far of a walk for my toddler. When u walked in the waiting room was packed, small and loud and nothing at all for the kids to do while we wait. I've already been here for 15 minutes and no one has checked me in (besides me signing in on a piece of paper) so I'm currently on yelp writing this review and looking for a different pediatrician. After going back and adding more to this review it's been a total of 30 minutes since I've sat down.... still nothing. read more

Love this doctors office. We've seen 3 different pediatricians and have liked all of them (Moore is our primary and our favorite). Haven't had any problems with billing -- we pay our copay when we check in and send them a check when we get the bill. If I could change anything it would be a more spacious waiting room and the ability to see your medical files and pay your bill online. All things I'm willing to sacrifice for the awesome doctors! I saw Dr. Anderson growing up, he was my pediatrician. And now he's seeing my niece, my nephew, and my step son. (And if my husband and I ever have children, they will go see Dr. Anderson.) I can't imagine them going anywhere else. The place is always clean, the staff super friendly and caring, and Dr. Anderson is one of the most intelligent man I know. We see Dr. Meta Lee at VCC. We have had a very good experience here over the last 2 and a half years. Wait times are generally short, 15 minutes or less. There has only been one significant exception in the many visits we've made, when Dr. Lee was dealing with some kind of emergency. Dr. Lee herself has been wonderful. She has been responsive to our concerns and always taking anything we've brought up seriously. On the flip side, she does not seem prone to too much intervention. She was also very supportive of my breastfeeding, and helped us through some early weight gain issues with my oldest daugher (didn't regain birth weight by 2 weeks) without formula supplementation, leading to 20 months of succesful BFing. She also worked with us when my oldest was a late talker - always taking our concerns seriously, but never pushing intervention. My only complaint would be that she was unfamiliar with baby-led weaning; it may be a fad, but it's a very popular technique these days. We've generally been able to get an appointment without much notice, though not always with Dr. Lee. The office staff are a little unprofessional, and the office waiting room is not impressive. There is no separate room for sick vs. healthy kids. Nevertheless, our overall experience here has been very positive, and I'd recommend Dr. Lee in particular. read more

If your child is over the age of 12 I would NOT recommend seeing Dr. Richter! Although I believe she is a good doctor, she absolutely does not listen to what the patient has to say - but instead appears to prefer to interact with the parent. My daughter has suffered for the past two years with many sore throats, at least one per month. Dr. Richter's diagnosis - poor personal hygiene. ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! We finally found a clinic that would accept patient's under the age of 18. The new physician took one look at her throat and referred her to a specialist. She said that her tonsils where some of the biggest she had ever seen and could tell that she had been suffering for quite some time. Again, although I believe Dr. Richter is probably a good pediatrician, if you need anything beyond basic immunizations I would go somewhere else! read more

I have been very impressed with this place. Especially Dr. Moore and his MA's/Nurses. They are all so professional and friendly. Dr. Moore has cared for my sons since early on (they're now 6&3) and just has a way of making you feel well cared for- with his upbeat, gracious attitude. He's full of information and really listens to parents concerns. He seems to take a lot of pride in his work. I can always count on getting in quickly (same day) if there's a pressing issue. And the kids love hanging out in the lobby, watching the fish or a movie. Great place and people!!! read more

I have had an amazing experience with this clinic and I absolutely love Dr. Anderson. He is truly an amazing pediatrician. Unfortunately, I'm only giving them 4 stars. Everytime I attempt to make a private appointment, a nurse has to be notified and they have to call you back to set it up. I was able to talk to a nurse but this nurse redirected me to Dr Anderson's actual nurse who then left me a VM and asked me what's my concern. All I wanted is to see my kid's doctor but I have to keep explaining myself. Other than the run around, this is a good clinic. A little inefficient as they don't have the call centers to do the handiwork- but it's great! read more

The doctor my child was seeing was great however, because I was unable to pay my child's bill on time I am no longer able to schedule appointments with my child's doctor. My daughter was born during the pandemic, I am a single parent, and I work full-time. I have made several attempts to make payments but I will told by the office's billing department that I can not make payments online and they do not accept payment plans. I was told to drive to the office or call. The business hours are the same as my working hours and most of the time the billing person does not answer the phone. I was told to figure it out and I can not make appointments with this office any longer. They have poor customer service and they do not have any intentions to create ways to allow their customers to pay online. I am disheartened by the way I was treated by the office staff, when I could have made payments of they were open to a payment plan during this difficult time. read more

