I went in just for coffee. The guy that goes the place helped me and I ended up not getting what I really wanted because he suggested something else. I went outside and added some stuff I had in the car to it and I ended up throwing the coffee away and going somewhere else. It was so dark and bitter. I don't want to give it super low stars because it could've just been me and other people like it. It's a nice place.

BLUF: Strong coffee, breakfast and lunch. Sea Level Coffee and Kitchen is new to Nags Head and serving coffee, breakfast and lunch daily. The coffee is strong and serious which as a black coffee drinker I appreciate. They have all sorts of fancy coffee drinks but so far I have only tried to black iced coffee and coffee on nitro. Frankly, unless it's hot black coffee, I don't see my venturing too far from these staples when it comes to coffee. On my inaugural visit I tried the Crispy Honey Dipped Chicken Sandwich aka fried chicken on a biscuit. Um, yes, yes, please. To make it even better and messier I added a scrambled egg although you can also get your egg poached. As it was, I was up to my elbows in this messy sandwich - no complaints. It was excellent. I figured I would start my way at the top of the menu and work my way down. Sea Level has seating both inside and outside. On a pleasant summer morning my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the constant shuffle of cars coming and going. This place is already popular! Sea Level has some good merch too including tees and hoodies with the store name and "Nags Head." Thank you Sea Level for making merch that doesn't say Outer Banks. I'll be back soon for more coffee, another breakfast sandwich and merch.

We had the bananas foster latte - iced with oat milk, the honey dipped chicken biscuit w/egg, a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a breakfast burrito. The staff was lovely but we didn't love the biscuits - they fell apart. I thought the burrito was way overpriced - yummy but expensive.

Excellent food, coffee, and service. I love the decor and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. There's lots of sitting space indoor and outdoor and would be a great place to go with friends. They also have a bench to wait for coffee and food to-go. I got the iced Paradise latte with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich with egg, goat cheese, bacon, and avocado which was very filling. I've been here multiple times and have enjoyed my drinks, food, and experience every time. The staff are so friendly and the wait time is not too bad. There are lots of vegan options, homemade syrups, and whole food options. I would highly recommend Sea Level to anyone who enjoys organic food and creative coffee. read more

First visit here and I think this is a great find for anyone looking for made from scratch breakfast options. While this is a smaller place there is great outdoor seating to compliment what they have inside. Most importantly, the seating outside is located on the west facing side of the building and it is covered----great protection from the early morning sun so you can enjoy an outside breakfast. Came with a group of five, one kid, and there were options for everyone. There is no waiter/waitress service so you view and select options from the menu and place orders at the register---names are called when ready. Everything worked smoothly and quickly even though this place was very busy. Love that all meals are served in biodegradable plates/bowls. The yogurt parfait was a healthy serving of yogurt, bananas, pineapple, and strawberries---2 thumbs up from the 9 year-old! Adults tried various combinations of there platters and everything was great. Highly recommend the hangover potatoes and the sourdough bread, both very unique. All-in-all, very good value for the quality of food. Highly recommend adding this to the vacation week breakfast options in Nags Head! read more

First thing they do when you walk up the steps or open the door is greet you very politely and hand you a menu. They are very nice and welcoming here it gives you and instant vibe you fall in love with. I don't usually get the feelings of being welcomed like this so I wanted to write a review. There is a lot of thought put into the food and a there a lot of options and the food is all natural and prepared with care. I love this place I wish we had more atmospheres like this made by people like this In New Hampshire. Thank I enjoyed the experience. I recommend this to anyone. read more

