    The la Bamba Burger
    Laurie I.

The food was not bad, but it was a bit overpriced. I've had better lobster rolls elsewhere. Burgers were undercooked & not well-seasoned They have A TON of stuff on their menu, so that was nice to see. Lots of fun photo props too, if you're into that.

    Scallop dinner

Came here excited to try. Super busy on a Saturday night around 8:00p.m. We ordered scallop dinner, chicken tender dinner, and a strawberry cheesecake frappe. Total came to 42$... wayy tooo much for what we got. First, the frappe barely had flavor it was more of a MILK shake with a hint of strawberry. The scallop dinner plate had Barry a handful of fries and the scallops were the size of a nickel. Super tiny portion was super tiny for the amount you pay. They weren't terrible but definitely not worth the price. The chicken tender dinner was same.. Barely a handful of fries and 3 tenders for 12$. Definitely not coming back here & would not recommend this place to anyone. Looks nice but save your dollar and go somewhere else.

8 ounces of lobster, apparently, includes the bun!

Darn Frates!!! Something has changed for the worse!!! New management maybe?!?!!! I will not be back!!! Your soda machine is pouring Mountain Dew incorrectly and when I told one of the girls, they stated "oh well". It happened the time before and I did not say anything. Apparently, Frates doesn't care. The worst part is the lobster roll. I talked it up to everyone I know. Then I brought some people there and it was way less than advertised, because it completely changed. I paid $33/each for the giant lobster rolls, sometimes dropping over $300 in a trip. Not so long ago, you would get a perfectly lightly mayonnaise tossed lobster roll with all knuckle meat in the bun and 6 claws on top that you had to eat first (my favorite part). I noticed the last two times I went, we only received 4 claws on top and the mayonnaise is now ridiculous. Like a five year old did it. When I asked the child behind the counter why there were not 6 claws on top per usual, as I thought the first time was a fluke and just accepted it, he stated that it may be the weight of the bun. WTF FRATES!!! You are advertising 8 ounces of lobster meat, not 8 ounces of lobster meat and bun. Ridiculous! You will not see me again, nor will I talk highly of Frates or recommend Frates to anyone of my friends.

Today we had the opportunity to visit the Taunton location for a bereavement luncheon after a family funeral, and I was truly impressed. The luncheon was held in a beautiful private room upstairs that was set up perfectly for our gathering. Everything was elegant, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The meal was served family-style buffet, and every dish was outstanding. The quality of the food was exactly what we've come to expect from La Familia--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly welcoming and attentive to everyone's needs, yet never rushed our group. Considering the emotional circumstances of the day, their kindness and professionalism meant a lot to all of us. And I have to mention the bread--whoever makes it deserves special recognition. I would happily buy a loaf or two every week if I could. A sincere chef's kiss to the entire establishment and especially the function team who handled our event so beautifully. La Familia continues to prove why it's such a special place for our family.

The chef actually crisped up croutons in a skillet so they were warm, and it ended up being the best caesar salad I have ever had. My seafood stuffed haddock was cooked perfectly and filled with flavor. Everything that hit our table was seasoned perfectly and fresh. These are clearly high-quality ingredients prepared with care and time, and it shows--absolutely worth the price. Compared to what you'd pay in Boston, I found the pricing very reasonable. I've been hoping for a restaurant like this ever since moving here 15 years ago. Until now, I've had to drive about 35 minutes to Solstice in Kingston for a similar level of food--and at a higher cost. I'm excited to come back and explore more of the menu, especially the burger. It's almost unheard of to find a place that makes its own burger buns from scratch or uses ingredients grown at a local farm. That kind of commitment to quality and craftsmanship is what truly sets Aire apart from our other local options that all rely on frozen, prepackaged ingredients and premade sauces filled with chemicals. Most importantly, when the owner of a restaurant is also the chef and also the person actually cooking your meal, you have the rarest situation in restaurants....the best situation for quality.

We were promptly seated and served by James, who was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He served us water and coffee, along with a couple pieces of homemade cornbread drizzled with honey while we reviewed the menu. My wife decided on the "Adverse Yaw", which was corned beef hash, thyme Vidalia onion, drizzled with Dijon cream sauce and 2 over-easy eggs. I ordered the "Hangar Queen", with that being a French Boursin 4- layer cheese omelette with corned beef hash, tomato, Vidalia onion, spinach, and mushroom. Both were accompanied by rosti potato, which is kind of like crispy shredded hash browns. To say that this was a phenomenal meal would be an understatement! It is evident that both our meals were fresh and made to order, using only the finest ingredients. The flavor was outstanding, and as such, these meals were absolutely delicious. I can confidently say that this was one of, if not the best breakfasts I've ever had! Thank you and kudos to both our server James and Chef Charles for an outstanding meal. We will surely be back soon!
