Few streets above hustle and bustle of Cannery Row and is a great choice to get away from all the tourist options. Plenty of seating was available for both inside and the outside are which I preferred as the weather was super nice. There were a number of grilled and fried seafood options available. I chose the combination plate - fish, shrimp and calamari w/ side of coleslaw and fries. All of the seafood was super fresh but could have used some seasoning to make things more flavorful. The portion size was pretty large and could easily feed two people. The tartar sauce could also use some searing but the cocktail sauce was really good.

This was a very nice place away from Cannery Row with much better prices than the restaurants on Cannery Row. Food was very good and full of flavor. The only negative is the fish sandwich is mostly batter with very little fish. Flavor was still very good. Just wish it had more fish. Service was very friendly as well.

Having been to this place several times, I'm sorry I didn't write a review previously. This is a family favorite, their fish and chips are always reliable, with better than average fries complimenting the better than average fried fish. On our last visit, we decided to try something other than our go to (the aforementioned fish and chips) and tried their grilled rockfish dinner. It was a great choice! Nicely cooked through without being dry, it had a nice flavor that reflects the freshness of the fish. We also did their Baja fish tacos. We all agreed it was one of the messiest, tastiest fish tacos we'd had in awhile. Generous piece of rockfish, with a sauce that compliments, not overwhelms the fish. Unfortunately my sons aren't fans of raw fish (I should do one of those genetic tests to see if they're really my offspring, but I digress), I nonetheless will find an occasion to try their seared ahi tuna which I'll have on the rare side. They can enjoy something else, so there. Still, if it's a first time visit, it's hard to go wrong with their fish and chips. Enjoy!

9/10 Ordered the Clam Chowder and Fish & Chips. Both were solid choices if you're craving seafood! Starting with the clam chowder, it was good and definitely filling. The flavor was rich and creamy, and the bread bowl made it even better. My only critique is the presentation. It looked like they didn't put much care into serving the chowder in the bread bowl, so it came out a bit messy. I also wish the bread had been toasted, which would've added a nice crunch and taken it to the next level. Even with those minor issues, it was still an enjoyable bowl of clam chowder. The Fish & Chips were the highlight of the meal and an absolute must-order! The fish was perfectly battered, crispy on the outside while staying flaky and tender on the inside. The coleslaw was surprisingly delicious and paired really well with the fish. Add some tartar sauce, and it becomes one of the best fish & chips I've had. Service was fast and efficient, and the ambiance was great. There was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a nice spot to enjoy a meal.

Sea Harvest is a great, casual setting with outdoor seating and tasty, fresh seafood. Their prices are pretty reasonable and they have a pleasant backyard kind of self seating which is really nice. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for quality seafood and chill vibes.

This is a self seating and then go to the counter to order type of place. The water is disgustingly. The codfish tacos were cool. Fish was flaky and not overly cooked. There are two bathrooms on the outside and the restaurant was relatively clean. The food was prepped quickly. Street parking is available nearby (free and paid).

Cute little fish market restaurant near the aquarium. The fried shrimp was plump and the fish was fresh. The clam chowder was tasty with tiny chunks of clam.

Sea Harvest is a restaurant and fish market. For the restaurant, you order at the counter and get a little device when your order is ready for you to pick up at the counter. Super casual, but good, fresh seafood. I had the seafood kabob which had a whitefish, salmon, and a prawn along with onion and bell peppers, served with rice and steamed veggies. All very good. My friend had fried clams, which came with French fries and cole slaw. Unlike New England fried clams, these were in little strips. Not as good as those enjoyed in New England, but still pretty good. All considered, a tasty lunch. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating and parking was easy in their little lot.

Stopped by on Friday 6/19 for an early lunch at about 11:45 am. The outdoor patio was pretty full but indoor seating was plentiful. At about 12:30, the interior was full. Interior is small and simple but that worked for us. This place is a fish market but also serves food and sells miscellaneous items (shirts, dog snacks). You order at the counter, find seating, and are given a pager. Utensils and napkins are available on the counter for you take what you need. Items ordered: Pint of clam chowder x2- Just okay for me. Plenty of clams but some had sand. Combination fish and chips- Delicious and the fries were good. Kids chicken tenders- Kiddo enjoyed this and his fries Special salmon patties and grilled shrimp with rice and veggies- 2 Salmon patties that tasted okay (I am not a huge cooked salmon fan but will try something different on occasion), 2 garlic shrimp, rice, and plenty of veggies. Garlic bread- Bread was light and not super dense. I also liked that this was not cheesy. Fish and chips- Generous amount of delicious fish and fries.

Surprisingly empty on a Saturday afternoon, came after a rough spartan race. Prices were affordable which I always thought any town by the sea would be expensive but then again this wasn't right by the ocean. Was a good feeling meal for the price just got some basic fish and chips and fish tacos which were both good. Loved the fish on the fish n chips tho but it is more on the oily side. Calamari was a little different than expected, personally wasn't a fan of it. They have outdoor seating as well after you walk in which was nice being outdoors. Solid solid spot for a coast town restaurant. Ugh didn't get a picture of my tacos :(

The fish & chips were excellent - the batter was exactly how I liked... light, crispy, beer battered! The fish was moist inside. The petrale sole was nicely grilled with a crisp carmelized exterior. The fish was flaky and moist. Clam chowder was really good too. Nice, creamy, chunky texture with nice pieces of clam. We spent about $60 for everything. This is a no-frills place and we really enjoyed the food. Definitely a highlight of our trip being from LA.

When we were in Monterey for a conference I googled where do locals eat seafood and Sea Harvest popped up. It's a no frills seafood market and restaurant. You get in line, choose your seafood and the way you want it prepared. Grab a drink from the fridge and pay. Then find a seat either inside or outside. Wait for your buzzer to chime. I chose the bay scallops, fried. My husband got fish and chips. The portions are huge. And the prices are way less than cannery row. There's a small parking lot as well as street parking. The bathrooms are outside which was a little odd.

Great outdoor area for families and your pets too.

The meals are tasty and super fresh. The service is quick and your buzzer signals when ready to pick up. Ambiance is very relaxed with tables inside or a large area outside with umbrellas. I'm adding a couple of new photos.

The seasoning used was just right and everything tasted fresh. They have homemade masa tortillas that are tender with good flavor. We also had the Chicken soup. My wife felt the broth could be more flavorful but I also liked it. It had plenty of chicken and veggies...very hearty. Looking forward to the leftovers as it's a large portion! It's important to note the exceptional service. Emanuel was our server and he couldn't have been more polite, helpful with the menu, and paid court close attention to the shellfish allergy we alerted him to. Lastly, the price is right! The food is not expensive and prices are noticeably less than those just one block away! Bottom Line - Highly recommended

We had ordered extra burritos to enjoy later in the day as well, but some brazen seagulls nipped our afternoon snacks while we were combing the beach for sea glass! Ar least we got some good seaglass, right? Deliciously fresh, modestly priced, dare I say best kept secret?