We absolutely loved this place! The food is so unique and different than anything you can find in OBX. Chef Andy is very talented in creating menu items that are gourmet yet served with only a few minutes wait, thanks to a very well-trained and eager-to-please wait staff. We had breakfast I(burritos and bowls) there and went back the next day for seconds. The way the dishes are served in easy-to-handle packaging was much appreciated. The coffee and tea drinks that we had were phenomenal as well. I particularly liked the Dirty Chai Tea. Dining at Sea Level was definitely a highlight of our OBX trip. It's an experience that everyone should experience at least once, or it like us, twice and more! read more

this place was really overpriced and the coffee and food was really bad I got the maple leaf latte and it was severely watered down and i asked for oat milk and they put wholemilk in it. I am a barista myself so I like to try different places but this place could barely make a latte correct me and my 3 other friends went and we all got different coffees and they all sucked. Not to mention the food was burnt and the biscuit was badly made and the whole sandwich together was messed up. DO not waste your money here it's not good and over priced read more

Not a coffee snob by any means but that is some damn good iced coffee. Also got an egg and cheese biscuit, which was wonderful. But the breakfast egg rolls were the things my stomach dreams about. And the service was incredible. I had a very short but incredibly polite little man bring me my to-go order and he dapped me up so he's probably already cooler than me. Tried out this place after passing by and seeing the sign, the drinks could be better but the food? My god if nothing else stop here for breakfast! They were friendly and super fast! The parking is limited it is a shared parking lot m-f there are spots blocked off for the other business. If you can ride a bike or walk during the busy times that would be best since it's a small lot. We got the maple crunch and Thai coconut cold brew. The Thai has a coconut floater which I assumed meant cold foam... I was wrong. It's like a block of coconut milk? I don't know, they were both drinkable but there is better out there. read more

What a cool place. We had a chicken biscuit and a coconut yogurt bowl. First, I was greeted with a pleasant hello by the owner and he gave me some great recommendations for a first timer. I got a regular cup of coffee and my wife got a chai latte. Both piping hot. Secondly, since I had my WV shirt on one of the other employees got to talking about his family from WV. Both food items were very tasty. Plan to go back tomorrow to try other items on the menu. read more

I found this place near where I stayed while visiting Nags Head. I've been to many coffee shops along the East Coast but Sea Level's latte is outstanding! Simple yet delicious. Very, very good! This was our first time having Sea Level and we will definitely be back. We got breakfast to go. We got the sausage biscuit, egg and cheese biscuit (added tomato and avocado), hangover hash (took off egg and added avocado), sweet potato hash, and egg and cheese biscuit (added bacon). The biscuits are so soft yet crispy, sweet and buttery, and are the perfect base for toppings. The eggs were fluffy and soft. The sausage and bacon were both flavorful and well cooked. The hangover hash was tasty, flavorful, and very fresh. The sweet potato hash was packed with flavor. It had the perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors, herby and a touch of spice. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a breakfast and lunch spot in Nags Head! Even though we got it to go, the short time spent inside the restaurant allowed us to enjoy the clean, calm vibe. This place is a winner! They opened April 25 and really created something special. First, the decor is great, the people are super friendly (shout out to Derek) and the food is AMAZING! The biscuits are some of the best we had! The homemade sausage was delicious and went perfectly on the breakfast sandwich. We had lattes and cold-brew coffees, both were excellent! We've gone multiple times during our week in Nags Head, was worth going back instead of trying other places! Worth the drive if you want great food and great service! read more

Looked for coffee and got so much more. The coffee was great with some unique flavors. My wife got the bananas foster and I got the maple crunch. We also were wowed by the menu which we enjoyed the salmon hash and breakfast poutine. Their lunch menu looks just as good. Must be new because I had to add to yelp. Went here on our last day visiting the obx early in the morning. Not much was open that early and their location was in a good location. I had a cold brew coffee that was really good. I also ordered a chicken biscuit with hot honey. The chicken was cooked perfectly and crispy coated. The biscuit was not what I'm used to, but it was still good. The owner was very personable and attentive. Will definitely come back for some of that cold brew and maybe try some other stuff too. Thanks! read more

We had a fantastic breakfast here. Both the coffee and food were amazing. I had the "hippie hash" which was delicious. My wife had a yummy egg sandwich accompanied by an espresso tonic. Our waitress was super nice to us and made sure we had a great time. So to end it, the food, waitress, and building/grounds was excellent and highly recommend (5/5 stars).