This review has nothing to do with the care my child receives here, the physicians are top notch and my sons doctor, Dr. Richter is wonderful! This review is for the bookkeeping department. My son had a visit during a transitional period where my husband was switching jobs and therefore switching health insurance. We ended up being billed for this visit when it was something that the new insurance should have covered. I had bookkeeping bill the insurance again and it came back slightly less. I informed bookkeeping that I was going back and forth with the insurance company as the visit should have been fully covered and would remit payment after a final decision was reached on the coverage. After much discussion with the insurance I was forced to yield as apparently the policy can only cover up to a certain percentage when the visit took place before my sons new coverage had kicked in. After this point, I mailed in a check for partial payment of the bill, which was approx. $300. I mistakenly forgot to sign the check & bookkeeping said they sent it back to my old address. I had a forwarding order in place with the post office but have still never received it. So, at this point bookkeeping was aware I was attempting to make payment and never once called me to notify me of the check return. I then called on the 15th to make my sons 12mo. appointment, where I was then informed about the check and I set up arrangements to make payment on the balance at my appointment on the 30th. In between that phone call and the appointment a letter was sent out to me stating that Valley Children's would no longer be caring for my child and would provide a 30 day grace period in case of an emergency but would have to pay for the visit at time of service! The letter arrived the day after my sons appointment where I had made a $200 payment on the balance and nothing was said to me in person. I called to address the letter and was told not to worry about it as it was sent out before the appointment where I paid. Mind you my account has no other history of an outstanding or overdue balance, except for this one instance. My point was, why was a letter of that nature sent out at all?! I had made payment arrangements on the 15th and for the balance to be such a small amount of money, I was appalled that they would drop a child from his primary physician, the only doctor he knows over 300 damn dollars, a case in which had extenuating circumstances! And to top it off I call today to make my son an appointment for what I think is his first ear infection and I'm told my account is on hold and I can't make an appointment until the remaining balance is paid, $130. I paid it no problem but seriously?! You would deny my son medical care over an outstanding balance of $130?!?!!?!?! I would rather be sent to collections than to have my son denied care! I find that to be really ridiculous, & if it wasn't for the great care my child receives here we would be GONE! read more

Dr. Michael Anderson is the best pediatrician in RENTON!! We have taken our kids to him since birth, 6 years now. He is so knowledgable and trustworthy. The staff is all very friendly and they can always fit me in that day. I never wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room or in the examining rooms. My two boys who are now 13 & 16, have been coming here since they were born. Doctors are friendly and thorough. They always have time to answer all my questions, no matter how stupid the question probably seems to them! Only thing about them is there is usually a pretty long wait time if you go during those busy evening hours...and they don't stay open late enough! My kids have seen Dr. Anderson for almost 5 years now, and they've seen most of the other doctors at one time or another when we've needed an immediate appointment. And with my kids, I'm in there pretty frequently (like 3 times in the last two weeks.) Dr Anderson is fantastic. He never seems rushed no matter how busy the office is, and I've always been happy with all the other doctors also. I've never had trouble getting an appointment, never had a problem with bookkeeping, never had a long wait, and my kids have always gotten great care. I'm sure problems happen sometimes, but it's certainly not the norm. read more

Dr. Meta lee is a wonderful doctor to my son. The wait time can be a pain though. The only complaint I have is from the bookkeeping department. Im not asking them to care, but at least sound like you care and have options for people who have trouble paying their bill on time. When I spoke to one of ladies about sending me the rest of my difference so I can pay it all on my next paycheck, she was rude and notified me that I was put on a payment plan and they haven't received it for a few months. It was how she said it that was very rude. I understand they need their payment, but during the time I was paying, I was trying to see if I qualified for some assistance through apple health. I didn't want to make all the payments right away because apple health will not reimburse you if you qualify. Long story short, that bitch in bookeeping at Valley Children's clinic sounded very rude and not helpful, even after I paid my monthly bill. read more

SUPER LONG WAITS. Plan on a full hour (waiting in the office and then the check-up room) for a five minute appointment. They have a group of doctors and I think my children have been seen by most of them, at one point or another. Would very much recommend Dr. Anderson and Dr. German. We really like these two doctors but wish their office staff and scheduling system could improve to where there is more punctuality. You'd think that would be a priority, considering parents who are coming in with sick children. It's especially hard with sick babies, to wait that long. If you like 2-3 hour wait times for a simple checkup or shots, come to the Valley Children's Clinic lol. I do like Dr. Chu, but I am not a fan of the length of constant wait times... literally 45 minutes to see the Dr. another 30+ to see the nurse again to get shots. On top of that, the waiting room isn't separated so all the sick kids are running around with all the healthy kids, I don't like that. Most of the time we wait out in the hallway so that we don't have to be exposed to all the kids, so for that and the long wait times, I give them a mediocre score. read more

