This was my first time visiting this shoppe. We were in Santa Fe visiting the churches and decided to walk the streets and check out the shops. A quaint little chocolate shop with plenty of different varieties of chocolates especially the chili chocolates. That is what I was most interested in. So much to choose from. But I was able to try some caramel covered chocolate and red chili chocolate. It was so delicious. I'll be sure to visit here again when in Santa Fe. Thank you!

Located in Santa Fe just up the street from the Loretto Chapel and Inn/Spa at Loretto, walking distance. These chocolates are also sold at the Albuquerque airport so if you miss getting them here, then you can buy them at the airport. Boxed chocolates and counter displayed chocolates. Walked in and a guy was sitting near the floor entry way on his phone. The attendant offered to help us and said to take our time. As we were talking, she asked if we planned to walk around and said to be careful to buy chocolates now and walk around because they might melt. Nice of her to mention that.

My wife has a big sweet tooth. Senor Murphy is a requirement for every time we are in Santa Fe (about once a year on average). They make fabulous candy. Some of it is the old standards (candy apples, chocolate covered toffee, etc.) I am most excited about the products that have a local, New Mexico twist (pinion & caramel rolls, chili pepper infused peanut brittle, etc.) If you go, you MUST have a chocolate covered, frozen banana. They are NOT on the list but they are available. They are amazing... my wife talks about them all year. They are house made chocolate, frozen bananas pieces and nuts.

First of all, the chocolates here are amazing. My sister and I stayed at The Old Santa Fe Inn while in Santa Fe on vacation and when we arrived they had two complimentary chocolates for us. The chocolates were so good we looked up where to get more--Senor Murphy's. We ended up arriving at the San Fransisco Street location about 10 minutes until close. The store itself is kind of hard to find because it's very narrow but located right next to the La Fonda hotel. Now for why I gave this location only 3 stars: When my sister and I walked in we weren't greeted at all. There were 3 other people in the shop. A woman announced that she would be closing in 10 minutes. We waited our turn to be served and then placed our order. When the woman went to ring us up she VERY rudely said "well you both waited until the last minute to come in didn't you?" I thought she was joking.. So I laughed and said "yes, sorry!" She told us that next time we want chocolates we can always go to the location by the mall down the street which closes at 7pm instead. Then she took my payment, and boxed the candy up for us, not thanking us at all. Service is very important to me and the woman here left me with the worst taste in my mouth. Luckily I had some absolutely amazing sea salted caramel chocolates to help me forget it.

Pretty good chocolate. I had a chocolate cover Pinon nut. And I swear it tasted like a magical forest had a baby with a woman.

Candy quality has plummeted since ownership change. Cheap ingredients. Just bad. Staff is nice.

On our way to Meow Wolf from Albuquerque, we stopped by Sweet Santa Fe to get some of those famous…read morebiscochitos (New Mexico's official cookie) we've heard so much about. The shop is cute, and bigger than expected. It's conveniently located near the restrooms of the outlet mall, and the entrance is advertised visibly from the parking lot. (You know how some shops in outlet malls are impossible to find and you just have to hope you parked at the nearest entrance? No guessing here!) They serve much more than cookies! We only came for sweets, but they serve sandwiches, pastries, and quiche, etc as well. The lady behind the counter was slicing freshly made fudge when we came in. They did not have cupcakes or French macarons if that's what you're looking for. The biscochitos did not disappoint! No worries see they are award winners! They're like a shortbread cookie lightly flavored with anise and sprinkled with cinnamon. Even better, they come packaged in cute little 3-packs for $3.75 that are perfect souvenirs to take home! They come in a bigger box too, but I'm a sucker for cute packaging. Oh- and they have gluten-free biscochitos and other cookies too! Speaking of cute.... The truffles! So many different flavors to choose from. We ended up getting a pre-packaged (again, perfect for gifting!) 4-pack of the favorites: pistachio, traditional Mexican chocolate, espresso, and raspberry. I'm usually not into truffles because all the ones I've had have been solid on the inside, but these were so creamy, smooth, and delicious! I was most excited to try the pistachio, but surprisingly, that ended up being my least favorite of the four. Something just didn't taste very pistachio-y, but I couldn't put my finger on what it DID taste like. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. In another twist, the raspberry was much better than I expected. Raspberry in sweets tends to taste fake to me, but this was just right, and the chocolate didn't overpower it. The traditional Mexican chocolate had a bit of a kick to it; I loved it! The espresso truffle was good too. If you happen to be passing by, definitely stop in and pick up some sweet treats or even brunch/lunch!

Popped in for a treat while I was roaming downtown. It's surprisingly large on the inside. I picked…read moreup a turnover since the staff recommended it and also some mint choco dipped biscochitos. The turnover was spectacular. Extremely buttery and flaky with a great savory flavor.

When he finally gave me the extension, it rang back to him. His name is Harry Doscher. He's a crook. Not only am I upset, as I have been going there since early childhood, your store has stale candy and your customer service at this store is terrible. If you want stale candy and absentee service, then go.... But you're better off going to a real Chocolatier--like KaKawa... or heck, Alsups. You've lost loyal customers over time... and will continue to if you treat customers like such.

I was able to get her attention because her note was unclear as to whether she was closed for the day. She mouthed a few words which I couldn't hear or understand so I stayed at the door for another five minutes. She finally came to the door and unlocked it to tell me she was closed. When I reminded her of what she said earlier about when she would close, she said "I have been here for several hours" and just decided to close earlier. I am not sure what changed in ten minutes but we were looking forward to acquiring some of her unique ornaments. She didn't apologize or show any sympathy for closing earlier than she stated.
