This was such a cute shop. The pregnant mama milkshake was amazing and loaded with oreos and pb cups. You need both a spoon and straw. My husband got the dirty bertie which was good as well. I love the uniqueness to the menu. It was fun to walk around the shop as well and look at the retro and handmade candies. read more

First off the staff is amazing, so kind, so lovely and made me feel so welcome the moment I walked up to the counter. I needed that today. Secondly, BEST MILKSHAKE I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE. I know, I know, I was just raving about another shake I had a week ago, but this one made me want to cry tears of joy it was so lush. I would cheat on that other shake with this one (and I did). The place is super clean, so cute inside, and again SHAKES ARE TO DIE FOR. Like this would be on my last meal request. I don't know anyone in my house that didn't enjoy Mom's. It was (dangerously) located across the street from our rental, so someone was always stopping by there to grab a shake, a smoothie, an açaí bowl, or just to shop merch. Half the store was a merch shop and the other half was a sweets shop. My sisters all found goodies there (rings and clothing) that they bought. My kids got Pez (who remembers Pez?!). Prices are on the higher side, but there are also things you won't readily find elsewhere. This is right off the main road and def worth a stop guys! read more

Loved this cute moms ice cream, smoothie and açaí shop! In the evenings they close the main storefront but the courtyard walk up ordering window stays open until later. One of the coolest stores in Outer Banks! They have this cool dessert section and then if you go inside, nice vintage and antique with a modern twist shop! The details in this store are so cool and they have a lot to offer! I went with my family and got a bunch of stuff - tea kettles, candles, clothes, stickers, cards, jewelry, etc! My husband won't stop talking about how yummy his açaí bowl was and when I took him the first time he just wanted to continue coming back for more! Super cute gift shop ... a bit on the pricy side. A nice variety of home goods, clothes, cosmetics, old vinyl records, gifts etc. The bonus is the attached ice cream shop complete with retro candy and treats. My hubs got the best vanilla peanut butter shake. We wanted to go back to try the açaí bowls but couldn't since they were closed the last 2 days of our vacay. I would recommend stopping in to at least check it out and get a treat. Ps: We bought 2 chocolate bars made by Mast. All organic ingredients which we find appealing however they were both bland, nearly tasteless. One was the oat milk flavor the other mint. I would skip that. read more

Hands down our favorite shop in OBX and absolute favorite place to get Açaí. Our family has a tradition of getting açaí wherever we go, no matter where we travel we look for the best açaí place. We cannot even begin to explain how much we love the açaí here. We went every day 3 days in a row and have yet to find a better açaí place. Shop is so super cute like a posh boutique and the owners are so friendly and you feel like you're going into a shop where like Cheers "everybody knows your name". And we can't forget the soft serve and waffle cone. Something for everyone. We will find vacation homes in Obx based on the proximity of it to this shop! Not to mention their packaging which screamed quality and attention to detail. Everyone was so nice especially considering we were a group of 13 and with all our order and specs for each they were so accommodating. Cute shops and ice cream shop. Lots of very nice clothes to buy and the menu for the smoothies was top notch. We also purchased some salted caramels which we typically love but these seemed to have an aftertaste that reminded us of the incense smell in the shopping area. The ones we purchased were some of the last available for purchase. As there was no separation between the shopping areas the smell went to the food area and permeated the handmade chocolate. Great ambiance and selection of hipster beach gear and small artists. My tween/teens loved it and could spend forever browsing this place. If you're over 25, this probably isn't your jam. But they do a great job of curating wares and creating a vibe. The Birthday Cake shake might be my favorite (so many sprinkles!) or the Bisco Frisco.