We moved to Renton in february and looked for a pediatrician for our kids. We found Valley Children's clinic and we couldn't be happier with our choice! Our pediatrician is Dr Anderson, a very knowledgeable and patient doctor. He answers to all our questions in a proper way and he listens to our concerns giving us always a reasonable explanation. He spends time checking everything about our kids' development and then he visits them accurately. He is available only wednesday through friday, but if you have an emergency, you can still call and have an immediate appointment with another doctor. it happened once to us: our son got the mouth-hand-foot disease and we had an urgent need to see a doctor. Dr Lee visited him instead of Dr Anderson and she was great, too. The clinic also has a phone number you might need to call for assistance and emergency during the night. We also tried that when one of our boys hurt his head and was bleeding. We received the right instructions about what to do in the immediate and then we scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Nurses and doctors are all good people, very competent and they always try to help! I love this place and I feel comforted that my boys are in good hands! read more

I would love to give this place 5 stars, but their phone system is a MESS... every time i call it takes at lease 5 or more minutes to have my call answered. Once it was over 20 minutes and I called back, and they immediately answered. They said that the phone system sometimes keeps people in perpetual limbo. For example, I'm on hold right now, and just hung up after waiting for 7 mintues. Other than that, I love this place. I saw a review that was 'all about the money', which i don't believe could be further from the truth. Dr. Anderson is wonderful and takes amazing care of my children. Whenever I bring my kids in for an appointment, he checks both kids ears, even if it's only an appt for one. He does this because my kids have a history of having ear infections. He's never overbilled, and if you have a large balance, they allow you to pay over time. read more

OMG. I am new to the area and I needed a pediatrician for my kids. I figured I can take them in for a flu shot. As minors, how else can they get one? After a full 10 min wait on hold, I tell them I am a new patient and I'd like to set my kids up there, and get an appointment. I say I figure we can start with a flu shot. She tries to look me up in her database, and can't find me. Confused, I ask where in the world is she looking? What database? She tells me Valley Children's database. I inform her gain that I am new, and she will not find me in her database. She tries to tell me that i did "not specify that", Um....no. My daughter is sitting right next to me and assures me that I DID. They then inform me that they will not do flu shots to establish my kids as patients. I say, okay, I'll take an appointment with a doc. Women on the phone puts me on hold and passes me to another woman, who asks me what I need, and we go through the whole dance again. She repeats the same thing the other woman said. I said, I'll take an appointment with a doc to establish them as my pediatricians. She says again that they will not give a flu shot to my kids. I say, again, I'll take an appointment with a doc, and I assume at that appointment, my kids can get a flu shot. She says, well if your kids are not sick why would you want an appointment? At that point, I ask her if he is even listening to me. She says she is, and they cannot give a flu shot to establish my kids as patients. I am getting pretty peeved at this runaround and decide to go elsewhere. I'm pretty sad about it as the docs seem really great but if the gatekeepers are this unhelpful, then it's simply not worth it. I was pretty stoked about their emphasis on tweens and teens. I hope to find another practice that also will make you young teens at home. read more

If it was possible, I would have given this practice zero stars. It is all about hard cold cash there. No care, "bring him back in a couple of days, we'll see if he gets better", etc. We left the practice almost 10 years ago, and praise the day we made that decision. They asked us to find another practice after I complained about their money-grabbing ways, and it was THE best move for our kids and us. My son has been a patient of Dr. Lee's since he was born. My son is a former 28 week preemie. By recommendation from his neonatologists, we decided to make Dr. Lee his Ped's Doctor (especially since she has extensive experience with preemie babies). Our experiences with Dr. Lee (and her office staff) have been wonderful since day one. She truly cares about the wellbeing of my son and is very encouraging when it comes to his development. She is not one of those doctors that are so quick to prescribe meds with every cold he catches. She takes the time to run the necessary tests to figure out exactly what is going on when my son is not feeling well. Which I truly appreciate! This clinic has an after hours on-call line in case something happens with your child outside of their normal business hours. The doctor on call has been a life saver! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Valley Children's Clinic (Dr. Lee and the rest of the docs there)! They really care for their patients and their families! read more
