We happened upon this restaurant while driving to the south east shore suburbs of Boston. I was feeling smart that we decided to come here rather than the touristy parts of Providence, RI. Despite that, the lobster roll here was still quite pricey - though it was also very good. This restaurant has a unique Dairy Queen type of setup where many people order from the side of the building and just eat outside. We were only one of two tables of people dining inside. Getting back to the food, the best bang for the buck on the menu was the grilled scallops and asparagus for $25. It was fresh and delicious and the portion size was pretty good. The grilling really brought out the sweetness of the asparagus. The clam chowder was also a pretty great order - only $5 and it had a generous amount of seafood inside. We ordered 3 and were almost full just from that. The colossal lobster roll set us back over $45 and I'm not sure it was worth the hype. It was delicious and dressed with mayo and butter on it's freshly made bun. One of those dishes people say you have to try when visiting New England. The fries it came with were fresh and crispy. Service was pretty slow though very friendly. I think the waitress was helping to do other duties in the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the ice cream but we did have a margarita. We decided to get some take out for dinner. The Buffalo chicken pizza was amazing. Crust was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce, cheese and chicken. Also came with a side of blue cheese dressing. The Buffalo Chicken Wings were crispy, tasty & meaty! Very impressed. The stuffies were loaded with lots of seafood & chourice, the were delicious, also came with a Chipotle sauce & a fresh lemon. The Clam chowder was over the moon good! Lots of clams, bacon & so flavorful! I asked for a side of their own Homemade croutons, which are THE BEST! Crispy, light, airy & full of flavor! Had a delightful pre-eclipse lunch at a new-to-me place. Tim, the owner, was super friendly and the cozy restaurant is spotless! They've also got a lovely covered gazebo space out back for the warm weather months (if we ever get them). My yummy whole-belly fried clam roll with onion rings was very filling and I really like the tartar sauce. I had no stomach room to try the clam chowder or have ice cream for dessert. Great service and seafood. I had whole belly clams, they were so fresh with a light batter. Melts in your mouth. My wife had the lobster roll and loved it. This is pretty much an order at the window and eat outside type of place. Good on one side, ice cream on the tiger. There are a very limited number of tables inside (5-6) with table service, and my understanding is that will become the pick up waiting area in the winter. We are at one of the tables inside. My mother and I split a fish and chip. Fish was fresh and not greasy (got the breaded fish). Fries were completely underwhelming. My husband got whole belly clams which he liked, and lobster bisque. The bisque was not very good. The whole belly clams did not come with fries- for nearly $30 would have expected fries. Ice cream window took a while. No kids portions for ice cream. Picnic tables while they were covered still were in full sun. There is corn hole in the back of the building, which is where the restrooms are also located. Last night our family pulled up to this spot, and boy oh boy it did not disappoint!!! Our food ranged from colossal lobster rolls, to fried shrimp platters, seafood platters, crispy chicken tenders, Boston clam chowder and even a big fish sandwich. Everything was seasoned well, and the portions were filling. Although there wasn't enough available seating inside for our party, we had a nice time on the outdoor patio. This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere inside, friendly waitress, manager said hello, and an extensive menu featuring a variety of seafood fried and baked, plus featured Richchardson's soft serve ice cream. . My dining mate got his not so mini lobster roll with potato salad. I ordered beer batter fried fish with fries and we both ordered lobster bisque. The lobster bisque served in a paper container was roux thick but tasty with chunks of lobster. The lobster roll was delicious. The side of potato salad tasted home made. My fried fish crispy not greasy but crowded with the fries in a paper plate . Side of coleslaw plain but tasty, tartar sauce good. We were offered free ice cream because of the restaurant's anniversary. The soft serve was delicious. Overall we had a good experience. We noted there was an outside eating area. Entertainment is offered Saturday night. The restaurant does not deliver but has curbside pickup. We enjoyed stopping here. In spite of its odd name we decided to try here. Pleasantly surprised. I don't know if you can eat inside because the weather was nice and we decided we would be eating outside . Kind of a different layout . One side of the building has a service window that is only for food . The opposite side of the building has a service window that is only for ice cream . We went to the Food Service side . Had clam cakes and chowder and it was delicious . We will try it again and see what else we like on their menu. read more

Rating on 2nd visit this time got the fishermen's platter. I gave a 3 because not a fan of the corn meal beer batter on all the seafood. The seafood itself was good but they only give you 4 shrimp 4 scallops a small handful on belly clams and a small piece of fish. The plate had more fries and onion rings than seafood. Today was our 1st visit definitely not our last. Excellent from start to finish. Staff were friendly and fun. I started with lobster bisque. It was so good with big pieces of lobster meat in it. I'm picky about my bisque and this was amazing. I ordered a clam strip roll that was so big I still have the whole thing as leftovers. I ate the strips that had fallen off onto the side of the plate and those filled me up...Hubby got the seafood platter, he still has food leftover and he has a big appetite...Food was excellent and portions very big. Ordered today through a delivery service and when I got our food the burger and fries were cold, I live a mile away. The lobster roll was chopped up claw that was tough and the potato salad tasted off so I threw it out. I started vomiting a couple of hours after I finished eating so I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager and he informed me that you cannot get food poisoning from seafood for 24 hours after eating. I didn't realize he was a doctor, insert sarcasm here. I'm still vomiting and was not offered any type of compensation. I was also told they used canned clams because we ordered clam cakes and they had grit like the clams were never soaked to "spit". Will NEVER order from here again and do not recommend it.
